For twenty years now, Chef Saldana has been sharing the art of fine Mexican cuisine with the Bay Area. His cuisine is inspired by the rich, French-influenced dishes of Puebla and the fiery rusticity of Jalisco, and carries with it the legacy of family dinners, handmade with love by his parents Mama Luisa and Don Pedro.

Good buffet brunch. Wait staff is not particularly attentive to diners. They are busy mopping, wiping, etc. they should dedicate one person to the mopping and wiping and other staff to waiting tables and bringing beverages. Ceramic water container was on the table, but no drink ware. Took ages to get a $9 sangria, which was not flavorful or worth the price. Better bet to go with a beer. The buffet option is a great way to try the several moles available (6 or 7), BUT each crock of mole had hardly any meat (chicken) in it. For a $17 buffet, they could have chicken available separately to go with sauce, they do have carnitas available to go with the moles though the carnitas are extremely salty. They do brisk business, but could benefit from a restaurant consultant.

Our family party of 11 went to celebrate Tata's 70th birthday. It was our first time and we ordered the brunch. They had 11 moles (all made with chicken) and among all of us, we tried them all! All of them got a 5 star rating! They're pozole and menudo we're also very tasty although we like more grano in our menudo. They kids menu has a good selection although our kids ate from the brunch bar but we were only charged for kids plates. We definitely plan to return again, next time ordering from the menu now that we know what moles we liked best! The staff was very attentive and accommodating! Highly recommended!

The 7 moles are well-prepared and tasty. You won't find (all of) them elsewhere. Try beef enchiladas w poblano mole if you think one beef enchilada is like another. The 4-mole sampler is a good intro. House-made tortillas. Taco Tuesday. A loud room, and the rice has been gooey, overcooked, but for the rest of it — great. We go back often.

My friend met at the Emeryville location of Los Moles on a Friday night. We each had margaritas and the Chile en Nogada which I don't see at a typical Mexican restaurant. The dish didn't disappoint! The presentation was beautiful and the waiter was quite attentive. When I mentioned that the San Rafael location offered coffee flan, he apologetically said it was not available on this dinner menu. However, after our meal he surprised us with little cups of the coffee flan and explained that they are only offered for the brunch. OMG...the coffee fan was heavenly! I will definitely go back to Los Moles, and I hope that the coffee flan is added to the menu!

Great authentic Mexican food. My husband who loves Mexican food had the buffet and loved it. The rest of us ordered from the menu and the food was tasty and great. We will be back.
