Excellent service and food, weather cooperated and was a beautiful night.
La Soffitta had great salads. Had a risotto which was too sweet. Had to ask for some salt and pepper and red Pepper flakes to make it taste like an entree.
The restaurant has a great outdoor space during Covid. However the food was mediocre at best and expensive.

Service was sub par for a $$$ restaurant and the food wasn’t great. Best part was the meal was the bread. Had the seafood stew and the taste was disappointing- bland tomato sauce at best. Only great dish was the beet salad.
Highlights - great wine list, great ambiance. Chicken was amazing. 3 stars for food - scallops were grilled and char overpowered the taste of the scallops and pasta was bland. 1 star for cocktails - blue cheese olive martinis had jarred blue cheese olives (why bother - so chalky its inedible) and olives that taste like they’ve been stored in water instead of brine. Stick to wine and the chicken!
The service was the only thing that saved the night.
We had a great salad and split a mushroom gnocchi dish that was delicious. A number of different mushrooms with great texture, sauce and homemade gnocchi at a romantic porch location a short walk to everything.
We thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was outstanding, particularly the halibut. Our server, Sean made us feel like we family. At the end of the evening, we were having difficulty getting a car to bring us back to our hotel, and the hostess (Jeanette) got us a car in just a few minutes. Top notch customer service from start to finish.
The prices are very high. Of course we ate everything we wanted to eat. But I have been a regular for a few years and I found the pricing steep. We had good service-a little slow at first because of being short staffed. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
'Interesting' times for restaurants. Staff and chefs were good.

Excellent food. Pricey but comports with food quality and ambiance. Great covid precautions - love the use of waterside downstairs deck.
Had the Truffle Steak and couldn't possibly recommend it more! If it wasn't for Covid I would have hugged the wonderful service staff. Definitely worth the money.

Liked the atmosphere, menu line up and approachable - and recognizable wine list. Evening started off well, a little slow, but we weren’t in a rush. First course was went well, calamari, beet salad, seafood gazpacho all fine. Second course was didn’t work out so well, the burn char on the sea scallop gnocchi was heavy (dirty grill?), the garlic chicken bland and the duck ragu a little dry. It’s a good menu and a nice atmosphere so I would try it again.

The watermelon salad and the lamb were exceptional. Shawn the bartender made us great cocktails.
Accommodated us outside with lots of spacing. Delicious, especially the watermelon appetizer. Perfect truffle steak.
A really pleasant and delicious place to eat while we are all social distancing. Food was excellent, as was the service. It brought back memories of what life was like before the pandemic.
Food was undercooked and could not get the kitchen to more fully cook the food.
Great menu but both our main dishes lacked flavor. The salads were perfect , Camyus by the glass and not stale. Wonderful Sicilian menus and authentic ingredients. But the main course just missed the mark. 3 chef hats sorry
Service spotty - waiter was rarely available. The $48 fish stew was filled with fish but tasteless.
Chef Jesse is fabulous. This is now the best place to eat on MV.
Duck could have just as easily been potroast in the Ragut - indiscernible and definitely not stand out for the price. Table bread was undercooked (actually a bit doughy) Halibut was decent but heavily peppered. Calimari appetizer was the one real highlight of this meal. Waiter was ok but clearly (and by his own admission) a back of the house guy (former chef ) working the front of the house. A bit rough around the edges but nice enough. Bottom line - no real bang for the buck$$$ here!
The food and cocktails were delicious, as well as the service. I had a fish dish and my friend the risotto, we both had salads too and a fun seasonal cocktail. The restaurant has moved into the marketplace space, which offers seating outside on what feels like a porch of a house due to COVID protocols. You'll need a reservation. It is undoubtedly $$$, with a creative menu, that isn't overwhelming.
Waiter was wonderful. Social distancing observed. And meal was too notch. Will def return on our next visit to the Vineyard.
The shrimp scampi was bland and the pasta with it appeared to come from the bottom of the box, all short pieces. The risotto and halibut were good and all of the dishes were nicely presented and the service was excellent.
It was our second time there. The food was excellent the first visit but not nearly at the same level the second visit. At that price point we really expect better. Cocktails were excellent.
Excellent food and very nice atmosphere. Would only rec. adding domestic beers to the menu.
Halibut, Beet Salad and Lemon Blueberry with Fresh Mint Sorbet were all excellent. The creativity and layers of flavor of all the above dishes proved to be delicious are memorable : will bring us back again. Fabulous Bread and Olive Oil with Balsamic for dipping. Highly recommend all of theses dishes.
We were seated promptly. Nice outdoor seating. Food was great. Felt comfortable eating here during the pandemic
Outstanding service wonderful menu and a spectacular evening. Jeanette took wonderful care of us and the strawberry peppered ice cream dessert was beyond description.

Dining during COVID-19...felt safe and had an amazing meal with fabulous service outside on the porch. It is rare that everyone at the table raves about their meals-halibut, chicken and sea scallops were outstanding. From the bread, to the appetizers (refreshing watermelon salad), to the entrees. Dietary restrictions accounted for, as well. We enjoyed every minute.
The food was delicious. A bit on the pricey side for the amount of food received. We had a nice private table on the porch and we enjoyed our dinner.
