La Posta Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen
As usual an outstanding evening out! The service, food quality, and management was excellent. Best in the are!
The other waiter asked if I would like my steak reheated. That was a smart decision.
Best pizza in the area. Highly recommended
Charlie and his staff once again make our dining experience great! Food was on point as was the service! Tables are well placed to accommodate Social distancing and staff were all masked and using hand sanitizer frequently.
We sat at the bar and Alex , rather than take the order himself, passed it to another waiter to give someone who wasn’t getting a lot of tableS the chance for the tip. Classy move Alex on your part to assist your team! And the service we received was perfect all around.
We both ordered the specials. The rib eye with the Marsala gravy was amazing! The branzino was perfectly cooked with a lovely sauce that paired well with the delicate fish but didn’t overpower it!
So thankful they are surviving COVID and are open!
Delicious food, lovely service! Comfortable and safe setting.
Fantastic food. Attentive staff. Five star experience
Great hidden treasure. Authentic Italian food. Service was awesome. Food was great.
Will be back again soon.
Pizza is their sweet spot and they have good wines at great prices!
Excellent dinner as always. The wood fired pizza was incredibly well seasoned with fresh ingredients and authentic cheeses and the desserts were sublime.
Overall a disappointment. In total we spent $180 and two of the dishes were a disappointment. The app, tuna tartar was frozen to the dish and my wife’s crab penne pasta lacked the promised canned crab. The good, my daughter loved her chicken fingers, the pizza was good.
The regulars get treated with a big smile from the owner/manager as he checked on many other tables or asked how they were doing. Wanted to like it more but it’ll be the first and only time to La Posta.
Family of 16 dinner was outstanding. Our server was on the ball with drinks and appetizers, then taking all our orders, paying special attention to the children who wanted to order for themselves. All of the meals came
Out pretty much together, hot and delicious, especially the special of branding. Great restaurant
Great food and service. Prices are a little high.
For us, this is a "neighborhood" spot. The food and service are always excellent. Can feel a bit loud/crowded on a busy night but that doesn't deter from the quality of the dining.
Great food, easily, low-stress accessible to people in and near Severna Park.
Waited a long time for food with two children. Owners recognized this and apologized.
Food was excellent, specials were very unique and delicious ~ we were celebrating a birthday with a group of six. Couldn’t have bern better.
We always have a great experience whatn we come here. Food is fantastic!
Of the five dinners ordered, three were quite good; two were not. With us was one child who ordered a child's pepperoni pizza. The four adult meals were delivered almost ten minutes before the child's food arrived. One dish--shrimp scampi--contained only four shrimp and had pasta so cold the butter sauce had congealed. My clams with spaghetti were very tasty but most difficult to eat with a very large and heavy fork. I had to ask to get a spoon to use winding my pasta. Additionally, our one poor waitress seemed to be trying to serve the entire room which was full about a 1/2 hour after we arrived. All in all, this restaurant charges way too much for the service or the food it provides.
Great birthday dinner for my girlfriend and I. We will definitely go back just because of the quaint feel, great food and the service was outstanding
We have been to La Posta on numerous occasions and although pricey for what you're eating, the food is almost always above average to excellent and the service is acceptable. However, this occasion was our worst experience to date, and it might have something to do with the fact that the owner was not around to ensure that his staff was meeting guest needs.
The biggest deficiency was the service: I do not recollect the name of the waitress (younger girl with glasses), but her demeanor from the moment that we sat down was that she had better things to do with her time and could not care less about her tables (we observed this with other tables as well). It took her an inordinate amount of time to come take our order and didn't even mention specials until I prompted her. Instead of periodically checking in, we had to get her attention for refills and even to clear plates off the table. We go out partially to be treated well and this was definitely not the case this time around (we all cook well in this family and with that kind of service, we could stay home and take care of ourselves). It was so bad that we tipped less than 10% of the bill (we normally tip 20-30% for great service) and left a note to explain why the service was so bad.
