The food (taste), service and ambiance was excellent. However, despite reviews & a server claiming knowledge and care regarding those requiring a gluten-free meal, my wife became VERY ill following her meal with symptoms consistent with gluten consumption. Our waitress even said that the owner has Celiac and that we (the restaurant) take it very seriously. We drove nearly 3hrs (round-trip) and expected a fine dining experience for my wife's birthday. Needless to say we were very disappointed and will not be back. I informed the restaurant of our experience however they chose not to respond.

this was my second time eating there. both times were amazing. from svc to especially the food. apps drinks entrees all pleasing to the palate..I LOVE LARKINS!!

Food was top notch. For as slow as they were during our visit, we still felt neglected by the waiter. Not terribly, but for the quality of meal it was, service could have been better.

I've been to Larkin's several times. For personal as well as business dinners.
This particular event was a group of 6 for personal dinner / catching-up-with-friends.
We had a problem with the way the food was cooked.
My wife's steak was well and not medium, my friend asked for medium rare with/no gravy.....it was also well with gravy.
The service was not normal either, we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for a replacement fork that was dropped, we had to remind the server twice what we had asked for that she did not bring and they were missing a bottle of wine that one member of our party wanted. The sommelier / front-manager was great to suggest an alternative bottle and helped us replace the mis-delivery on one of the steaks.

It simply was an off-night to what is usually one of the best steak and wine places in town. Would normally give 4 or 5 stars out of 5 for Larkin's. Just missed the mark this time.

Second and last visit within a span of 4 weeks. Both trips included poor service, ok food, wine selection poor and out of stock, and multiple billing mistakes. Never saw a manager or even somebody sensitive enough to inquire of our experience.

We have tried to support all restaurants especially during these difficult times, but if the restaurant won’t reciprocate with quality food and service, we will move on to something else.

We went for restaurant week and chose Larkins because we love the restaurant and everything that was on the menu for restaurant week. Also, we selected it because it had outdoor dining which is the only way we'll eat out during COVID. Unfortunately, the entire outdoor area was enclosed, so it really wasn't "outdoor". Fortunately we were the only people out there, so we felt perfectly safe. Our waiter Marcus was efficient and personable, We enjoyed talking with him and Bruce from fine dining who stopped by to chat. I got the stuffed snapper which was crispy on the outside and moist inside. My husband got the steak which was exactly medium rare as he requested. Our iceberg wedge and beet salad were wonderful as were the exquisite desserts of flour-less chocolate cake and crème Brule. We look forward to going again but will wait until the weather permits them to open the walls outdoors. It was raining hard the night we went, so everything was battered down.

We had a fabulous dinner and great service!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

The food was absolutely amazing, we were seated next to the bar so it was a little louder in that area than the rest of the restaurant it overall amazing. Will definitely be coming back

Larkins is always great all the way around. It felt safe, too with the covid restrictions.

Larkin's is always a special place to dine and we're so glad they are surviving this year! The New Year's Eve menu was delicious and our waitress was very nice. Here's to many more special occasions celebrated with Larkin's!

Great selection of wine and impressive entrees. After three visits, I appreciate their consistency of great food and service.

Larkin's on the River continues to be at the top of my list of favorite restaurants in downtown Greenville. Always great food, service and atmosphere.

Everything was nice minus my steak being over cooked.

Food was great and perfect for a holiday dinner. Only down side is that it was raining and the roof of the outdoor patio leaks occasionally. We asked about it and we’re told it happens sometimes, and that there was nothing that could be done. Other than that, food and service was outstanding.

The steaks were perfectly prepared.
The dessert price and Quality was Disappointing. Had the flourless brownie was the size of a kids size pizza the taste was very dry and tasted no different then a Publix brownie. I’ve had the flourless chocolate at Ruth Chris and it was so much better and size and price was well worth the cost.
But not at Larkins.

Our experience did not meet our expectations. We went Christmas Eve and there were no specials. The server was nice but could not answer questions about the menu. The food/presentation was ok but not in line with price. The prices are comparable with Halls but there is no comparison with all the above. We will not return. We did take care of our server handsomely.

The food was delicious but the server could have been more attentive. I had to ask for bread, pepper on my salad , a fork to eat with, and he forgot we ordered dessert and brought a dessert menu after we had already ordered. This was the afternoon of Christmas Eve and it was not busy. I wish he would have been more attentive. We love Larkins but server was not great.

My wife and I were in the mood for a nice dinner in an uncrowded environment. Larkins fit the bill on a Tuesday night. We dined on the porch which was plenty comfortable. Our server, Marcus, was pleasant and attentive. I had a filet and my wife had the shrimp and grits. Both were excellent. Another pleasant evening at Larkins!

do not miss the chance to dine here. it was the best meal i have had in a long time! everything was just about as perfect could be!!

We went to celebrate my sisters graduation and it was an amazing experience!!

We had a lovely lunch outside on the patio that had heaters so we were quite comfortable. Never had to search or wait for the server. Good was delicious.

The meal was great. Our service was OK at best. On previous anniversaries we have been given a champagne toast or a dessert celebrate. That was not offer to us on our evening. The food was exceptional as always.

Service was extremely slow and disjointed. Had to ask for things several times.

Perfect food and service. Larkin’s is the best place in Greenville if you are looking for and outstanding experience.

Food was not as good as usual but we weren’t getting our normal fare since this was lunch. The service was not nearly as good as normal and there was only one other table. We of course will go back, because dinner is typically delicious and the service very good. Just an off day

Really enjoyed our dinner at Larkin’s. The food was wonderful and our server Sydney was great. Highly recommend the basil balsamic bourbon for a cocktail.

Good food, great service, very nice atmosphere. Good portions. The best creme brulee we've ever had!
