Amazing food close or at 3 star level for any restaurant globally out there. Perfectly combining Japanese produce with french cooking techniques. We enjoyed the lunch, which was a great deal at 10k ¥. Scallop sashimi, Tokyo turnip, Ayu in a buckwheat crepe, summer venison with sea snail purée all where outstanding. Quite exciting for me the freeze dried and fried Ayu for me, but the best in taste was the venison with the umami of the sea snail purée.
Just above almost every restaurant I was before was the impeccable service. Maybe we are not used to the incredible politeness of Japanese people right now at the beginning of our journey through Japan but this was truly world class. The wine is definitely on the the more adventurous side with lots of biodynamic or vin naturel producers on the list (especially from Japan). I took the special pairing and it was quite exciting.
Excellent food; beautifully presented. Outstanding service, a special shout out to the sommelier Ken who was excellent in all respects
Excellent food, excellent services, will come again.
Lunch at L'Effervescence was my first Michelin dining experience in Tokyo and I will absolutely be coming back. Service from all angles was impeccable and great for first time fine diners: attentive, friendly, and approachable. The food is truly inspired, unique cuisine that blends Japanese inspirations with haute cuisine technique and presentation. Top favourites were the fried ayu in buckwheat crêpe and a wonderful Okinawan agu pork dish. Our sommeliers pick of champagnes, wines, and sake were excellent, and I gained a deeper appreciation of sake as a result! Unforgettable.
Hands down one of the best places I’ve had the pleasure to experience beating even those of three Michelin stars.
The service was top notch from the inquiry several days prior to arrival and throughout the meal from start to finish. The staff definitely went above and beyond to make sure that nothing was left up to chance or question.
The location of the restaurant was definitely not on the beaten path and would be a bit of a struggle to find if you’re not looking out for the stone sign. Once in however, the ambience was that of a place far away from what was outside. It was calming.
The portions are more than generous for being a 9 course meal with each course getting better and better. The wine pairing was just as spectacular as the meal.
All in all, this is a place that’s worth coming back to.
only recommend this place for 1st timer, i think they are not as good as they 1st open....
A spectacular experience of how edibles can be interpreted, speechless.
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I will go again for sure
Nice service and the food is excellent!!!
Had an excellent evening. All around an enjoyable evening w/ great service. The signature dish turnip was exceptional. I gave 4 stars to the food and could have just as easily given 5 stars.
Here's a wonderful restaurant, you can find the great foods and excellent service out there.
A real rock star of food and service
It’s expensive but well worth it
We have eaten at our share of Michelin starred restaurants (1, 2 and 3). This was as good as any of them, one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The lunch was truly outstanding and a good value. Food, service and wine pairing all excellent.
Everything was great but the hospitality was especially satisfying.
service is good
Really good food intriguing and fun - superb level of service
Such an incredible experience! I highly recommend!
What an experience! My husband and I love to travel and eat. Those are basically our two passions. This meal blew us away. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, the restaurant is beautiful and we got to meet the chef which is an added, super awesome bonus. Loved every minute of it.
The whole experience of food, service, wine and sake matching was amazing. We went for lunch and it was value for money. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had. So gracious, witty and beautiful.
If you like eating basically 7 courses of salads and 3 desserts you will like this place. Annoying pressure from staff to get overpriced champagne and wine using glaring eyes if you don’t order.
The staff was exceptional, and the food was outstanding.
My husband and I were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and honeymoon for two weeks in Japan. We decided to have lunch here on the last full day of our journey. The meal opened with a small golden bowl with liquor or wine of some sort (I forget exactly what it was, but it was lovely and set the mood for the afternoon), followed by seven courses, and closed with a matcha tea ceremony. Additionally, the kitchen provided a sweet treat of caramelized sugar sculpted into a cylindrical shape with holes cut out, featuring a lit candle inside; on the plate, the kitchen staff wrote out in piped chocolate the words "Happy Anniversary" (they'd reached out to me in response to my reservation, asking if we were celebrating anything and what they could write on our plate). Quite simply, the service was impeccable and incredibly well executed; the food was amazing, both in aesthetic and flavors and embodied true culinary artistry and creativity; the atmosphere was serenely beautiful and encouraged us to linger and enjoy the moment. It was clear that everyone, from the head chef, kitchen staff, servers, to the front of house staff took great pride and care in their work. If I could visit more frequently, I would but unfortunately, geography has us beat as we live in the U.S. We're already contemplating when we'll next visit Japan and hopefully, L'Effervescence! I highly recommend anyone visit, whether for a special occasion or the pure desire to have an exquisite culinary experience. Thank you to everyone at L'Effervescence for making our trip so memorable! I'll be following you from afar on Instagram. :)
The food experience was unforgettable. Love the ambiance. All the courses we had was well-curated and very delicious. The staff were very nice too.
Amazing everything! That is all you need to know!!!
Wonderful restaurant located close to Roppongi Hills and the Mori Art Museum. We were privileged to dine here on a Saturday afternoon and were last table to arrive as we had come by shinkansen from Kyoto. Ambience and service were outstanding and the food was delicious. An experience to remember!
Can’t believe the restaurant does not have 3 Michelin stars! It is one of the best meals we have ever had. The meal was perfect, setting was exquisite, and service was wonderful. We would definitely come back again!
