A “hidden gem” right in front of you. If you have driven by the llama every day and thought, “it looks tiny”. You are right. There are only 9 tables. What the restaurant lacks in size, it undoubtedly shines in service and culinary fare. You can be as adventurous as you’d like to be when it comes to the Peruvian cuisine. Serving sizes are generous and the prices are reasonable for the quality and taste. We spent around $100 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, a dessert, and a couple of drinks. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation.
This is a classic case, don’t judge a book by it’s cover, even the restrooms are located on the outside. However the food is presented very well and delicious, the service could not have been better, they even changed your silverware between courses (something of a rarity in today’s world) , bravo to this place, only thing missing to earn 6 stars would be table cloth and background music. Highly recommend for any occasion
Food and service were too notch. Definitely a must on our next visit to the area.
I found this restaurant on the internet & was interested by their menu. The restaurant itself was humble however the service & the food were excellent. Very unique food that is not usually seen in your typical Peruvian restaurant. We enjoyed our waiter’s explanations for each course. The presentation of each dish was at the same level as a fine dining restaurant. Overall, we had a great experience & would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food was spectacular and very authentic; their enthusiastic service really made for a superb evening out!
If you are looking for a dining experience that will take you somewhere else, look no further! I was blown away by this meal!
One of the best dinners we ever had! Can’t wait to be back :)
Excelente food and service. Not too many choices, but they make what they got 100%.
First time eating here. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff was very friendly. Our waiter was happy to answer all questions and explained everything. We will definitely be back.
Literally one of the best meals I've ever had. And I travel alot throughout the US and abroad. The creativity of the chef is outstanding...from presentation to blend of flavor to texture. If you're a foodie like I am, you will love this place. All items, including drinks, were outstanding. I'll be back when I visit St. Augustine again. Kudos to Llama!!!
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever ate at. Its really a must go place and will make me go back to St Augustine just for this dinner again
Excellent food and service!! Really enjoyed the Corvina and the pulps ceviche!
The food and service is one of the best in St Augustine
One of our favorite places to eat in St Augustine. Menu is always changing but the great experience is always the best !
Best restaurant in St. Augustine!! Best Peruvian food in the U.S
We have been to Llama before and I always fear that going back will not live up to our first wonderful experience. Luckily, this was not the case. I don’t know which is better, the way the food looks or the way it tastes. I had the pulpo again and the pork belly; both were wonderful. My wife had the Ceviche Lima and the fish cooked in plantain leaves; she loved it! We shared the custard with spun sugar for dessert. Service was great and informative. Get reservations! The place is small and the night we were there it was fully booked for the evening. This is our must-go place when we visit St. Augustine.
Small intimate restaurant with great food and service. Would definitely go back!
We were greeted warmly and immediately seated. I ordered the cerviche and enjoyed it so much ordered another to share. The flower bomb cocktail was unique and delicious. Everyone was impressed with their entrees. We all agreed the Llama provided an enjoyable dining experience. Definitely will visit this restaurant again
Love this place!!!!
Christmas weekend with our adult children
Excellent. This place is in the top 5 restaurants in St Augustine. We love it and recommend it to everyone. Do not miss eating here, small quaint and excellent authentic dishes.
The ceviche was the best...we had the Lima and the mango. Yum! So great!
Love eating at Llamas when In St. Augustine. Impeccable service with second to none in unique food experience. One of the top restaurants I have been too in the US. I highly recommend!
First time here on “must try” recommendation from a friend. Llama exceeded all expectations! The food is a departure from the everyday day “normal” and was a delightful experience of new flavors. Will definitely return!
Everything we ate was amazing and authentic. Will defnitely eat here again the next time we visit St. Augustine.
Outstanding food. If you are adventurous and want to try something different, this is the place for you. Fine dining with a Peruvian twist. Everything we ate was outstanding. The staff was attentive and very helpful in assisting us to make our menu choices. We plan on returning whenever we are in the St. Augustine area.
Visited for the first time to celebrate my husbands. The place is very intimate and quaint. Lovely Staff. Great food presentation. Would visit again and recommend.
My wife and I have been waiting for months to make reservation and get in here to eat. You definitely need to make a reservation several days in advance, and for the weekend a week or two. We both field it was well worth the wait. Is a very small and quaint restaurant, but the ambience and service was amazing. The food was outstanding. We were very glad we were able to finally eat there and will definitely be going back with family and friends.
Absolutely amazing food and great experience. Would highly recommend getting a taste of the delicious Peruvian cuisine.
The Ceviche is wonderful. Also the roasted corn kernels make a great way to wait for your meal.
Still the best restaurant in the world!
The restaurant is very small and cozy, the food was amazing, such great flavors. We can’t wait to go back. Also very reasonable prices considering the quality.
Second time dining at LLAMA. Enjoyed every minute of it!
Heard a lot of positive reviews about the place so we had to go check out. It’s a quaint place. Food was flavorful but just ok. Ordered a mixed drink, appetizer and entree. It wasn’t anything special. Probably won’t be returning back. Unless you love the cuisine, it’s a one time experience kind of place. It’s a bit overpriced for what they offer.
If you are looking for an intimate Peruvian inspired dining experience, I highly recommend Llama Restaurant. We had seen the chef on Cooking Channel’s “Man Food and Fire”, and wanted to experience the type of foods he had prepared. He did not disappoint. The food was all delicious and presented in a beautiful way. The service was very attentive and helpful. We shall definitely be back for more.
If I could give more stars, I would. The food was absolutely excellent. We had two appetizers...the Pulpo which was octopus carpaccio and the Ceviche Nikkei which was salmon...both were outstanding. My husband had the Mar Y Tierra which was an awesome surf and turf and I had the Ceviche Clasico. Best meal we had in St. Augustine!
Everything we had was fantastic and beautifully prepared, the beef hearts were to die for. Servers were knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Perfect meal!
Small, quaint and authentic. Great Peruvian food with a modern twist. I hope they obtain a liquor license soon but a good selection of wine available.
Excellent service and delicious meal. Quiet evening with the always must have Ceviche and Pork Belly. Excellent wine pairing and cocktails from the chef.
