Lindy's Landing Restaurant & Marina
We were seated in a booth in the bar. The bartender was also waiting the booths and the bar fairly full. As a result the service was slow and he did his best. I blame the slow service on MANAGEMENT for not being adequately staffed.
Overpriced warmed over food that i wouldn't take home to my dog
All around just amazing for a anniversary perfect setting nice people great food. Will definitely come back soon.
Took some friends on a Saturday night & initially enjoyed the experience. We ordered cocktails that we enjoyed. Two of us had fish tacos & two of us had burgers, food was good! Our server was pleasant & attentive. However as the time passed the noise level was unbearable & by the time we swallowed our last bites, we felt we couldn’t wait to leave. Additionally the TV’s were repeatedly changing channels by an unknown which added to the frustration (1 resulting on an info-mercial on mesh replacement surgery lawsuits). Perhaps it’s best to frequent this establishment in the warmer season so you can dine outside.
We enjoyed our dinner. Two people had the barramundi fiss, one person had the chopped salad and I had the salmon. We all enjoyed our meals.
Our server was very attentive and helpful.
Lindy’s is dependable, and changes up the menu periodically to keep it interesting. It’s a good value for good food.
Batter on the fish and chips was excellent!! Our original reservation was for 4, the hostess easily made accommodations for the 3 extra guest we arrived with.
Good service nice views
My server Chris was very patient and an excellent waiter. Everyone had a great time and considering how busy the restaurant was with several reunions and the homecoming it was really an outstanding experience. Thank you so much to Joyce Chris and all of the staff at Limdys.
Our waiter was top notch. Shrimp po'boys and hamburger was delicious. Appreciated the half price wine bottles.
Quite a disappointment and my first time there a few months back was good. I know to only ever sit at the bar and NEVER order seafood. 4 of us, no appetizers and it took over 10 minutes to even have a server come after we were seated. Mind you she was nice though and quick with drinks. The place wasn't very busy except some party and it was clear the restaurant cared more for the party than it is normal diners. After over 30 minutes of no food after ordering, the manager came to our table to let us know our food was being plated and will be out shortly (we hadn't even said anything at that point). More than 10 minutes goes by again and the food was cold. You can tell it was under a heat lamp and supposely was waiting on the scallops which are the quickest thing to make. Three of the 4 plates were seafood and all 3 went back to the kitchen for being cold and WAY overcooked. Well the second round wasn't much better - as the food was again overcooked and the vegetables, an upcharge, tasted liked they were just defrosted and had NO flavor (and they were what I liked last time I went). Lack of flavors, chefs have NOOO idea how to cook seafood and a runaround. Bright spot was the bread, wine and the manager took the 3 seafood dishes off the bill without us saying anything.
Also - the menu on their website doesn't align to in-person. I would usually credit it to a time lag but the menu online was the same as when I made the reservations a few weeks ago so they don't care to update. That actually happened my first time there too - so when i know what i want to get, it isn't even an option.
Lovely setting. I’ve been there a few times. Two times my salmon was over cooked but yet delicious. Fresh broccoli excellent.
Arrived on reservations and were shown a seat immediately. And then everything fell apart. Service was slow. Not just our table but the tables next door also asked if they could get service to the hostess as they had been waiting for quite a while with no attention. Order the Friday fish fry. Fish was like rubber. Terrible. Just plain terrible. The service continued to be slow the remainder of the night to the point where we couldn’t wait 30 mins for the server to come to the table after the food arrived to discuss the situation . The only thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere right on the lake.
Good staff but slow kitchen. Too many people at one time to eat food.
Yes, we would recommend Lindy's Landing Restaurant & Marina to a friend. We sat outside and it was lovely. The food was very good. Our waitress was very nice, however, we experienced a few situations. Caesar salad without croutons came with croutons. The guest is gluten-free. The salad came back with crouton "dust" still on the salad. Looked like someone "picked" the croutons off of the salad and returned it. Bourbon drink came without maraschino cherries. We had to wait a while to get them. The guest who ordered a beer had to wait while someone went over to the beach restaurant to get his drink. Our drinks were served separately. Spicy turkey burger with white cheddar cheese came charred with yellow cheddar cheese. We had to wait for a new burger, properly cooked, with the correct cheese, to arrive. The pinot grigio was given to the person who ordered chardonnay and the chardonnay was given to the person who ordered pinot grigio. The guest who ordered fish and chips asked for regular tartar sauce and was told that the spicy tartar sauce is what the fish and chips are served with. We had to wait a while for the tartar sauce. Overall, we were all very patient guests enjoying each other's company. We would recommend the restaurant with the advance information that the service might be a little slow, not attentive, and inaccurate.
Chicken club sandwich very tasty. Friend ordered philly sandwich and said it was dry. Ordered some juice that helped. Would love if they allowed you to substitute fries for cheese curds. I’d pay an up charge. I’ve inquired into this both visits but told no. Portion of fries was a little small. Prices a little higher than other restaurants with similar type menu. Paying for the view I suppose. Bring back the capreae chicken sandwich. You have a capreae salad. Why are you not able to make a sandwich?
