I’ve usually had good experiences here, so I decided to try their brunch (avail Sat & Sun). I’ve only had their lunch and dinner before. We were a party of 10 and for most of our visit, we were the only ones there. Service was slow and some dishes came out cold. We had to send back a glass that had lipstick on it. Overall, the food was okay, but all of us agreed that we wouldn’t be back for their brunch. There are so many other good brunch spots in the area. I’ve had huevos rancheros from Front Street cafe (few blocks away) and that was 100 times better than this place and they aren’t a Mexican restaurant! The empanadas on Las Cazuelas’ regular menu were great (we ordered them as apps) - they came out hot and were delicious. I’ll be back for lunch or dinner.
Good service, intimate tables and meals. Nice for a valentines date. They didn’t let us know it was BYOB, so we were alcohol-less. Only downside really. Will go back. Good food.
The food was fantastic, the waitress was really very nice and friend but, the process with getting the food out seemed frantic. I think they had a rush or something, I feel bad even mentioned b/c she was very nice. We got there at 5:30 and needed to leave by 6:40. The food took a long time but, again, was delicious. As soon as we were done eating, we asked for the check and we ordered dessert at the same time. We paid the check which included the dessert but it was too late. We checked on it a couple of times but finally had to leave so, no churros for us :(
The restaurant was very noisy. The table itself which was a table for two was pretty tight for what we had, but no big deal we shared the guacamole, which was good except the chips were as hard as a rock it should have been a little warmed up. A date had shrimp tacos which I believe she enjoyed. I chose a more vegan item which was mushroom tacos. My tacos were okay except I needed a bath afterwards from all the grease which was good except the chips where is hard as a rock and should have been a little warmed up. If there's one thing I don't like it's greasy food. It's a much younger crowd but I've had much better Mexican food. Sad to say, I wouldn't return. I can't recall my waiters name although he was very nice. But he kind of abandoned us midstream.
Our waiter was extremely rude. I asked for water several times and he begrudgingly said he’d get to it. I ended up having to share water with my friend. The food was great and the drinks a plenty, but with a grumpy waiter what’s the point. #funbirthday
The food was wonderful and the server was very attentive to us. Excellent food, from the appetizers to the desert.
We had fresh guacamole with in house chips which were so good! Carnitas tacos, chorizo and shrimp tacos all were amazing. Friendly staff would highly recommend!
Food is always great and our waitress was wonderful.
Food was excellent as always. There was only one server taking care of a room full of people, that night (a Friday) it was busy.
This place was amazing— I highly recommend the passionfruit margarita (it’s BYO tequila and they mix it themselves). Yermin was our server and she was very attentive and gave great recommendations. The churros, tacos and empanadas were all amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good vibe, great food and yummy drinks!
