Going there for many years. Menu has changed. Service and view great. Food was just okay. Cheesecake was terrible.

Great food and server!

Lobster Shanty has been a stable and consistent restaurant for a number of years, and it continues to do the same. The food and service were very good, and the atmosphere is comforting and relaxing.

My wife and I went on Sat 2/15 for Valentine’s Day. I was very disappointed with my meal for the first time. The lobster tail and shrimp were dry as a bone. We’ve been there many, many times before and have always been extremely satisfied. Don't know what happened but we’ll have to think twice about going back.

Visited for Valentines Day our server was amazing and so attentive. Food was great. Not to mention the great view of the water from your seat

Best food around we travel 60 miles each way and always worth the ride.we also live at the shore and pass countless restaurants that couldn't hold a candle to the shanty..cheers

Worst experience...waited at least ten minutes before server first came to the table...another 10 minutes to get drinks....server seemed like she couldn’t care less...ordered one of the specials which was anything but special...won’t be going back again

We enjoyed our meal very much and our server was so very nice and accommodating. The only thing I would say is that we did not know at first to go to the other building, because we thought is was just a banquet place. We went to Warfside first, but that was not a big deal they told us to go next door. We will definately be back. Thank you

Great food , great service , parking was a little tight

Wonderful experience for my family. Drove an hour from Princeton just to visit this family favorite again. Seafood was amazing—shrimp, mussels, clams were so fresh that we were left smiling as we drove back to Princeton.

Lobster Shanty is our favorite restaurant in Point Pleasant. We ordered the Scallops special - something my husband didnt have in a long time and they were served on a shell and perfect! Surprised no Lobster on the Restaurant Week menu. Key Lime pie is our favorite here.

Excellent service and food

Gabby our server is the best and every part of the experience was exceptional. Don't change a thing we will be back. This will be our new haunt.

First of all the music was horrible. I work all week and want to speak to my dinner companion
and I am hearing blaring electric guitar. How about trying smooth jazz, chill music.
Second....what made the old Lobster Shanty good is all gone. No more table service, bananas foster.
The decor is horrible. I guess this is a banquet hall primarily now...because the restaurant was empty.

There was a wedding going on main ball room with the music being very loud . I would avoid this restaurant if there is a wedding in progress. Food was only fair

Great service, delicious meal!

Was not happy with the service . Our waitress was super old and she kept forgetting things and another waitress got our drinks. Not very classy at all the only thing that was great was the view . Your food is not at all top notched wish I had a better experience with my wife.

The food is delicious & our server, Emily, was wonderful, Attentive and friendly. Receptionist honored my request for a table by the window. This was our second time there and will continue to go back.

Lobster was over cooked but the corn was good. Had to keep asking the waitress for bread. It was just OK

Friday evening date night. Looking forward to dinner on the water. Menu choices made it tough to decide. Seafood sampler platters were very tasty!

We had a wonderful experience at the Lobster Shanty. I cannot say enough great things about it. Our server was fabulous, food was amazing, and some beautiful views. It was a great way to close out the summer for us!

Has not let us down. Food, service and atmosphere were super. Our server Ryan was pleasant and on top of things.

Fantastic views, service, and food! The other customers were a little annoying, to no fault of the restaurant. A definite must for dinner whenever we hit the Jersey shore.

Amazing meal!

Met with childhood friends we had not seen in years. They came from out of state and we were concerned as where we could go for a quiet dinner where we could enjoy their company. We live locally and rarely go out during the summer months because of the hectic vacationers. We found tonight to be pleasant much to our surprise and the food excellent as usual. The service was superior. We were glad to be able to make a reservation too.

Understaffed, food was adequate. My wife enjoyed her lobster dish, my breaded shrimp was ok, nothing to rave about. Seemed to cater more towards seniors and families.

Scallops and Ahi Tuna perfectly prepared. Beautiful view.

We were in the mood for lobster & got delicious lobster dinners here for sure! And our server, Linda, was wonderful too.
Requested a window seat on my reservation & we were accommodated by the restaurant. Will definitely go back there!

Two friends and I enjoyed our dinner this evening they both had lobsters and I had twin lobster tails we were all very pleased with our meal. The waitress was extremely accommodating and my friends were very pleasantly surprised they had not been there before.

We drove around looking for parking and then realized there was free valet parking. Our request for a table by the water was honored. Our waitress was quite attentive and the food was delicious.

2 lb Lobster and King Crab dinners were excellent. Oysters and Caprese salad as well. Bananas foster to end the meal. Great table by the window in the water.
Only drawback was the service was lacking. Very slow and no one bussed the table fron apps to entree.
All In All we wrote it off but would have been 5 stars if the service acceptable.

As always the food was delicious, & Maddie was a terrific server. Beautiful day and we had a beautiful view!!
