   Ristorante a due passi dal Duomo, locale molto accogliente. Ottima qualità prezzo, i piatti curati nel dettaglio. Il servizio eccellente, il cameriere ci ha aiutati nella scelta di piatti, ci siamo sentiti coccolati. Nonostante il ristorante pieno, non abbiamo subito dei ritardi. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

   Good restaurant overall. Quaint and cute. Service was okay; they seemed understaffed. One dish we ordered had a bolognese sauce on top of the steak. The steak was excellent and very tender. I was happy overall.

   What a find! Thanks to Open Table. Our family of 6 throughly enjoyed the food and ambience. The service was super friendly and top notch; the owners were so welcoming and generous. The Bistecca Alla Fiorentina was a melt in your mouth, holy moly experience. Seriously. When you are in Florence you definitely should stop by. You won't regret it.

   We loved this restaurant. The pasta, bread, salads, olive oil, and wine, were outstanding. Friendly and helpful service, and convenient location near the Duomo. Highly recommended.

    The food is amazing and the service is really good. They explain the dishes and the difference between the kind of pasta; recommended good wines, giving explanation about each one and paring with the food we choose. They did everything to pleasure us and to make our visit special. Frederick was very nice and kind all the time. They really know how to treat a guest and the food was delicious!!

    So so so good. Everything we had was delicious. The best plate was the steak with truffles. You can tell the chef loves fresh foods and all dishes are carefully and lovingly made. Joseph was a great server as well, making us welcome. We had a great time!

    Everything was fantastic. One of the best steak meals I have had and I’ve had some good ones, from Manny’s in Minneapolis, a few Eddie V’s and Cap Grille etc. service was great and I you cannot beat the value for the quality. Perfetto!

    We returned for the second time in three days because this place is just fabulous. "Federico" was our server and we believe he is the manager as well, if not the owner. He guided us through the menu and gave us excellent recommendations as well as service. We encouraged him to open locations in the U.S.!! If you are in Florence, you must go to Lo Scudo. During our two weeks in Italy, our best two meals were there---and ALL our meals in Italy were good ones!

    Wow, this was probably our best meal during our 11 and counting days in Italy. Chris (our server) took such good care of us, making special recommendations. The ravioli with pork sausage and white truffles was simply out of this world! The appetizer of pecorino cheese and cured meats with thyme honey also served with warm pizza bread was a great start to the experience. We normally never return to the same restaurant in order to try new places, but we'll be back at Lo Scudo this evening for one more exquisite meal.

    The food was incredible! The waiter was patient with us. We ordered a caesar salad, pasta with truffle, and a pizza with mascarpone cheese. The pizza and pasta were to die for!! The pizza crust was not too thick or too thin…it had some prosciutto, tomatoes, and arugula. The homemade pasta tasted fresh and the truffle sauce gave it the right amount of flavor. We highly recommend this place.

    Love love love! Me and two friends came here while visiting Florence and we were so glad we did, this may have been the best food we had on our entire trip! We came here starving and ordered a lot and I’m so happy we did because it was all so good. I recommend the melanzane alla parmigiana and the diavolo pizza. The staff was also amazing and made our night so great! Thanks so much!

    We followed the recommendation of another reviewer and weren’t disappointed. The server was friendly and spoke very good English. Actually as it turns out he spoke a few languages and by the speed of his speech it was also very good. We had gnocchi, pasta and pizza, all was delicious! The location is easy to find. The Restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms.
