La Terrazza is family owned and operated by two generations. Both ZIO (uncle) Giuseppe Salpietro and Nipote (nephew) Nicola Fuccilli. We invite you to experience our passion for Italian cuisine and culture at La Terrazza which translates to means “The Terrace”. This jewel of a location will have you feeling like you’re at the shores of Italy right in beautiful Belmar New Jersey. We are just steps from the beach. The food was good but the restaurant was extremely cold. Asked the staff about heat level and I was told it was due to large amount of windows. The staff was dressed with jackets to keep warm. We probably won’t go back again in the winter. It’s not a nice experience to eat in a cold environment. Sister restaurant next door, La Dolce Vita, appeared to have plenty of heat notwithstanding all the glass windows it has. As you can surmise from my previous comments, eating in a cold restaurant in the winter is one of my pet pieces.

Go for the view. Food was average. Pasta undercooked and pizza undersauced. Everything the other reviews say about staffing is spot on. Waitress was nice but food delivery was erratic from table to table. Had to ask multiple times for water but no problem get refills on drinks that we paid for.

Went with a large group. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived. Services was excellent and everything we ordered was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Food=OK. Service=Horrible. A poor wait staff can spoil a good meal. La Terrazza has great potential, ocean-facing views, good pizza, and a reasonably priced Italian menu. Service is horrific, perhaps it was the waitress that took care of our table, and the same waitress took care of two neighboring tables, both with similar bad service. From her description of a very specific Italian sauce: "It some kind of tomato sauce", to explaining why our appetizers arrived at the same time as our entree: "We're pretty busy tonight", we knew that we were off to a bad start. We never received bread (the other tables seemed to get that, at least), and we witnessed much confusion as tables were cleaned to await the line of diners who were trying to get in. The food was good, so the kitchen gets a good review, the eggplant part tower was as good as any I've had before. There needs to be some organization of the service at LaTerrazza. It did seem that there was a "manager" in charge, since the neighboring table demanded to speak with him. I witnessed our waitress cleaning tables, refilling water and cutting and preparing bread baskets for the tables (not ours, unfortunately). More attention to the orders that were being served may have redeemed her, and our dinner. Our waitress did comp our dessert items, she knew that she had screwed up. Normally, I'd tell her that it wasn't necessary, but I gladly accepted after our dinner disaster.

We have always loved this restaurant but won't be back any time soon. Our entrees were brought out before our apps and had to be returned and had to wait very long for the app. We had to ask for the bread halfway through meal bc they forgot it. Wait staff was inattentive to our needs and our expectation was they would have made up for mishaps by comping one of our drinks. Needless to say there was no recognition for all that went wrong. Service is just important as the food!

Food was good. It was raining so we couldn't sit on terrace and overlook ocean. Inside was hot and humid as it is an "open air" restaurant. Food was good Italian.

Recommend pizza not pasta. Ordered 'homemade' pasta confirmed by our waiter that was box pasta. Garlic allergy stated & dish arrived with a ton of garlic, not as requested. Waiter either had no clue or didn't care. He never checked back to see how things were or if we needed anything. Nice location but order what they know- pizza.

Simple Italian menu with all the basics. Pizza, Pasta and shrimp, chicken or veal as you like it. Good salads and excellent calamari (a good way to tell fi the rest of the food is good.) Cocktails as specially good, mango mohito and the cucumber Collins. Patio dining on Ocean Ave.

We were a party of six, one of us ordered a pizza for dinner. The pizza came out but no dinners. By the time we got our dinners the pizza was almost finished. Need to serve everyone at the table at the same time - Need to do a better job on their timing. Friendly Waitress, but had to be reminded about bringing over things requested. Food was all delicious and well prepared.
