Wonderful as always.
Expensive! But the food is very good and so is the service. Quaint place. When in CA again, we’ll be back! Thank you.
Hands down best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. Fantastic Italian wine selection and authentic meals. Feels as if you were transported to an Italian bistro while never leaving Venice. Their classic Roman Italian dish 'Cacio e Pepe' is fantastic! For desert order the Bomboloni.
Great food. Quiet. Good ambience!
Love this place!! Cozy, a little sexy, and the food is always amazing.
Very enjoyable! Friendly atmosphere. The waiter was a little rude once he learned we were sharing our meal.
Tasty, intimate, and classy without trying too hard.
Great! Excellent food and wonderfully quiet!!!!!! A real treat to be able to have a conversation without screaming at each other.
A perfect dining experience from start to finish!
If you are in MDR , go here for Italian food and , especially their wine selection . It's better than most .
Great Valentine’s Day dinner.
Food is exceptional. Homemade pasta is a must. Great selection of Barolo wines.
The service the hostess and food superb it’s a local restaurant that feels like your out on vacation.
I have eaten at Locanda Positano about half a dozen times. Usually the food is fine, the ambience cozy, the service personal, and the prices fair.
The ambience was fine, though on a Sunday the place was almost empty (two other tables occupied). The calamari was heavy, the sole was good, but the linguini with mussels and shrimp was over cooked and drenched in a heavy, clingy sauce. A first class place does not drown its seafood in sauce. The service (by the owner--I assume he is an owner) was annoying: Three times he asked us if we were ready to order despite our holding the menus open, the universal sign that one is not ready. I said that we will call when we are ready and he disappeared...well, not for that long, but longer than he should have been non-responsive.
Finally, the prices are more what I would expect in an over-priced Beverly Hills or Brentwood place.
WE had the three dishes above plus a corkage charge and the bill approached $180.
Thumbs up to this small restaurant on Lincoln, an unlikely location. The food and service were top notch. If it weren't for the fact that it is small and somewhat crowded, and very noisy, I would give it a 5 star rating. Those aren't things you can fix. So GO! Try the Super Tuscon red wine, and the wild boar pasta at the top of the pasta list - excellent and outstanding. Worth the trip and money!
Nice biscotti and Vin santo to end the pleasant meal.
Will definitely return.
Only complaint is the physical & table space is VERY small.
Nice intimate setting with good food. Driven past many times & did not notice it. Now on the go-to list.
A quaint and delicious spot in Marina del Rey. It is unassuming, but the food is incredible! Service was top notch, great wine list. A true authentic Italian experience.
Romantic little hidden gem with amazing Italian food & wine!
Way to noisy. Made for a very unpleasant meal
Completely amazing! my favorite italian restaurant in the area hands down!
We ate here on Christmas Eve and were scheduled for a 730 seating. We were able to come in a little bit earlier and the staff and management were incredibly helpful and accommodating even though we wanted to come early. It’s a small and lovely spot with a very authentic experience and excellent food.
Great ambiance and food! Loved the calamari. We will definitely be back! Thank you!
My go to place.. pasta is great
Love it here. Food just didn’t seem as fresh as the last time. But overall love the feel of it. I had branzino it just seemed a little wet. Butrata and antipasto plate were delicious
Small restaurant with 'easy on the eyes vibe'. Been a few times and never disappointed.
Best part is, no loud music ruining your conversation!!
A terrific evening with great food and service.
It was my husband and his twin sister's birthday. We wanted to go to someplace new and special for her and we hit the jackpot. Terrific meal, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. This is a true gem.
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing! There is a reason this place is still standing after so many years. Delicious food. Great wine. Fabulous service.
The food was very good except for the dessert.
We unfortunately chose the tiramisu, it seemed stale.
The service was not very good, when we came in there was only 1 other couple there.
The help was busy talking to each other and paid very little attention to us.
This was true the whole 2 hours we were there.
They were more interested in their conversations than us, there were 3 in the corner the whole time.
Beautiful romantic space and amazing food.
