I arrived and could not sit due to the pandemic. They were still helpful and guided me to placing my order through the phone and prepared it right away and delivered it to my vehicle door. Great food! Great service!

Food was great, we dinned in outside seating which was cool. The only issue was that we made reservation but still had to wait 30 min table the guest before us was celebrating bday.

We absolutely loved our experience! I discovered this restaurant after seeing it on Instagram and I’m so glad that we chose to go there for brunch today. Although they were sold out of many of the items we wanted to try, the Freddy’s Choice and catfish were phenomenal. We definitely will be returning again.

LizzyJ is the most comfortable atmosphere with excellent service while experiencing the most explosive flavors. I will continue to visit at least once a month even though I have been there every other week

Things couldn't have been better! Staff was very friendly, Lizzy J even came out to talk to us. Food is oh so good, you won't be disappointed.

It was amazing! The food was great very flavorful the staff was on point with any questions. Love that I could order and pay at the table! The teas and lemonades were great... went there on Saturday came back on Sunday... French toast, Freddy favorite, one of the benny’s, CATFISH AND GRITS!!! That chili oil sets it off!!! Shrimp and grits everything was great. Pictures does it no justice!!

Lizzy J Cafe was outstanding. From the service to the food and everything in between, we had an amazing meal and experience. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going there again soon.

Best crab cakes I have had in Chicago. Hands down. The food tastes homemade and the people are just good folk! Chef Jamie is a warm person and I’m totally rooting for her success. Definitely coming back and bringing friends.

The food and ambiance at Lizzy J is second to none. Every bite that you take makes you feel Ike the chef made that meal with you specifically... in mind!

Let me start by saying that the food was delicious!!! Service was very good and the staff was attentive. The only downside was it took a while to get our food so patience must be exercised. The server apologized for the wait and offered us something to hold us over. They did run out of one of our dishes that we ordered which was disappointing. The owner cane out to personally apologize and comped the meal. This is the level of service that I wish others restaurants should strive because she indicated that it was important to her that we enjoyed the whole experience not just the food! I will definitely be going back for the shrimp and grits!!

We have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed by any aspect of our dining experience. The hardest part is deciding whether to order the same item as last time (that I have been dreaming about ever since) or to branch out and try something new. The owners and staff are warm and friendly and the ambiance is cozy and fun! Highly recommend.

Lizzy J's is top notch in terms of service and a great, southern, brunch menu. The shrimp and grits was terrific, and the biscuits and jam were divine. New favorite spot in the neighborhood.

It was a nice laid back atmosphere. Food was amazing as usual. I will definitely come back again. My friends also enjoyed the experience.

Very very long wait even with a reservation . Food was amazing though.

This past Saturday, we made reservations for 1:15 pm and arrived at 1:10 pm. We weren’t seated until 2:30 pm... when we were seated, we ordered food and sat at our table hungry for 45 min. Only 1 person was in the kitchen cooking. The host kept telling us our food was next up, but that was impossible because 3 tables that sat before us hadn’t gotten their food. So we spent close to 3 hours wasted on a Saturday to end up leaving without eating. Very disappointing, will not be returning there.

This place is amazing fresh food, great staff and a great owner going back this weekend!!

Everything was lovely, the servers were super friendly and Lizzy is so sweet. The food was so amazing that my sister and I had to come back the next day. With them having half portions we were able to eat most of the food on the menu. Everything we ate was amazing. Definitely my new favorite place to brunch in Chicago, will come back again whenever I’m in town.

Delicious food here, and great service. Simple menu where everything is done perfect. Cozy environment and delicious coffee and tea (loose leaf!) to boot! Definitely going back here.
