La Luna

We went to La Luna in Nov 2020. It was safe in regards to COVID. When I say the La Jamaica margarita was a hit! It was a good and those tacos were so damn flame. I got the shrimp and the fried fish. I really liked the grilled taste to the shrimp and the crema/sauce on the fish one.

It was my family’s second time at La Luna, and the food was as good as we remember. It’s rare to find a restaurant that all 4 of us are equally excited to visit, and La Luna is it. Truly some of the best Mexican you will find...anywhere. The environment is great, the drinks are creative, and the food is adventurous and divine.

The food here is really fantastic. The portions were generous, the drinks were well-balanced, and they were nice enough to accommodate my off-menu order of vegetarian tacos. With the safe outdoor patio seating, I'll definitely be eating here again.

We had such a great time. They had great music and food. Definitely my go to place to hang with the girls or on a date .

This is our date night spot! We love the food and drinks! We have never had a bad experience here! We always do Sunday brunch but decided for Friday night dinner and of course, it did not disappoint 🙌

The food is not as good as when my husband and I started going. It’s good for appetizers and drinks.

The appetizers were the best part! We ordered Queso Fundido and Elote (both were flavorful and tasty). We also ordered the La Luna margarita (mango and watermelon) made with Milagro tequila and those were equally as good! The tacos left a bit to be desired. We ordered the carne asada, sweet potato and chicken tinga. Unfortunately, the tacos were pretty bland. They definitely needed some sort of salsa so I asked for salsa verde and it made it ten times better. Very cute ambience and a good vibe!

These are the best tacos in Chicago! They also had a unique taco called the Cochinita... it was so delicious!

I went because the ramen Birria quesadilla and is awesome!! Delicious!! I also love your plates 😍

Decent brunch menu. They offer a bottle of champagne and orange juice carafe or you can order a cocktail... depending on your desire

I love the festive horchata drink. Very lively music and setting.

Dined here last Saturday for my husbands birthday... everything was great! Got seated right away, drinks were amazing and food was soooo good. Mole was on point and we could not put down the Birria tacos! My husband is all about good music while we are out and the playlist at La Luna was perfect! We will definitely be back.

Definitely a place to check out! food was good, watermelon margaritas are a must and I don't even really like margaritas!

Great service, friendly staff

We had a great experience from beginning to end. We went to celebrate a birthday and they sent us a few complimentary things for the occasion. We love their variety of drinks - we came once or twice when they first opened and their drink menu has grown to have more variety. We can’t wait for the downstairs lounge to reopen as it is a great place to have pre or post dinner drinks.

The Guacamole with pomegranates was delicious.

Service was very slow 20 minutes for our cocktails ,appetizer and entrees came out first .Our waitress never came around and noticed that our drinks never came or to check if we needed anything else . The manager finally noticed and asked the bartender to make our drinks. We ordered another drink before leaving and again they were delayed. We ended up cancelling our drinks and leaving. Also, don’t order and Aperol Spritzer. They don’t know how to make it. They made it with tequila instead of sparkling wine.

Great place for Mexican! Food was great, service was solid and place is very cool.

Well they don’t have the main plates on Sunday only tacos.....they should let people know on your website or the restaurant website.

A little upset.

We sat outside on the side street. It was nice and quieter than inside, great for conversation. Food was awesome and their service was outstanding!

Great service! Manager stepped over numerous times to ensure our service and food quality was good. Definitely coming back!

I would suggest that when people are dining inside that the DJ beware of it. At one point It was way to loud. I’m all about the music but when your trying to have a conversation with someone the loud music interferes. Thanks!

Food was below average and they said you have 90 mins even though we were drinking $20/glass tequila! and our reservation was at 8:00 they sat us down at 8:15 and closed at 10:00 so the unfriendly speech at the beginning wasn’t even necessary

Amazing food, great portion, and amazing drinks! Such a good atmosphere!

Brunch was perfect! The DJ was great food and Paloma pitchers amazing. Loved the new plates and how the drinks came served with slices of fruit

This was my second time at La Luna, and I loved it so much. The food and drinks are amazing, as is the service. I know the servers have to be crazy busy, but they are super friendly and attentive. Can’t forget to mention that the interior design of the place is beautiful. Definitely a new favorite spot of mine!

Great service and awesome Pilsen vibe

The service was great and everyone was very nice. This place is not your regular Mexican restaurant, the food is made different. Out of a 10 we rate the food at a 6. Was not really for us but the steak taco we did eat was okay and drinks were tasteful.

Very impressed with La Luna! Lysette our server was superb; knowledgeable of the drinks & entrees & was extremely polite and friendly. Food was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!

Our server was very friendly and nice. We had one guest join us unexpectedly and the staff were very accommodating to get us another table and still treat us great. Food was good. (we had chicken, steak, and fish tacos) pitcher of margaritas was the best part! Delicious! :)

Nice place with good music. The only downside is that it’s only street parking.
