Everything was great. Food, service, and recommendations. Will go back again
Food and service was great, I was happy to be able to have dinner and drinks with friends there. Everything was clean new and nice. For sure worth going for a meal.
Great food and service. Good margaritas!
Charming, unique place not far from Fremont District. Food was good (one of us had steak el pastor, the other had the grilled octopus). The margaritas were great. Nice find away from the noise and chaos of Fremont. Charming!
We were really excited to try this place, unfortunately we were sorely disappointed. Came in for Sunday brunch ordered, chilaquilles, huevos rancheros, and the corn cakes. Chilaquilles were very average and far too spicy to the point of not being enjoyable. I’ve ordered this dish many times in Mexico and it was never this spicy. Also the egg was undercooked. I like a runny or medium yolk but the egg white was still runny. Very unappetizing. Huevos rancheros were also underwhelming. Both had tiny portion sizes especially for the price. Luckily we also ordered the corn cakes or we would have left hungry. Best thing we ordered, but not worth coming back for. The special cream on the cakes is overpowering. $7 for a bottle of sparkling water.
We might come try happy hour, but this place did not even come close to living up to our expectations of a nice new Mexican foodie joint. At the price point and the upscale image they advertise, you’d expect outstanding food and a full stomach. Nice ambiance though, and truly excellent service, unfortunately we don’t remember her name.
Amazing service from the hostess , bartender and servers, little bit cold the patio, but super cool place, greaaaaaaaaaaaat drinks! they don't have the baby corns in the menu (sad) coming back for sure!
First time at this place and it certainly will not be the last. They have the rare combination of incredible food with personable service. We felt like we were part of the family in the first 10 minutes there. You MUST have the grilled octopus, the el pastor steak and a couple of blood orange margaritas. Incredible place with a great vibe and delicious plates.
This restaurant has a very unique menu, not traditional Mexican fare. It helps to have an adventurous palate. The staff was exceptional and the service was superior.
Kirby, the manager is amazing! Very accommodating and considerate to us and the customers that flock on the weekends! The bartender, we did not catch her name, was very busy for happy hour and tried her best to serve everyone. Erica, our server is amazing and checks on the customers frequently! This place is HOT! The firepit is the best place to sit, and there is live music, great artists! I would like to add there are certain things I do not eat and they customized my order twice now, amazing!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Extremely casual service, very hipster.
We found a hair in our food. The manager just told us that she was going to take it out our check, I was not planning on paying for food that I didn't eat because there's a hair in it. The male runner was the only one to apologize. Not the best experience overall.
Been to the restaurant twice and each time was amazing. On my third visit I brought a friend for his birthday. 5 people - the server had no clue about half the things on the menu and I feel like I should have just eaten at the bar. The two times I was there previously was amazing... the tip was included this last time because of the size of the group. That server did not deserve the amount listed. She should review the menu!
I heard nothing back from the manager. I gave a bartender the information to have the manager call me before I wrote my review. It’s been several days now. So the rating was based on no call because no call also tells me they do not care.. I feel like I wasted my money this last visit.
Great food! Great service! Nice to get off the strip and into another very interesting area of Vegas!
Amazing restaurant! It was my first time there and I didn’t know what to expect. But, it was overall amazing and the food was better than I expected! Will be visiting again for sure!
It’s a great place with amazing food and drink selections. Oysters were great and the octopus is spicy as hell :) but over all amazing food and cooked to perfection. The bartenders were friendly and the patrons all spoke to one another. I guess that just depends on your gregarious nature.
This gem is a true treat in the Fremont East crown ... great food, entirely reasonable pricing, superb service and fun atmosphere.
Great food and fantastic service. We sat at the chef’s counter and it was such a good experience. All the food was amazing. I would definitely come back.
First time here, the team service and food and cocktails were all great. Fun location with a great vibe and people around. Looking forward for the patio to open to return.
Seafood ceviche was too salty
Roasted cauliflower was very spicy - can’t eat them
Shrimp Tamale was okay
Grilled octopus was delicious
Albondigas was too spicy and a little salty
The food was on the expensive side.
Our server, last name was Martinez, was great. He took off the cauliflower dish from our check since we did not eat it.
Don’t think we’re going back to eat there!
Another great restaurant from Dan Krohmer! All the flavors were extraordinary with just the right amount of spice. Love it!
Atmosphere was really cool it will be outstanding when it warms up enough to sit outside
Good happy hour margarita
Amazing food. Lots of gluten free options and great recommendations from our waiter. Highly recommend
Loved everything! Started with happy hour, then rolled into dinner. This area will soon be the hottest foodie area in Vegas. Super fun for small groups.
Fantastic food with a new twist! Great drinks and really good selection and knowledge of tequila and mezcal. LOVE the Ferguson Hotel area that it has become!
We came to this little gem for my husbands birthday dinner and I have to say I am so glad we did! Everything from our drinks, food, and service was amazing! Only negative I have would be that it is really small and feels pretty tight when they are busy. Thought definitely does not discourage me from going back!
Great new restaurant downtown.
I don’t ever write reviews but this place was outstanding . The Chef there has reinvented cuisine that I can’t stop talking about . Must try the octopus dish and the steak dish . The sauces and flavor combinations were unexpected and delicious. 5 STARS for taste and creativity! Well done Chef !
Overall we enjoyed the experience. Service was excellent to the point of when we did have an issue with one of our dishes they quickly brought out a new plate and comped it off of our check.
Would recommend highly
I've been eating in Mexico over the last year, and this is the first place in the US that I have had the dense complex sauces that I love so much.
We were there early to get some of the $1 oysters which were as good as any fancy ones, and then everything from the menu was absolutely superb. The cocktails we top-notch, with great quality liquors standard.
La Monja is such an awesome spot!!!...it’s located in the new boutique hotel, Hatsumi...the vibe of La Monja is chill, and the staff are really friendly...good selection of beers, tequilas, and tasty cocktails...servers are attentive and quick, and of all days, NYE...shout out to our server Ericka...if you love seafood centric Mexican, anything on their menu is delicious!!!...we ordered 4 items, our favorite being the seafood cocktail...WOW!!!...I will recommend La Monja to anyone and everyone!!!
The food was inventive and very tasty. Our server Emilio was friendly, informative and extremely helpful. His pride in the chef was obvious. The spicy shrimp was served in a delicious sauce, make sure to ask for some rice to soak up all the sauce. The cauliflower and baby corn rounded out a terrific meal. We ate tapas style.Every dish was unique and special. Must try the Old Fashioned for a really tasty drink, and the wildly inventive tres leches to finish a wonderful meal.
I love the whole vibe down there at the Ferguson’s, really cool. I wanted to love La monja, love the idea of it. Very small menu and nothing blew me away, very disappointed with the food. Would go back and have some drinks at bar or visit the coffee shop over there or local businesses located over there. The complex is definitely worth checking out.
Dishes are pretty spicy but I loved their potato taquitos and the chamomile caramel flan. Restaurant is pretty small but they have a large patio. Loved the graffiti art on the wall and they have a pretty big drink menu
It was delicious
Menu wa small but the food was good. We plan on going back soon.
