   Some of the food was great like the bone marrow appetizer and the hamburger. However, there were some real misses like chunks of fat on the lamb and the overcooked creme brulee. The waitress was also absentee for much of the meal. The experience did not live up to expectations.

   It was a very expensive meal for a very bad food. Shocking!! 279$ for a basic meal. Fish and chips! And a few other dishes. Worst fish and chips of my life. Frozen fries. The next night I did proper research and found Chez Boulay And incredible restaurant. On Micheline guide and it was 170-$ however we had no wine. The food was simply amazing.

    The front desk clerk couldn't find my reservation and told me that the restaurant didn't do business with Open Table for reservations... You read that right. Yes sir. When paying the bill, the restaurant therefore refused the Open Table dining check reward. For the rest, very ordinary restaurant, correct food without more. The resto's website is outdated, which includes an outdated menu. The dish I wanted and the wine I wanted (website menu) were not available. The waiter didn't seem to care. Very ordinary lunch service, not proactive for two cents. Like: I have to serve you because you're there... In short, 1 out of 5 as a rating is even generous on my part. Go your way ! L'employé à l'accueil n'a pas trouvé ma réservation et il m'a dit que le restaurant ne faisait pas affaires avec Open Table pour les réservations... Vous avez bien lu. Lors du paiement de la facture, le restaurant a donc refusé le dining cheque reward Open Table. Pour le reste, resto très ordinaire, nourriture correcte sans plus. Le site web du resto n'est pas à jour, ce qui inclut un menu pas à jour. Le plat que je désirais et le vin que je voulais (menu du site web) n'étaient pas disponibles. Le serveur avait l'air de s'en foutre éperdument. Service le midi très ordinaire, pas proactif pour deux sous. Du genre: je suis obligé de vous servir puique vous êtes là... Bref, 1 sur 5 comme note est même généreux de ma part. Passez votre chemin !

    Some mix-up in the kitchen meant that our food took a really long time to arrive - which was problematic as we were dining with a toddler. Food was ok but not as exceptional as I'd expected from the reviews: a burger was quite overdone, side salads a little bland and wilted. The space is warm and charming.

    As soon as we entered Louise Taverne, and were greeted by the charming (and funny )host, we knew we'd found a great place. We sat at the bar, ordered cocktails and beer, fish and chips, boudin noir and boudins blanc, and were tres content. Highly recommended.

    We arrived early and were seated right away. The wine list is extensive and had a nice Greek wine i ordered. The catch of the day was fresh and very well prepared. Charcuterie board had regional cheeses, pate and meats. The food was prepared in an open kitchen and it was fun to watch your meal being made. Wait staff were understanding with our poor French. Overall the best meal we had in Wuebec city!

    Small menu, which can be a good thing. My wife ordered fish, I ordered duck, both were excellent. Our cocktails were properly made, including doing small special requests. Friendly and efficient staff.

    Dinner started off nicely with a good wine list and appetizers. Main courses however, were not good. Additionally, one of our party is gluten intolerant. She order the hamburger on the menu, but asked for no bun. She was told that the chef wouldn’t serve a hamburger without a bun.

    I think I went in the wrong night (being very polite). Booked at OpenTable, arrived on time… waited 5 min to have a kind waiter to see my family at the entrance. Ok … inside or outside? Outside… good. Then another waiter, french style. I made the mistake to change my order during when we were ordering and the tipical oh!! Lets start again (now in english and we were trying to be polite making all efforts to speak french) anyway but the better was to come. My son asked a steak tartar… and when it arrived came with a new kind of salad. He said was a paper and we could not believe (it was dark). We removed AND WAS a paper!!! Icalled the bored waiter and for our surprise instead of say I am sorry, we will give you another plate. He said it is normal!!! It does not kill!!!? It was a “mistake to forget the paper in your dish! Of course at the end he was looking very carefully for the tip. Sorry for the long text but I think I need to relate what happened with me and my family at this unpleasant place and hope noone have the same experience. This photo is the paper!

    The food is French and quite good. Steak frites were perfectly cooked and a special of Arctic char with mushrooms and and asparagus were sautéed then finished in a light gingery broth. An artichoke and hummus appetizer also was great. Nice wine list. Would definitely return. Hip bistro vibe.
