   Lima is a lovely place, great staff, lovely cocktails and good food. Possibly the best ceviche you'll eat in London. Odd thingson the menu (and hence not a 5 start review) were not available that evening , and the menu is short. Also don't order the generally fabulous pork ( which tastes like Wagyu steak!) unless you know it will come directly to you from the kitchen, as it cools quickly. Tell the staff if any problems as they are great at trying to help. I will be back.

   The staff were attentive and the food excellent. However the meal felt rushed for the price £270 for two - the tasting menu with wine pairing was over in 90 minutes. Otherwise I cannot fault the food or staff

   Beautiful venue, very laid back with a great atmosphere and fantastic for conversations over dinner. Excellent food and drink choices, opt for the tasting menu and if you feel daring, try the drinks paring too! Overall, I'd highly recommend it. One tiny change would be to the menus and the colour choice, a few tables needed to use the torches on our phones to read the menu properly. Dark green menus with dark yellow writing are not ideal. But as I said, that's just one tiny flaw out of an overall great experience.

   Every aspect of our lunch experience was perfect. Eduardo welcomed us with a smile and personal touch of mentioning our anniversary occasion, and chatted to us as we left. Patricia, our waitress, was lovely, attentive without being invasive, service was impeccable, including the pace of each course, her recommendations were on point. The dishes were innovative and contemporary, ceviche is worth going for, we had a couple and both delicious. Our starter included the octopus & prawn causa, a worthy mention. The beef rib was so tender I thought it had been cooking for 24 hours, not far wrong, 16 hours, it tasted lighter than my husband’s stone bass. I took a punt and went for Patricia’s recommendation for the dessert, tres leches, although I had no plan to go for a heavy cake, I am so glad I did as it was the opposite of heavy, it was divine, beautiful presented and balanced. I haven’t even mentioned the room or atmosphere, both meant the restaurant is worth the Michelin star. The place was full, yet no sign of rushing around or lack of attention, the staff worked as a team helping out, I saw both head of house and bartender at the tables. As you can tell we had an amazing time here.

    The food here is exceptional. All dishes (6 including desert) were of high quality, taste and texture. As were the pisco sours. Friendly and attentive staff and the ambience is relaxed. I will definitely return.

    Really great food. We had the 3 course lunch menu which was excellent value. Starter sizes were bigger than average. Would recommend the ceviche starter. The ceviche flavours were so good thanks to the great ingredients used. Main courses were great too. Definitely need side dishes too as you only get minimal smidges of puree with the beef. The char sui was difficult to enjoy due to blunt knives provided. Was celebrating a birthday and was given an additional complementary dessert which was a nice touch. Definitely would be coming back.

    Exqusite food and flavours. I had the tasting menu. It was sublime and some great wine pairings. Slightly patchy and, at times, febrile and inconsistent service levels. We had to wait a while for the final course and the bill! But friendly service. Noisy, because it was packed out and there were a lot of hard surfaces. But none of these points would stop us coming back for more. Pricey. 140 quid for tasting menu plus drinks. But magical food.

    Everything was excellent from the food to the service. Our only disappointment was the bread. The small brioche buns were relatively pricey (£5 for 2) and sweet, more appropriate for dessert than for appetizers/main courses in my opinion.

    Fantastic experience. Our food was delicious, flavours were authentic and presentation was impeccable. I recommend everything we had from the chevice clasico, miso aubergine and tuna tartare to the beef rib and cauliflower quinoa. The service was on point. We were greeted by Michele who showed great knowledge of the plates and had several helpful recommendations. We will be back soon.

    The food was excellent but there are clearly staffing/organisation issues with the restaurant. I booked the Valentine’s Day experience with my girlfriend, and upon arrival we were informed that the table was not ready and had to wait for 30 minutes seated near the entrance. When we were finally seated, it took a further 30 minutes for even the first course to arrive, and subsequent courses were out of order and took a further 30 minutes each to arrive. It also took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive after we ordered them. Ultimately we had to cut the meal short as by almost 3 hours into the meal we were still waiting for dessert. When the staff were at our table they were very polite and were trying to be helpful but it was clear that the kitchen was overloaded which was delaying the service substantially. I would not come here again unless I was confident they had fixed this issue, which is a shame as the food was delicious and well presented when it did arrive.

    Valentine's dinner was ruined by the fact the management appeared to have gotten far too greedy. Over-charging and under-delivering, with everyone being rushed through their expensive meals so the next group of suckers could be seated.

    While the service at Lima was good, hence the two stars, the taster menu was the most disappointing of all restaurants we have been to. 4/5 of the savoury dishes were cold and relatively bland, and the final savoury dish was simply meat and potatoes. Underpinning each dish including dessert were incredibly small portion sizes, which meant by the time we left and £200 down we were honestly still hungry. For a more rounded meal, try Trishna (Indian) or Gavin La Chapelle (French) if you're not committed to Peruvian.

    Used to be decent. Far too much focus these days on presentation, they’ve given up on the quality of the dishes. Service hugely lacking with ‘new’ staff unfamiliar with the menu or Peruvian food in general. Most disappointing meal in central London in years.

    This was a bit disappointing to be honest. The miso aubergine was undercooked and the wagu beef salty. We asked on arrival if we needed to pre-order desserts and were told no but they had then run out of half the menu when we came to order. Service was not great - they had lost our booking initially and despite telling us they would remove the aubergine from the bill, they did not. Overall we left feeling it was poor value for money and did not live up to our expectations which was a shame.
