AMAZING food with great ambience
Great food and service
We were a little rushed. We sat at 8:10, offered one round of drinks ordered and had our entree in front of us by 8:30. Server was ready to drop the check at 8:45. We threw them off by ordering another round of drinks and desert. Also, unlike most Mexican/Southwest restaurants, chips and salsa are not included. This was not mentioned until we asked for them. The food was great, the service was attentive and way to quick.
delicious foods and drinks! Great place to go to show off Philly to out-of-town friends. Everyone loved it!
There was an odd smell in the restaurant and the food came out cold.
Thanks nice food and staff
The food was incredible! The service was fast, but it didn’t feel like you were being pushed out. Overall, great experience!
Good experience overall
Amazing service, food, and drinks!
Terrific service, food, experience. Lovely ambience
Great place, but it’s REALLY loud! They need sound absorbers. But pretty good food!
Best guacamole around. And they give you a very shareable portion
charming and creative decor, fabulous food. Our first visit left us very impressed.
The Guac and Margs are fantastic!
La Calaca Feliz is a terrific dining experience. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the food is excellent. I look forward to going again very soon.
Very cute festive place, food was great but a little noisy if you prefer quiet
loved the bacon fig guacamole! Did not love the mole chicken but that is a matter of taste.
The service was great and the house wine good.
Great food and service. Will continue to go regularly.
We have been to this many times since it’s in our neighborhood. The food is consistently very good , with an excellent selection of dishes - something for everyone, including vegetarians. Very attractive decor with a lively atmosphere. The bar and TV screens are well separated from the main dining room, but it USA fun place to watch sports. The service is always attentive and caring.
We were a party of four for brunch when they opened at 11:00, and it was basically empty then. That was nice, and when a few more groups arrived it wasn't too loud. It was a cold day, so maybe it would have been more busy on a nice day. All but one of us had great meals, and the Bloody Marias were very nice. The items were a bit unusual, like what seemed like a big fried flour tortilla base for the huevo rancheros, but it was good and the server was very accommodating, bringing us avocados to add on and their in-house habanero sauce, which was very good. We liked that they took reservations and that it is close to the Art Museum. We will definitely go again.
Not a real fan of Mexican food but the food here is special nicely prepared and presented reasonable wine prices and great customer service.
I had one of the best fish specials ever tonight. Red snapper on risotto with a lime cream. OMG SO GOOD!
Perfect date night spot
Great wait staff. Loved! Food was delicious.
Great and authentic Mexican cuisine with a modern flair to it!! One of our favorite Mexican restaurants and Peter, our server, couldn’t have been nicer!!
First the bar..friendly staff good stuff well made margaritas. Once seated we were immediately greeted by our server who made a few recommendations which were good.
Had dinner out with friends. Great service. Yummy food. Ordered a pitcher of tropical margaritas for the table. We each had a different dish and everyone enjoyed their food.
We really enjoyed this place. The food was excellent and so was the service. Looking forward to going again real soon.
Food and wine have gotten much better since we last here. Will be back.
No major issues. My food wasn't hot and the waitress quickly replaced it. It was as flavorful as I hopped. The rice and black beans was bland. The carnitas tacos were just ok. The water was good.
Friendly staff, great guac, terrific happy hour menu, festive setting!
Good food and service. Was not crowded, so noise level was good. We’ve been here several times and the experience has been consistent. This is one of my favorite spots in the Fairmount section.
As usual, every everything at La Calaca Feliz was very good. We both had the 'special of the day', of Panko Shrimp Tacos. Very tasty, although my date felt they were 'spicy' to her taste.....but fine with Me.
A 'neighborhood' place we visit regularly......
Will be back!
Great environment, friendly service
The ambience of La Calaca Feliz is fun and friendly. The decor is funky and the service is fantastic. We had some of the most unique and flavorful tacos we have ever eaten (and we have been to many taco places). We couldn't recommend this more highly!
We went for brunch. 11:00 opening is a little slow on the draw. Nice servers. Food was “fine.” Bloody Mary was excellent.