The food (again, generally good) was average at best on this visit. I ordered the gnocchi al pomodoro (please stop asking red or white sauce, by the way.. "al pomodoro" is red) and it was overcooked and came out a little cold. The pizzas - again, usually excellent - were missing the usual flavor and were a bit bland; tough to describe but it was just as if everything didn't come together as it should.
Overall it was a disappointing experience. This is an anomaly from what we have experienced in the past at La Posta, so we will probably be back, but would definitely get up from our table and leave if we were assigned to the same waitness. Hopefully things will improve with the new year.
This place is usually a go-to for great pizza and Italian good, but this occasion service took over an hour to receive our meals, pasta with seafood came out lukewarm but pizza was hot. Restaurant was not that busy or it didn’t seem.
Three of us celebrated our Christmas get-together at La Posta Pizzeria and enjoyed the food, the service, and the ambience. We were also looking for a place to not be rushed so we could exchange presents -- and we found it. I'll return.
Sean or waiter did an excellent job and the food was the right portions and very good.
Another really good meal with fast and friendly service, nice wine list too!
Meal was ok. Service was inconsistent.
Nice place, great food. A bit pricey, but worth it.
This was our first visit but it definitely won't be our last. The food and service were excellent. And with one of the owners (Charlie) strolling around the tables to strike up conversations it made the place very homey. The staff were all very talkative and friendly. It reminded us of our favorite owner/chef Italian restaurant (Arpino's) back in Pittsburgh.
Overall good, low key neighborhood restaurant.
Food was good but service was not. Server took order for my soup, didn’t even ask my husband if he wanted anything. We had to get his attention a few minutes later to place additional order. Never refilled water glasses until specifically asked. Had to ask 3 times for additional bread. Olive oil was good but needed some herb seasoning for the bread. Pizza was good. Server didn’t offer dessert, just brought the check.
Very Pleasant Birthday Celebration with caramel gelato gratis surprise. Excellent service, appealing setting and food was very good. Went out of the way to work with menu items for Gluten Intolerance guest. Looking forward to a return visit...soon! Pleasantly surprised authentic Italian.
Always great food ! Mixed drinks are excellent too! Service was attentive and not too fast or slow.
A bit noisy, but still very nice. Not cheap, but worth it. We want to keep restaurants like this one in business !
It was my wife’s birthday and she was served a cannoli with a candle. Very nice!
have always had a good meal at La Posta...esp the mussels
We had pizzas and a bottle of wine. Our waiter, Tim, was excellent and really took great care of us. We would definitely go back to try some of the other dishes. Great ambience. A nice dinner out!
First time trying it out. It was a Friday night, so we expected it to be busy, which it was. The biggest disappointment was with our server. He had a few tables, but seemed only to do one thing at a time, delaying our order, our drinks, our dinner. I will also comment that the current service model of waiter takes the order and other staff delivery food, appetizers, entrees is not followed at this restaurant and I think maybe it should. We waited for water refills, bread, anything extra was extra waiting-we were ready to go after 90 minutes. We may try it again. Food was ok-not amazing, not bad, but not special for the wait.
Love this place! Great service and yummy Italian food for all age groups.
The food at La Posta is excellent. We were a party of five women and enjoyed a variety of items from pizza to an evening special. All of us were extremely happy with our choices and with the chianti classico that we enjoyed as an acompaniment to our meals. The service was attentive and though the restuarant was at times a bit noisy we were able to enjoy our conversation.
Had a great dinner last weekend. Nice ambiance and good service.
We had a good friend in from out of town and we had all spent time in Italy in June so how better to reminisce over some yummy Italian food. We enjoyed pasta — veal scallopini, chicken parmigiana and the rock fish special served over linguini. Everything was delicious. My husband particularly enjoyed the rockfish. We elected to have prosciutto y melone (an antipasto) as a dessert and it was fantastic. The cantaloupe and honeydew were perfect and the prosciutto was yummy. Fantastic! Our server was attentive and on top of things. Great meal and lovely evening.
Overpriced for the quality of the food. Appetizers were the best, fried calamari and burrata. They did not even use fresh grated Parmesan but instead the type you buy in a can from Kraft at the grocery store. I was really hoping the experience would have been better
