We used to love it here but the past couple of times there has always been a problem with our meal or it takes an exceptionally long time to get our food even if there is not that many patrons dining. This past time unfortunately will be our last our appetizer soup came out incorrectly we waited over an hour for our meals and then my fish was so raw inside that it was rubber, they offered to remake it which I didn’t really want at that point but they insisted and then charged me for it. I feel like since they opened they other sister location in downtown Plymouth this has gone downhill which is sad.
Limited menu, could use a few more meatless items. Food was very good. Waitstaff was very efficient. Nice wine selection.
Food review would be 5 stars, delicious! But I had the pri fixe for $35 and after 2 drinks and tip the total cost was over $75! Drink prices over the top. Will not be returning for that reason.
Probably the coolest bar and atmosphere in the area!
Sat at the bar and the service was fantastic!
Highly recommend and certainly will be back.
Food was very good. My wife had the salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I had the carbonara and although it very good, the portion was very disappointing. The pancetta was over cooked.
Not a fan of the wine list especially wines by the glass. Expect more variety especially cabs.
Heard the pizza was good but not available on Saturday nights.
We will certainly go back and try the pizza and enjoy the bar!
Fantastic food to die for. We had the braised lamb shank and Atlantic salmon and were blown away. The tiramisu is better than some I've had in the North End and excellent imaginative cocktails. You will love Leena's
Great all around. Great people, great food and drink, and very clean bathrooms. The latter says a lot.
Good wine selection. Interesting menu options. The cauliflower risotto was delicious. I had the gnocchi gorgonzola but wished I had the truffle linguine instead. The gnocchi was rich but a little too heavy on the gorgonzola crema.
Everything was awesome!! The food was spectacular and the wait staff was so professional.
Small portions, but very delicious. Music was a nice, unexpected touch.
Leena’s has always been a favorite. So nice to have Sunday brunch back, it is the best. Now they have amazing pizza. We are so fortunate to have the best chef on the south shore.
My husband and I have been to Leena’s before so we expected to have a great meal. However it did not turn out that way. First the waitress forgot to bring our appetizer. She did make up for it with 2 free drinks. When we got our meals my wives meal was bland and needy salt. My spaghetti and meatballs were cold. And not just luke warm, but cold. We did mention that and the manager came over and offered a half hearted apology. The waitress was much more sincere. They did offer and did remove my husbands meal from the bill. Not sure if it was a bad night for them or what was going on. But we won’t be going back soon.
Great date night atmosphere. Delicious Italian fare and portion-size was spot on. Our server was attentive and helpful in making our decisions with what to choose on the menu. Any questions we had were also answered right away and good flexibility with each dish chosen. We had a reservation and showed up 10 minutes early and were sat instantly, which was much appreciated. All in all, we will definitely go back and recommend to others in Plymouth.
Leena’s is a great restaurant, but this experience did not match up with prior ones. It was Valentines Day date night and the busy environment was most likely the issue.
Despite having made reservations well in advance we were seated at the High top at front door which was VERY drafty. We expected to be seated in the dining room, but we’re not given an option. It also took about 15 minutes for us to be recognized by the waitstaff after being seated. Had it not been for the host noticing, I fear it would have been longer.
Once our server was assigned our experience improved significantly.
We will definitely return, as we understand the challenges of such a busy evening, but we recommend a vestibule be installed to address the draft when seated at that table.
Went for dinner for Valentines Day, table wasn’t ready so we went to the bar for a drink. Nice bar staff, excellent cocktails but a bit pricey. Luckily our bartender let us know that we could order al la carte off the bar menu, we didn’t know that they were only serving a set menu for the holiday. I really wish they let us know when we made our reservation, honestly I would have chose another location. We didn’t love the menu but decided to sit at the bar as we could order only what we wanted.
We chose the tortellini in brodo and burrata for apps, neither dish was great, the burrata especially was not well executed and a poor “special”. For entrees we had the filet which was tender and tasty but only served with some roasted broccolini and three roasted cherry tomatoes for $48, honestly somewhat ridiculous. The other entree choice was pork chop served over roasted polenta with creamed spinach, chop was ok but served in polenta soup which drowned the spinach, again poorly executed and over priced. The dessert choices weren’t to our liking, not one chocolate item.
While we don’t mind paying top dollar for top quality, well executed food this was not our experience. I guess they feel
like they can get the high prices because of the holiday, the restaurant was pretty dead by the time we left by the way.
Unfortunately the experience left us with little desire to return. Always looking for an elevated dining experience this just did not hit the mark.
We’ve been here many times and it’s typically awesome, but on Valentines Day menu was underwhelming, food was mediocre, ambiance/atmosphere was far from romantic (too bright), and dinner was overpriced by ~$100...we will not be rushing back there like we had in the past
The food was great the service was good but the ambiance was poor. We were in an overly bright room and seated so close to other couples we couldn’t really carry on a conversation of our own. I would definitely not recommend the restaurant for a romantic evening.
3rd time going love it every time
My wife and I were there for the valentines dinner. We went the previous year and had a great experience.
This year our waitress worked extremely slowly, even taking into account how busy the restaurant was.
My wife and I both ordered the fillet of steak, the waitress didn’t ask how we wanted it cooked. They both came out rate, they were a lovely cut of beef but not even warm enough to melt the know of butter on top. All around us folks were sending back their steaks, we did t even want to deal with waiting even longer for the food, so ate from the edge’s.
We will be back on a “regular” evening to give it a try again but never on valentines.
