We had a great time and the food was excellent - appetizers and main course as well as the giant piece of baklava I had to finish off the meal. That being said I thought it was very pricey compared to some other very good Greek restaurants in the area - well, it is Princeton!
Great food !
Food was great, service was great however very close quarters and extremely loud. Would definitely go back!
Great food, very pleasant service, good value. Definitely worth a try!
Amazing food and wonderful service, great atmosphere!
It was excellent overall!
The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful and the service is excellent. The food, unfortunately, was hit or miss. The fish of the day was really good but everything else was mediocre. The grill platter was impressive when it arrived but overall too oily and the potatoes did not even look freshly cooked.
As always, the food and service were outstanding!
Food and service are great!
Loved it. LOVED IT!! Incredible food, even better people. First rate all the way around.
This dinner was as all other previous visits to Local Greek - fantastic & authentic Greek gastronomy - BRAVO to Tony, Stratos & the entire crew!!!
Very good food, but the tables are a bit too close and crowded.
The food was amazing! We were there for Valentine's day and had a good time. We found our waiter a little pretentious because we aren't Greek, but everyone else was friendly.
Great food, excellent choices and quick turnaround
What a delightful restaurant experience! Absolutely delicious food! We went for lunch and service was fast but we weren't rushed. Next time we go, and there will definitely be a next time, we will save room for dessert!
This is a hidden little gem not only in Princeton, but also in Mercer County. The food is fresh and traditional. Can always count on an enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend.
Overall the food was tasty, there was a pricy lamb dish they was dry and lacked good flavor. The vegetarian stuffed eggplant was outstanding!
We came before 6 and were in a quiet corner, but the noise level picked up considerably by 7:30.
Service was speedy and byob a bonus
Very disappointed as I have heard so many great reviews about this place. Food was not very good, we had some meze options which were bland and not very appetizing. Shared a delicious dessert and this was the best part. The tables are too close together and accoustically the noise levels prevent a decent conversation. Combined with smoke from the kitchen making my eyes sting I couldn't wait to leave.
I LOVED Local Greek! The food was so fresh and delicious! One of my daughters is vegan and the other is gluten free. I’m vegetarian and my husband is a carnivore. There were options for all of us which is rare. Loved the atmosphere and we will definitely be back!
Celebrated my husbands birthday with the family. For all of us it was the first time although we have tried the sister cafe on Nassau st.
Appetizers were delicious! The octopus was done right. The babaganoush, tatziki were better than the other places in the area. Lamb dishes were excellent. Loved the authentic homemade pastitsio. Lemon chicken soup was very comforting. Service was excellent. Noise died down after other guests left. We shall return.
A very nice new place in Princeton. Food and service are good, the decor is simple and very nice.
I made a reservation for brunch with my bridesmaids here. We had such a great time! The food was great! The majority of us ordered the super greek and shared an order of loukoumades. The bacon was tad overdone and the potatoes were a bit salty. The loukoumades (greek donuts) were heaven! Loved the light honey drizzle over them and the added texture of the crushed walnuts. I liked the interior, white subway tiles, whitewashed walls, and wooden furniture. It can get a bit crowded because the tables are pretty close together which can make it hard to get out from your table sometimes. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here! Would definitely come back again.
Appetizers ok....had the gigantes and also the loukaniko. For main courses, I had the lamb souvlaki which was horribly overcooked. I had asked the waiter if I could have it done medium rare and he said they only cooked it one way.....which ended up being very dry and, almost, inedible My husband had the Veggie Papoutsakia which the waiter had suggested. My husband didn't eat most of it because it had a weird flavor. Expensive meal for food that was of poor caliber. Very noisy place. Parking is a challenge. They have a parking lot but it is very small....maybe 6 or 7 cars. You would have to be very lucky to get a spot. You would have to get really lucky to get street parking. Would not recommend.
The food was very good; however just a tad salty in my opinion, but very good nonetheless. The grape leaves were delicious and warm to boot! Service was outstanding.
Good food and service, but a bit crowded with the number of tables... and too noisy to have a private conversation as you had to yell across a rather large table for the other guest to hear you. Not a good date place, but a place for good food.
The food at Local Greek is quite good however the service we received on Saturday was a little too fast for my liking. Our entrees were served before we were even half way through our appetizers which we were really enjoying but then had to rush to prevent our entrees from getting cold. Overall dining here is a fun experience but not the place to come if you want quite conversation in a relaxed atmosphere.
It was a disappointing experience. The spinach pie was dry (it tasted and looked like it was reheated many times before it was served) and the dough almost burnt. The side Greek salad was bland and not at all tasting “Greek”! Not going back!
Great food and service!
Awesome menu, lot of variety and very fresh.
Nice protein portions, key for me.
We (three of us) have been there several times. This time did not disappoint. All our dishes (appetizers, entrees, and dessert) were delicious. They were freshly prepared of the highest quality ingredients. We just loved it, again!
really solid service and a nice menu with variety of options. BYOB as well which I personally prefer.
we will be back
Great food & service!
Loved this place and it was perfect for our group of 11 people. The only thing we needed was a Vegan dish choice on the menu, and I would have rated it even better.
Thanks so much.
It’s such good food but unfortunately the terrible acoustics make the restaurant SO SO loud that it’s enough to make me think about ever coming back... it’s SO loud!! People were literally screaming at their dinner partners
Excellent food and service, highly recommended. I had the Lamb Mitsos and it was tremendous, very flavorful.
Good food, great portions and authentic Greek food for an American palate. Extensive menu, so looking forward to returning when we are really hungry, or with a large party so we can mix and match multiple dishes... service was prompt, but well paced for a busy FRI evening.
Went with friends for my birthday. We got the mixed grill for 4 and it was way too much food. Too many potatoes and kind of dry. It was disappointing and expensive. May go back and try something else.
Very good food and service; we arrived early and were seated early. Portions were a good size; I had the beef gyro with Greek fries which worked out well.
It was lunch. Two of the party were very late, however, there was no fuss about that. Everything was great. It is my husband’s favorite restaurant.
Great little restaurant off the beaten path in Princeton. The food was excellent as was the service! This is not a large restaurant so seating is a little tight. We will definitely return!
