Great service, towards the end it got busy and we saw our waiter less. The food was good, interesting dishes and choices
The service was great and the food was very good, but the noise level was very high, making if difficult to hear each other and the server and impacted the experience.
Love la Strega!
Great experience! Definitely a hidden gem in our neighborhood. We will definitely be back.
The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Every step was fluid and we enjoyed the server, the service overall and our food. The hamachi was good but I would choose something else they do better. The beef tartar was one. We had the pastas, very delicious, but really want to return because there is so much more on the menu that sounded and looked delicious. We observed tables around us also enjoying their meals. This is the type of place to return over and over and enjoy it every time. The food is priced very well, so it is another reason to be able to return often. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND La Strega!!!
First time here and we will be back. Ambiance is very cute and cozy. Service was very attentive. My husband had anchovy toast, hamachi and boar Bolognase and raves about all of them. I had the chicken millanase, which was delicious. Highly recommend, a neighborhood gem
Absolutely the best fresh pasta we’ve ever had here in Vegas!!! Definitely coming back!
Best ever. Yeah!
This is our third visit to La Strega. Over all the food is really good and the service is good. This last time we ate at La Straga the noise level was overwhelming. We had to shout across the table to be heard. We could not have a pleasant discussion due to the noise level. The last two times we went it was noisy but not as bad as this last visit. Additionally we had to wait 20-30 minutes past our reservation time before our table of 4 opened.
I have been writing reviews for several years and being Italian I'm usually hypercritical of Italian restaurants but I must say Chef Gina Marinelli and her staff blew me away. Her Sicilian food preparations are both unique and extremely tasty. The restaurant was packed and you could feel the energy in the room. We started our night with a cocktail at the bar. The bartenders, though quite busy, were very engaging and we ordered a couple of Martinis. I noticed the Chef was not on the line preparing the food but actually expediting the orders as they were coming out of the kitchen to make sure no dish was served unless she personally inspected it. To be able to accomplish this feat you must have a hell of a kitchen staff which she obviously has assembled. While at the bar we were sent over a crostini with ricotta and diced tomato topping that was a subtle hint as to what we were to experience at dinner. Loren, our server, suggested we start out with the steak tartare bruschetta with pesto and ricotta. It was savory and delicate to the taste buds. For our main courses, I ordered the pasta al frutti di mare which was composed of squid linguine with rock shrimp, calamari, lobster accompanied by a spicy Pomodoroo sauce with a hint of mint. It was delicate and quite delicious. My daughter had a whole branzino that was prepared perfectly and was very tasty. Our meal was topped off with a couple of glasses of Plumpjack wine. I strongly suggest you visit La Strega. You will not be disappointed.
Love the ambiance. Favorite overall restaurant. Love the openness of the kitchen. Very welcoming. I have been several times and it is nice to be remembered when you return.
Service started out great, every person made a point to touch our table and wish me a happy birthday. Wine specialist made sure we were all taken care of and gave us many options to choose from.
Wonderful service and wonderful food. Calamari was fresh and tender. The Caprese salad was good, but the tomato to cheese ratio was off and we were left with a plate of tomatos. Everyone enjoyed their entrees very much.
Cons - Nothing chocolate on the dessert menu except for something with Nutella. I hate Nutella and Hazelnuts in general. Noise level. Very loud restaurant. They should think about lowering the ceiling, putting in rugs/changing the floor type or putting in a room divider. When the previous restaurant in that space was operating, noise was never an issue. They had a divider....
Would recommend this place though - just not for a romatic night out. Good neighborhood restaurant.
Service was great, food was amazing, and nice decor! I had a reservation and was seated almost immediately. Will definitely be back.
We enjoyed the dinner and our waiter, Dave.
great food. so noisy, you can't hear the person sitting next to you. service was adequate.
La Strega is very beautifully done. The food is good, but even the bread is ala carte so things get pricey quickly. La Stega uses a small amount of sauce to give flavor to their pastas.
Great selection of brunch food, high quality and reasonably priced :-)
Chef Gina never disappoints! Brunch was absolutely amazing. They have something great going for them! We will definitely be going back!
Always perfectly cooked pasta. The freshest flavors and friendliest servers. Chef Gina is masterful and truly passionate about her food.
We went to LA Strega believing it would be a fine experience and left knowing it was an incredible culinary journey that chef, the sommelier, and the wait staff made into an exceptional experience.
Love having a local spot that provides excellent food and service for a reasonable price. Give a 4 out of 5, 1 off for noise level but food and service make up for it. Looking forward to returning soon!