As we left the restaurant the ladies were supposed to receive a single red rose, that didn’t happen , not a big deal but another negative.
We made the reservations for valentine's day through open table. No mention on their site or leenas it was a special menu. Menu and food was excellent, but we spent a lot more than we planned on. We would go back, but not for a holiday. The filet was excellent, as were the appetizers and desserts. Service was excellent. Seating is tight, ask for a booth.
They were pretty busy when we arrived. Was informed that they had a prefixed menu for the evening. We
Decided to stay and give it a try. Our waitress was very nice and informative with description of the menu items. We ordered drinks and received them fairly quickly. Order all of our choice from the menu at once. Glad we did! Appetizer came out right away? Then it stared to go down hill. We waited over 40 mins for our Entrée. People that were seated after us got their food and finished with their meal before we received ours. It’s to bad that it turned out that way. Food was good but not for the price! Also waiting so long has discouraged us from returning.
We’ve been here before and the food is always good. We will give it another try but never again on A holiday. There were only certain options on Valentines Day which we knew ahead of time. We ordered the black bass. Very good but portion was very small for the money. Service was extremely poor. I suspect problems with the bartender. 1/2 hour wait for cocktails and waitress was rarely seen. My husband did not want 2nd glass of wine since dinner was done already. Hostess, water girl and food server were good. Not sure what the waitress had to do? Wait in between servings was painful. At one point there were 5 tables without any food and 2 without drinks after being there for some time. Cost and service were both very disappointing.
Leena's is great. Good quality food and nice prix fixe menu for Tuesday and Wednesday night.
The food was less than mediocre, very bland and not worth the money. Would not go back. I could not believe that these are the same owners as Salt in Plymouth.
Portion sizes on the pastas were too small. Lambshank and potatoes were cold. Had to use a knife and fork on the lambshank whereas it should have been falling off the bone.
The food was good for south of Boston. The servers were great and very nice but the overall experience was extremely slow. The meal took over two hours for two drinks, app and meal. No dessert.
Excellent food but service a little slow. Overall very good & will be back again - it is one of our top choice restaurants in the Plymouth area. We would not hesitate & have recommended to friends.
Food was great —service was mediocre —we waited a good long time for a drink —-ordered an app and then the waitress asked us three times if we were done with the mussels when they were still piled sky high in the fresh bowl —we asked for another glass of wine and then waited again —I even asked if she forgot it—-
Leena's Kitchen is simply an exceptional restaurant
Wonderful staff, ambience, service, food & hospitality. My best compliments to Dan & many thanks to Jenna & Holly for great service. Will go back soon
Great food, every time. Dessert selection could be better. Bring back the Bananas Foster! Great restaurant, great food, great service. I highly recommend it.
My evening began with ordering the midweek bar special of $1 fresh oysters and creative signature cocktails. The bartender was friendly and did a fantastic job of explaining where the oysters came from and how they tasted. The oysters were amazing! I loved the 3 different types of sauces to try with them! When my reservation time arrived my partner and I shifted over to our table which was a large booth. The ambiance was very comfortable and yet sophisticated with Italian contemporary design and lighting. We ordered from the Wednesday night prefix 3-course menu. The choices were fantastic! I ordered the seafood misto for an appetizer. The calamari and shrimp were lightly battered and very tender. For my second course, I ordered the lobster gnocchi (handmade pasta inhouse) which came with huge claw and knuckle lobster meat in a lovely vodka sauce. For dessert, I ordered the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was definitely made in house because the ingredients were fresh, authentic and with real mascarpone. I make my own Tiramisu so I tend to be very critical of this dessert when eating out. Leena's Kitchen did a fantastic job of it! Even the bread was a nice dense texture reminiscent of my time spent in Tuscany. Overall, the entire dining experience was amazing including the service! The food is off the charts delicious! I will be visiting Leena's Kitchen again...for sure!
I had the scallop special and my girlfriend had the cauliflower risotto. We shared the white bean bruschetta as an appetizer.
The bruschetta was bland and unremarkable at $11
The scallops came with 4 average sized scallops over a small serving of risotto and 2 pieces of asparagus sliced in half. The scallops had a fishy odor noticed by both of us when the plate was presented but they did taste fine and were cooked perfect. However, $32 was far too much for what was served.
The cauliflower risotto was weak overall with little flavor and served heaped in a cereal bowl. $18
We both us tap water as the only draft beer on the menu I was interested in was not available
Sadly, we both had upset stomachs afterward, my girlfriend far worse than me. Aside from me trying one bite of her dish we only shared the bruschetta so not sure which was the culprit.
A very disappointing meal for $77 all in.
We had appetizers and a bottle of wine. Pricey but excellent quality.
Excellent as always
Very friendly staff, excellent food and service. This was not our first experience at Leena's, simply another pleasant one. The only negative was headlights from outside the restaurant shining in.
Always great quality food and service
Always good. Very consistent and the staff is great. Clean and modern space. Clean bathroom w/ cloth towels.
Just a great place
Third time and it was all that we have come to expect. Extraordinary flavors and textures!
Leena's has fast become our favorite restaurant! Wendy is usually our server and she is very professional, friendly and attentive! The food is divine and we especially love capping off a fabulous meal with the Tiramisu!
Bread was excellent. Arrancini appetizer ok. Veal could have been chicken for all I could tell. Two spaghetti dishes were excellent but small portions. Stick with the pasta.
Very expensive for what you got. A glass of sangria was $13.00
