   La Sandia used to be great, we used to eat there all the time when it was down in Park Meadows. Now it’s pretty terrible. The guacamole was awful, they clearly didn’t have enough avocado so they just loaded it up with onions and jalapeños. We never got a refill of anything, chips/drinks/salsa. Our orders weren’t right and the chicken zarape (which used to be fantastic) was clearly a cheaper chicken since it was chewy. All in all, this place used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Denver and we’ll never go back

   We took my Mother in Law to eat here for Mothers Day this year and we were impressed by the service we received but the food was not as good as I had remembered from years ago. Yay he guacamole was a standout! I suggest hitting happy hour for apps and drinks vs a meal.

   Our waiter appeared to have more tables assigned to him resulting in some delays with the food service. He was attentive when he could be. Ok, my food was barely palatable. I ordered steak tacos and too much gristle on the meat turned me off. No flavor, either. Beans and rice were ok. My guest is vegetarian and seemed to enjoy his vegetable enchiladas. The best item is the guacamole (hot one).

   It’s very rare I ever write reviews, especially negative ones. But, unfortunately, this place deserved it. The server was training a new server, which was completely fine. However, between the two of them, they never once came by our table to take orders, to ask if everything was okay, to see if we wanted a refill - anything!! Every single time, we had to flag them down and bring them over to our table. What made this more frustrating, is they didn’t appear to be overworked. They didn’t seem frazzled, or had too much to do. Just never stopped by our table. When we finally got our drinks, we asked if we could have chips & salsa. Unknown to us, chips & salsa were not free. What?!?! Every other Mexican restaurant we’ve ever been to, chips & salsa are free with the meal. Not at this place. They aren’t listed on the menu either. They just show up as a surprise on the bill. This is unethical business practice, hidden costs and hoping their customers just don’t notice the charge on their bill. When we finally got our food, one of our orders was wrong. This is fine, mistakes happen! The server seemed reluctant to take it back, instead explaining how this meal was also quite good. We still sent it back, wanting to get our original order. When we finally got our final tab, we were shocked to see how expensive it was, for just the 2 of us. After scrutinizing it, we saw that they attempted to charge us for the incorrect entree, in addition to the correct one. 3 entrees for 2 people. When we asked them to please remove it from the bill, it was met with a bit of an eye roll, like it was unreasonable of us to not want to pay for 3 meals, when we didn’t order (or keep) the 3rd meal. It’s unfortunate our experience turned out so poorly. Otherwise I think we would have easily given a rave review to this place. But, because of the staff issues along with unethical hidden costs, we had to give the low marks.

   The food was not very good. I ordered a pitcher of margaritas and they tasted like they were limeade. I don't think there was any alcohol in them at all. The salsa was not flavorful. The food that my children ordered was not very good either. It was a very disappointing experience. I will not be returning.

   This is one of our favorite spots after a day in Denver or in conjunction with and airport run. The food and margarita's are really great. The service has always been, warm, professional and prompt.

   Went for the first time. Ordered chips and guacamole, chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, churros and two margs. Everything was delicious, came out quickly and was perfectly proportioned. Will definitely be back.

    Great service provided by our server and delicious food. Unfortunately, we were seated in the main open area near the kitchen. We were expecting to have a nice casual and romantic date to celebrate San Valentine but we got a really bad experience instead, all the staff at the kitchen was extremely noise, they were yelling, screaming, laughing and cursing in public, they were very loud and rude during the 90 minutes that we were there. The manager /servers didn't do anything to address this situation.

    Great place to have some fun and eat good food, but you may have to talk loud to beat the music volume, and it was very cold enough to have to wear my jacket through dinner

    No puedo opinar mucho yabque quizá por el día que fui que era 1 de enero no había nada de gente y sin ambiente y todo sucio por la fiesta del dia de antes. Quizá fue mal día para ir , la comida que probamos que había en ese momento, fue nada espectacular.

    The manager was rude to our party when he sat us. But our server was absolutely amazing. She was so attentive not only to our table but all her others as a well as making all the cocktails for the restaurant. Food was delicious as always but definitely dissatisfied with the managers attitude. Will be contacting the owners.

    Six for lunch on a Saturday... first in the door. Drinks were good (and generous). Guacamole was excellent... tacos (also generously stuffed) and cheese enchiladas were devoured. Rice and black beans were so-so, and mostly left on the plates. STill... nice way to spend time with friends!
