We had been wanting to try Le Raj at Nescot for some time and are so glad we did. The food was great and we will definitely return.

Great meal at Le Raj Academy. Posh, authentic indian with a really good choice of veggie and side dishes. Chicken Kurma was delicious and the Tarka dhal. Service could have been a little prompter but that was my only gripe. Excellent value for money.

I'd been here once before with friends but this time took my wife and son. There was only one other table taken when we arrived. Service was efficient friendly but unobtrusive. The food was exceptionally good, arrived quickly. The atmosphere is very nice both the lady and man serving us were extremely polite and friendly and both my wife and son thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience in all respects. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. Exceptional.

Considering it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was probably only half-full. However, that didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. Food was extremely tasty and of a very high standard. We didn't sample desserts as the main course and sides we selected were very filling. Service was friendly and prompt. They also appear to offer a take-away service. We will certainly visit again.

This was our second visit to Le Raj Academy and we were very much looking forward to it as our first experience was excellent. On this occasion my starter could have been a little hotter but it was otherwise an excellent meal with attentive service in pleasant surroundings. Will definitely return.

Lovely food. Good service. And a good price. Staff were happy to adapt menu for the children so all in all a great place to go for an evening out.

This restaurant offered an authentic experience of sub-continental cuisine. The venture is very enterprising located in NESCOT. Everything is new and very clean. There is a good choice of dishes although on our visit the two dishes my son asked for were not available. I had a sizzling tikka dish of chicken lamb chop and fish which was very good accompanied with an exceptional vegetable curry with nine different vegetables.My son enjoyed his chicken tikka masala . Naan bread and a chapati were of a high standard. The service was a bit slow but it is a training ground for youngsters making their way in the catering industry.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely come again. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Even the students getting their meals outside were well behaved!

Reallly good food and amazing service! I thought the decor was a little stark and the lighting too which let it down, but we absolutely loved the food and would defo go back and recommend x

I recommend dumping the harsh white lighting and warming the whole place up a bit maybe candles in the evening on the tables and a cool little plant or flowers such as lotus, Jasmin or orchids would work well for the Indian feel.

My wife and I were told about LRA by one of our neighbours a couple of months ago and we have been regulars ever since, introducing it to as many of our friends and neighbours as we can. The dishes that head chef, Neeraj, has created are absolutely sublime. Unlike many other restaurants, LRA does not use synthetic colourings or flavours - everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and to the highest standards – there are no shortcuts. The vibrant colours of the dishes are wholly created by unique blends of spices. The sauces are rich, creamy where required and completely devoid of the oft seen layer of oil/ghee residue that blights dishes of lesser restaurants. The attention to detail, meticulous preparation and cooking skill is of the highest order and I rate the dishes that I have had so far, to be of the same level as starred establishments in a well-known French-sounding food guide.

LRA is not only about producing the best examples of Indian cuisine, but also finding and training the next generation of British-based chefs in the fine art of Indian cuisine, through the relationship with NESCOT. It is an admirable idea and one that deserves to succeed and be emulated for other cuisines.

What more can you ask for? You have fantastic food, a cosy and quiet restaurant, the best takeaway ever (!), family-led staff, amazing value-for-money, supporting local higher education and giving a chance to budding young chefs. 10/10 for us!

I visited second time and its What a fantastic place! Really authentic fresh Indian food at a good price. They grind their spices daily so the food tastes amazing. I have eaten in well over 100 Indian restaurants and this is the best in my opinion. The staff were really friendly and polite, we will be going here again

We booked for 7 people for my birthday. We all enjoyed the food which was all really fresh tasting and it was the best curry I've had in quite some time. Thoroughly recommend this. A local hidden gem. Will definitely be coming back.

Really lovely find. Fabulous food, friendly serving staff, love the fact the chef comes out at the end of your meal to introduce himself and get feedback. Definitely go back. Would like to book the whole restaurant for a private birthday gathering.

Excellent food, great, friendly attentive service. the atmosphere inside is cosy, and the place was buzzing. The attention from waiters was excellent.
We got some delicious poppadoms with our meal, I had the gressingham duck and my husband had the lamb Rogan Josh, both superb!

Shame we were the only ones dining at the time, but it was pouring with rain outside, so that may have had something to do with it.

Great atmosphere with superb service. Starters are particularly notable. Well worth a visit.
