   The small plate concept is confusing when there are 3 dishes on what is termed a "small" plate for $15-$25. Then there are "entrees" in the same price range. It's hard to judge how much food there will be.

   The food was good. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We were seated in the bar area even though we had reservations. The acoustics were not good. It was hard to enjoy our conversations because the lady next to us was so loud and it bounces off of the walls🙄

   Food was ok for the price, atmosphere was wonderful and service was ok. Trendy vibe, just short of great. Server was nice and knowledgeable but a little slow. Menu was a bit limited (which is expected for Lou Vino).

   The experience overall was nice as usual with the exception of the chicken sandwich that a couple of us ordered. It was served with 2 tiny chicken strips that left a lot to be desired for a $15 sandwich. I've had this before and it was a nice piece of chicken but not this last time. The Brussel sprouts were fire as usual.

   I love this place. They changed their menu a little so there are more small plate options which is great to be able to sample different foods. I love the wine flights as well.

   Service was extremely slow. One of our starters did not get put in and dinner selections were delivered so far apart that we were completely finished when the last side came out. Also no check back to refill beverages until plates were being cleared. I’ve been here before and had brought someone for their time, definitely disappointing.

    As always these special pop-up dinners that are Gina Stipo’s - Ecco Cucinna signature of immersion into Italian foods from various parts of the country. The meals are a fun combination of foods and wines that bring to Louisville a little bit of Italy’s sun and sea. Always a treat to se her.     We attended the special event with Chef Gina Stipo on 3/7. Chef Gina is simply remarkable; the four courses were outstanding. She curated the courses from various regions in southern Italy and they were delicious and impeccably presented. If LouVino hosts any events featuring Chef Gina in the future, we will be there.

    This is our go to place on the East End. It never disappoints. I think most people know about the tots by now but we also love the seafood options. Between the scallops and the risotto add salmon I’m in heaven. The wine list is really the best I’ve seen in the city. We are always rewarded by trying their monthly wine specials. This place is a gem and even with the new ownership the quality is being maintained. Well done Lou vino.

    The food was excellent! The gnocchi was light and fluffy with a delicious sauce. The airplane chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the cookie dough beignets with crème anglaise were to die for! One of our favorite spots!

    We know they were understaffed, hostess and bartender did a great job working the room. Unfortunately, my pancake taco was miserable. There was a sparse amount of eggs/sausage/bacon on a dry pancake. Would have been so much better if there was actually a piece of bacon. The egg sandwich was better but feeling let down.

    The food was mostly good except for a couple issues. The beef tournedos were way overcooked and dry. My filet, while cooked ok, was a very small piece of meat for $50. It could not have been more than 4 ounces. The flavor was nice but would not order again.

    Excellent server. She was awesome! So excited about the nonalcoholic wine flight as we don’t drink alcohol. We loved it so much we got a second round and this will be a factor for us in coming back here for future date nights. We liked the Riesling and Bubbles wines best. Food was served in a timely manner and very good. We ordered small plates of risotto with scallops, fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy taco, beef rib taco, and tater tot bites. Scallops and tater tots were my favorite. We ordered the beignets with chocolate filling for dessert. We sat in the back room at a table for 2 in the middle. I would have preferred something along a wall to help with the noise and privacy but it was less noisy than the main dining area. Would recommend making reservations as we did during peak times. We will be back again.

    For those that park on the side of the restuarant, the entrance to the restaurant is cumbersome. Typically, customers step onto the curb and walk across the grass to enter the restaurant. A sidewalk would be beneficial in that area for convenience and to prevent falls. I watched an elderly couple stumble and almost fall while navigating the stepdown of the curb. We were seated at what I would classify as "picnic table-style" table. They have a long table that is 20+ feet long high top table with all chairs next to one another. Other guests were seated next to us and it made our dining experience awkward. We felt as if our personal space was encroached upon and didn't feel able to have a conversation with others seated so close to us. I always prefer a booth when I dine out. They do have booths available at the restaurant. During my next visit, I will request a booth and recommend doing so to other patrons. I think our server was also the bartender. This made for less than adequate service. There were multiple occasions in which we had long waits between being checked upon and had drinks refilled, etc. I understood that our server was busy and we were patient. It seemed like our server was too busy to truly give us the service we expected at the restaurant. It took a long time to receive the check so we could leave. I would recommend that the bartender stay behind the bar and have a server reserved for the dining area. Including a generous tip, expect to spend around $100 for a dining experience for two. Overall, our experience was good and would recommend this restaurant to others. Again, I would recommend a booth and to not sit near the bar area.