This was my fourth time dining at La Strega and again a wonderful epicurean adventure. This time I brought a friend to dine with who had never been to La Strega before.
Upon arrival, we were promptly seated in the main dining room at a table for two. Our server Lauren greeted us with a warm smile and invited us to peruse the menu and provided us with information on the specials not listed on the menu. We ended up sharing two appetizers and an entree'. We chose the scallops and the duck arancini as our appetizers and the Stracci as our main dish. All of it was incredibly tasty as always! Chef Gina and her team are perfectionists with their preparation and cooking of these amazing dishes.
We are lucky to have this lovely restaurant in Summerlin. If you are out here, be sure to make a reservation to dine here. You will LOVE IT!
3rd time there, exceptional food and service again!!
This place is unbelievable. Absolute 5 star service from everyone on the staff. They get to know you, communicate between themselves, and make sure to provide a personal touch to every conversation. If that's not enough for you the food is outstanding. It's one of those places that every single thing on the menu is good. I'm excited to eat there again.
This is a great restaurant. Chef Gina has brought LVBLVD quality cuisine to a neighborhood eatery. The anchovy crostini is a tremendous value. Her pastas are perfect.
This restaurant has some problems for people who like to experience dining in a comfortable restaurant as opposed to eating quickly in a noisy, crowded and hectic environment (our entire experience from cocktails to the check took 1 hour). More specifically, the martini and old fashion cocktails were smaller than most places and also seemed watered down. The martini was served in a champagne glass not a martini glass. The appetizer of scallops was tasty but consisted of only 2 scallops, a small serving for the price. The main courses had way to many greens on the plate and it felt more like eating a salad with some accompaniment rather than a main course serving of the entree. The noise level was extremely high. If you were interested in carrying on a conversation, as we were, you had to wait until after you left the restaurant. Service was excellent. Waiters and manager were attentive and tried to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Unfortunately their efforts and concern were not enough to bring us back to this restaurant again.
Wish we found Thai place years ago. Delicious!
Bottom line: food was great. Fried calamari was excellent, crispy yet tender. The Italian salad was the perfect amount of salad to oil and vinegar. Loved the beef cheek pasta, as well as the boar Bolognese.
Attentive friendly staff!
Now my complaint... arrived for a 5:00 reservation and the bar area was already lively. By the time our table for 5 was seated and eating, we could no longer hear each other across the table. (In the main dining area). We are now yelling at each other and contributing to the problem. I do not know if sitting in the patio area would be more conducive to conversation. Definitely not the environment for a romantic or first date.
I will go back as a party of two, eat quickly and leave.
My second visit and La Strega did not disappoint! From the minute we were greeted by the hostess, to our Martini's at the bar (Great bartenders!), the wine service and our waiter were wonderful, and the food ROCKED! Can't wait to return!
Casual, yet you can also get dressed. Not too formal more like business casual. What’s not to like about this place. The food is good prices are reasonable, the noise level is low so you can have a conversation and the ambience is nice. The food is the closest to California that I’ve found in quite some time. I just found out about the place two weeks ago and I just dying there tonight two times in one month that says something. I give this thumbs up and lots of stars
The food was excellent, however the menu is a little limited. The restaurant is beautiful but a little noisy.
We have been going to La Strega since it opened and the food has always been exceptional. Their sauces are very different than other Italian restaurants, in a very good way. I would never order spaghetti anywhere, but theirs is excellent. I have had most of the items on the menu and enjoyed all of them.
We love La Strega! Absolutely everything on the menu is amazing and the service is even better!
Great service and outstanding food
Everything about this experience was exceptional
Love the restaurant! Fantastic food and the nicest Staff that we have encountered. Everyone from the Hostesses to the Bar Staff to the Servers to the Sommelier are extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and a pleasure to be around. We have eaten at La Strega several times and it is always a wonderful experience. We love Amanda and Sofia!!
As soon as we walked in and I gave my name, they wanted to know right away who was celebrating their anniversary.
The hostesses, the manager, and the server all made sure to congratulate my brother and sister in law on their 16th wedding anniversary! When I made the reservation I did state their was an anniversary and I appreciate that they took the time to acknowledge this celebration!
Everyone was very personable and just nice. The food was excellent!!! Loved the ambience! The colors and decor were just refreshing! I highly recommend visiting La Strega!
The food was amazing! Only compliant really is that the noise level was extremely high and I had to yell at my waiter and husband so they could hear me lol other than that, wonderful experience and will be back again!
