Little Frenchie

Dinner was great. The problem was that the restaurant apparently had forgotten that they were continuing to accept reservations thru open table. When we arrived we were told there were no tables. They were surprised that I had a reservation. At first they refused to believe that anyone could have a reservation in spite of me showing them the confirmation on my phone. Then they said because open table is a third party reservation system it is not the fault of the restaurant. After all this denial of responsibility they finally apologized and said they would figure things out as as soon as possible, which is all they needed to do from the get go. A table opened up almost immediately so in the end we had to wait no time but they could have diffused the situation by handling it differently.

New place for us. Traditional menu with good wine-by-the-glass list, although the reds could be a bit more varied: 2 cabernets is two too many! More French! Looking forward to sitting outside again in the evening.

Breakfast: this is a French Bistro almost like one in Paris; highly recommended!

Dinner: a bit of a disappointment after breakfast visits... We were seated, then no utensils or napkins... even after appetizer was served. Table wobbly... The cassoulet was uninspired; the ingredients were there but not the integration or soul. Quel dommage!

We really enjoyed Little Frenchie. Of course we were going to try the escargot. I was a little disappointed it wasn't plated as I've always seen it is. Meaning in the shells and sides of toast that you see on the yelp page. But they were just on the plate with little puff pastries. They weren't bad at all but just a bit too buttery for the hubby. I ordered the beef bourguignon and that was tasty however I would've liked to add a little salt. Hubby ordered the chicken and said it was good but a little dry. We were seated for at least 10 or so minutes until our waiter actually came over but that didn't bother us. We just enjoyed the weather on the patio. Overall we do recommend the restaurant and experience it offers.

They have expanded outdoor seating to maintain social distancing inside as well as outside. The quiche and the onion soup are always delightful. The special of the day was Lump Crab Benedict. A perfect balance between all the ingredients. Last but not least they have not cut back on service. All of them make sure your beverages of choice are always full and check often enough to make sure you are pleased.

We were here last year for happy hour and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We returned this year and enjoyed ourselves just as before. Great wines paired with great foods equals great times.

Took my sis and brother in law. We had a patio table. Little Frenchies never disappoints. They were wowed. The quiche and frenchie dips. Yummy! Cheerful and attentive staff. It is a ten in our book!

I absolutely love coming here and I’m so happy they have opened back up with everything going on. I also miss eating at little cafes in Paris so this place gives you a little bit of that feel. This place is also perfect for a romantic little bite with my husband or a brunch date with my girls. Their staff is also phenomenal and give great recommendations on food and alcohol pairings.

Where to start , Great wine selection, waiter helped us to choose several types of cheese for our cheese platter, all excellent, there were six of us and ordered a variety of dinners everyone enjoyed their choice. Great service. Loved the quiche and the chocolate torte dessert.

This is a gem that has been open for less than a year. Good quality food prepared and plated well. We began with a salmon tartare light and tasty. This was followed by moules mariniere made more in the Belgian style with pommes frites, a mayonnaise dipping sauce and with a more creamy broth than the versions one finds in France. We concluded with a platter of three French cheeses which were excellent. With a bottle of Sancerre we were simply delighted with this new find for us. We'll be back!

The choice of food for a French restaurant at dinner time was poor. Salmon wasn’t poached, but seared and then tossed in the oven. This process can dry out a very delicate fish like salmon. The salad dressing was to vinegary. Will definitely not patronize this restaurant again. If you like hamburgers with cheese that’s been melted in a small skillet and then poured over your hamburger patty, then this place is for you.

My wife and I love coming to Little Frenchie- we bring all of our family and friends. The dog friendly atmosphere (outside) only adds to the many reasons we choose to make the drive here most weekends.

Andres is the best!!!! The food was amazing and we were able to stay at our table even after it had officially closed. Can’t get more European than that. Thank you!

Good service. Cheese plate that we ordered as an appetizer was excellent. Main courses were average, at best. Sole was not hot. Frenchie Dip was soggy and the frites were undercooked and soggy.

Great to have a fine dining experience back in the old Rhinoceros spot in Coronado. We thoroughly enjoyed our two experiences there during Valentine's week. Our Valentine's dinner left a little to be desired but overall I would recommend the place for anyone wanting good food. The Grand Marnier souflee, served the first night was outstanding.

Very good food. Tasty, cooked perfectly. Not cheap but worth it. $100 for two, 2 appetizers from Happy Hour menu, 4 drinks, 1 normal main (Salmon, delicious) and 1 Happy Hour entree. Friendly staff. Arrived early on weekday so was able to change seating location from outside (cold) to inside. Thank you.

We mostly liked Little Frenchie. The beet salad was outstanding, and plenty to share. We both had the moule frite with mixed results. My husbands fries were cold and limp, while mine were hot and crisp. His mussels were perfect, and I had several that didn't open and a couple that didn't taste fresh. Our waitress recommended a bottle of Sancerre wine, and it was lovely. We'll give it another try, but had expected to be blown away.

Terrible. They ran out of eggs. Food took more than 40min to arrive - it was cold and stale. Why bring out food that is not fit to serve?
And I was giving this place a second chance after a sub-par experience before.