    Super cute atmosphere, nice selection of food, and amazing drink menu! I got the salmon on potatoes with brussel sprouts. My plate was completely clean when I was done, every bite of everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. We got some appetizers too, taking advantage of happy hour….Loaded baked potato tots, garlic truffle aioli fries, fried green tomatoes, mini charcuterie board. The tots were sinful and I’ll be craving those. The fries were fine, nothing overly special but crispy and cooked perfect. The fried green tomatoes were delicious! And the mini charcuterie board had a great little selection of items but the pepper jelly was the show stopper. Very good! We also tried the red and white sangria, both delicious, not super sweet and great flavor!

    Washington state wine tasting. We love Walla Walla wines. These wines were average, the presentation was boring, constantly interrupted by tablemates who were loud, obnoxious and appeared drunk. My husband and I were seated across from each other for some reason so could barely hear each other without yelling. Tried to salvage our date night by going to the bar for a glass of wine. $20 for a glass of Meiomi that I can get at Kroger for $16 a bottle? Were we in Manhattan? We left. Won’t be back.

    Food is fantastic, service was slow and annoying. The server messed up wines serving to wrong people with wrong info at a restaurant specializing in wine that’s a problem. Not sure if understaffed or just poor server. Tables are very close together making private conversations impossible. Food really is excellent.

    Have been wanting to go here for a long time and finally made it. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed. I had the most expensive item on the menu - the filet, with garlic smashed potatoes and asparagus. Steak was good, but not great (was a bit undercooked). Steak knife was dull. Smashed potatoes needed a lot of salt and the asparagus was undercooked. Gnocchi was also okay, but odd combination of ingredients and left us disappointed.

    Galetine’s bash…or not. My sister and I had a 5:00 reservation. We arrived right at 5:00 and went directly to the hostess stand. Two employees were standing there and neither one ever acknowledged us or made eye contact, so, I gave my name and we were seated. The restaurant was not busy but staff seemed very discombobulated and were still running around placing decorations and flowers on tables (we never got any). Our server came quickly and took drink orders. She came back rather quickly and dinner was ordered. Food took longer than it should have as it was still not busy but brussel sprouts were delicious! It was all downhill from there. My sisters tots were burnt, all my food was cold, scallops were sandy, green beans tasted frozen and our salmon had no glaze. It was also terribly overcooked. Throughout, our server was as attentive as she could be and very sweet but it seemed as though she was very overwhelmed. When the checks were brought a $20 credit was not present on either bill (fee to make reservation) and had I not noticed we would have been out an additional $40 for an already overpriced experience. Not to mention Louvino was kind enough to add 20% gratuity for us! The event felt very disorganized and poorly managed and I left very disappointed!

    Louivino has been one of our favorites date night spots for years now. Everything on the menu is delish but this time we decided to get the truffle frites and Brussels sprouts for appetizers and wow both amazing. For our entrees I got the Caesar salad with chicken and my husband got the fried chicken with mash potatoes and spinach casserole he said 9/10 both very solid. Our server was outstanding she really gave us a great experience and delivered everything in a timely matter.

    My two best friends and I went for a galentines dinner. We ended up just ordering off the normal menu because we preferred those options. Our server was fantastic and she was straight up with us about her recommendations. She was very helpful with deciding what to get.

    After sitting down it took quite a while for a server to check on us, almost long enough for us to get up and leave. After ordering a drink someone else brought us our drinks and apologized for the wait while quickly walking away. During service our server barely interacted and looking around the restaurant this seemed to be common. When the server was checking on us she was very rushed and only stopped by our table for 10-15 seconds at a time. I had the salmon and my wife had the pork chop. The food was excellent, the best salmon dish I have ever eaten. But the poor service will not have us visiting this location again. We were at the Douglass Hills location. It was also very loud. Be prepared for poor service if visiting this location.

    Food was delicious as always. Had the Brussel sprout salad which I alway get because it’s awesome. The salmon dish was perfect. Beignets were oh so yummy. Nice ambience and the service was excellent. I’ve never had a bad experience here.