Excellent view from patio, food good, service was slow!
Beautiful location, great service and food 👍. I would definitely recommend Lindy’s.
We've been coming to Lindy's for many years. The food has gotten much better over the years and so we've continued to come despite inconsistent experiences. Our issue, overall, is with the service - and NOT the servers. Our server was stretched - working both inside and outside. This is not the first time we've felt that the place is understaffed at the wait staff level. Waiting for your drink before dinner then having a beer missing has happened more than once. The prime rib was overcooked and sent back. Again not the first time in our memory this has happened. We quit ordering prime rib until this last visit. We were also missing a fish order (not a special, but off the menu salmon dish) and waited again. It arrived when everyone else at the table was finished. Our server and the manager were apologetic and removed the fish from our check. We're going to take another break from LIndy's and hopefully they'll get their act together. It's either more wait staff, dedicated bartender for the dining room, better training or better assignment of staff (why does it seem that there are so many people at the reception desk?). Might need a review of overall management procedures.
Birthday- good food, good service, etc
Loved it! This was our first time here and we kept asking ourselves how haven’t we been here before. This a great gem of a place. We will be back.
We enjoy going to Lindy's for the view and the food. I was bummed to see that they took the Spinach Artichoke dip off of the menu. It was amazing! Their clam chowder reminded me of a hearty stew rather than a clam chowder. It was ok but I wouldn't order it again. They took their Lemon Chicken off of the menu but had a Chicken Piccata. So I ordered that and substituted the pasta for mashed potatoes. It was basically the same dish. It was good but I was surprised at how small the chicken breast was. Normally I have enough to bring half of the dish home for leftovers. Not this time. But it was still tasty. My husband always gets the Jambalaya. It's his favorite! This time my dad tried the Fish Fry. He ordered the baked fish and said it was delicious. Our server was great and very attentive. Only request is that they bring the spinach and artichoke dip back!! Glad they are now on Open Table!
Went with my mom and 2 year old nephew. He lost interest in his food because of the fabulous view. Who can blame him?!?! So our waitress was very very patient, helped box up our dinners, and we finished eating on the beach. Which was quite delicious.
Booked a reservation on open table and it was perfect timing. Love the free valet parking. sat on the front deck which was beautiful looking at the lake. Fish fry was excellent, our servier was adequate
Great food! Loved being able to sit outside and enjoy the view. I made a reservation with a note attached that said it was my husbands birthday and we were celebrating. The waitress brought out an ice cream sundae at the end of our meal! It was so nice.
Love this place, however, our service was extremely slow. Hope it was a one time thing because we will definitely be back.
We sat on the patio on a lovely eveing and had a terrific experience. Will definitely be back.
Good food great service and nice views
Weny for my moms Birthday lunch!
I made a reservation 5 days prior to sit outside. I got there with my girlfriend ( it was for her birthday) and table was not available. They said we can wait for the next available. We then waited for about 30 - 40 minutes and decided to just get a table inside. They then sat us by the bar, and our server was the bartender, which meant we didn’t get good service whatsoever.
We knew it would be busy, as it was a beautiful Friday evening in summer. Making our reservation through Open Table was quick and easy as always but we still waited almost 20 mins to be seated and actually had to approach the hostess stand a second time as they clearly forgot about us.
Food was ok, I probably won’t order the same thing next time but our nacho appetizer was outstanding!
Our waiter was great; attentive, quick, friendly...
And always live sitting by the beautiful windows and enjoying the view if Bangs Lake.
This visit the service was not great. Server not very attentive.
Love being outside on the lake. Fun place for dinner
Great summertime hangout with quality pub grub and plenty of drink options. Live entertainment completes the whole package.
Food and ambiance was great. Our service was very slow however. There were six of us on Sun., 8/4/19 for lunch. We would still go back again and would recommend this place to others. I was also here one other time for a business lunch and the service was great. Thank you!
We love the view from the patio but bring bug spray if you plan to sit outside . We were extremely appreciative of the bug spray we were able to borrow!
Had rock salt prime rib.... wonderful! staff was great from hostess to server! Friendly place! Will definitely be back! Nice to sit by the water!
It’s a fun place with great ambiance, however; management needs to think about how to handle parties who linger too long when outside seating is limited. Our party of 6 had reservations at 7:00pm and we requested to eat outside. The restaurant had one outside table that could accommodate six people and a party had been eating there since 5:00 or 5:30. An hour after our reservation time, that party was still seated, now 2.5 to 3 hours, and we were told we just had to wait until they were ready to leave. We opted to be seated in the more casual beach club atmosphere around 8:15, an hour and fifteen minutes after our reservation time. The restaurant doesn’t seem to have a plan to deter mosquitos as they were swarming around us. Several in our party thought their meals were good. It’s too bad the long wait and mosquitos were a distraction from the food.
Always like Lindy's for many reasons-- walk to it, food, ambiance, people, service. I think the menu could be a little more varied especially with seafood. How about more shrimp dishes, and lake fish-- perch, bluegill, walley.
