We made a reservation for tonight. We were seated and then we walked out after 10 minutes of not even being recognized that we sat down. We went to another establishment in the area and had exemplary service. We stopped by again and ask to speak with the manager to voice our concern over the lack of service. The hostess then told us that the manager was so busy in the kitchen since it was dinner rush that he didn't have time to talk with us. This is not the way to run customer service. The menu is very heavy on cocktails and appetizers and very little as far as dinner entrees. Because of this experience we will not be returning.
Food was great, service was great and it was a very unique fun atmosphere
Dan Dan dish was very disappointing and not tasteful. Service was very good!
Great food, great atmosphere, great cocktails! A must.
Lucky cricket used to be good. But they removed half the menu! All of the good stuff! :(
Really great food, personal favorite was the mushroom appetizer - it was amazing!! We were two couples who did the Valentine’s Day dinner, and we got to try a bunch of different things - crispy beef noodles was a crowd favorite, as well as spicy cucumbers and the egg rolls. Nothing was bad.
Had a Valentines Day dinner there. Server was very competent and they had a good deal for holiday. Signature drinks were good and my girlfriend especially liked the Tiki drink. It is worth the visit.
Valentine’s Day menu was very nice. Would have like more non-spicy choices. I like spicy, my valentine did not.
We had a wonderful time. The server was on point, had a lots of table touches and really delicious food. Highly recommend!
It was fun and colorful at the Lucky Cricket. A bonus was the all night happy hour for the Chinese New Year. Tried some apps that we may not have because of the price. Our waiter, Matt was very good and attentive. A good place to go after the movie for Asian influenced food.
We have eaten at Lucky Cricket twice before with mixed experience. This time we had a gift card so we’re compelled to return. We had fairly low expectations based on past visits. To be honest, the evening started out a bit rocky. We sat for quite awhile before any wait staff would even make eye contact with us, then finally had to ask for water. We placed our order apprehensively but when the food came we were so happily surprised. Everything was delicious. We had a few starters plus the KFC chicken which was to die for. Free appetizer and dessert in celebration of Chinese New Year plus happy hour all day, so we ordered cocktails too. All in all a really good experience, and we would be happy to return. Still licking our fingers!!
Fast service and excellent food! Our server recommended a couple dishes to us and suggested a swap for one and everything was great!
The food was really good. We shared an appetizer of the green beans, yummy, cleared the plate. I had the Korean Fried Chicken, very flavorful, crispy and messy, yum! My friend had the Orange Sesame Chicken, she loved hers also. Will be back.
The decor was fun and entertaining.
The service outstanding.
The food unique and tastey....a bit spicey.
We will come back again.
Delicious, interesting preparations. Two of us shared 3 apps and there we took home leftovers. Don't miss the pigs ears! Imagine bacon croosed with French Fries.
Our waiter Ryan was great
We went on Sunday afternoon. They have a unique Sunday noon to 6 pm menu for $18 per person. It is "all you can eat" but one menu item at a time. The menu items are the same size as the evening menu, and there are plenty of choices. I had three items: wonton soup, pan fried dumplings, and Korean fried chicken. All were excellent, and by then I was full. Bigger eaters have a choice of about fifteen items, and you could, in theory, have them all.
I had never had Korean fried chicken, and I was interested because we are going to Korea in April. It is a lot like southern fried chicken, except that it has a honey glaze. It was excellent, but very sticky. All the entrees were excellent. The atmosphere is definitely tiki bar, but that is the concept. It's a great value, Sundays noon to 6 pm.
Girls night out! We had a great night. We lucked out being it was the new year. They had a great happy hour that went all day that had drinks and apps PLUS we got the spicy cucs for free it was buy one noodle bowl get one free! We had the ribs with kimchi, pan fried dumplings and the set of three Bao for apps. All delightful. For the main meal we had KFC (Korean fried chicken) messy and delightful, finger licking good! Would for sure get again. We also had the pork and wonton ramen and the Kung Pao Shrimp bowl both very good, if I had to pick one, i would choose the ramen first. We had drinks as well. I had the Full Grown Man and it was awesome. Our waiter was great, we shared everything and he made sure we had what we needed. He paced out food as was very attentive. I wish I could remember his name, my bad. On the way out we got a red envelope with gold chocolate coins and a coupon for a drink. Nice. Happy New Year!
Food was just OK. Will not plan to return....too many other great options in the area.
Amazing food, service and ambiance! The staff was great about us bringing our baby and putting us at the best table for our needs!
They are really trying. The interior decor is great, the waitstaff seems nice, the menu options are varied and unique. Unfortunately, it's not really working.
1. The food was all overly seasoned and mostly SALTY
2. The waiter made a few mistakes like forgetting about drinks (for the kids when they are super thirsty from the salt and spice), forgetting our leftovers in the kitchen
3. Happy hour menu was a cheap print out from the computer with notes from the waiter. Why isn't it on heavy duty card stock and looking more like a normal menu?
We've been there three times now and unfortunately, I'm not feeling like I'm in a hurry to return.
Always great service. Pretty empty during lunch hours, so it's quiet, but would like a little more ambiance and hustle bustle.
The food was average, with one person getting a dish that was too salty to eat. The staff did replace it.
The restaurant was quiet because almost no one was there.
The ambience was less than great as the staff were watching the vikings game at high volume both in the bar and the party room.
All in all, it was worth the one visit to check it out but I won't be going back.
Great experience, good food, good service! Will come back!
Second time there. They redid the menu and the food is great!
Our visit to Lucky Cricket was great. Our server (I believe it was Jasmine) was so friendly, helpful and fast. She made great suggestions, which we chose from for both cocktails and a bunch of sharing plates. The mushrooms and lettuce wraps from the sharing section of the menu were amazing. I keep dreaming of the savory, saucy mushrooms which we spooned over rice to absorb the amazing sauce. We had a mandarin chicken noodle bowl that was also super tasty. The chicken was amazing, but noodles were a little on the indulgent side in combination with the fried mandarin chicken. The cocktails were all outstanding and had really fun touches like pop rocks in one and micro edible flowers in another. The location of this restaurant is likely the only thing holding it back from being packed, as the West End's traffic isn't as high as it could be. For a Saturday evening, dimming the lights a bit more and adding some music could bring in a more exciting ambiance.
Overall, I really loved my experience at Lucky Cricket and will be back!
Had a great cocktail and good meal at the revamped Lucky Cricket. Lamb dumplings, spicy cucumbers (though not really spicy), and forbidden rice were the stand-outs.
Great drinks! The manager,Bobby and the rest of his staff are fantastic!
We loved the place, it was my third time eating here and we will be back. We had a great dinner, the portion size is large and perfect for sharing.
We ordered the shumai burger, KFC bucket, kimchi fried rice, and crispy beef noodles- ALL AMAZING
Server was great but it only been there for 8 days so she had limited knowledge of the menu. Eggrolls were overdone and lamb bites a little well done as well.
Food was okay but nothing really stood out. The restaurant "Lat14" has better Asian fare for about the same price.
Most of the food that we ordered was good. The toothpick lamb is to die for. However, I also got the Khao Man Gai, which I wasn't a big fan of. The chicken looked unseasoned and very unappetizing. It came with three sauces. The soy-scallion sauce was the only reason it was edible. The other food we got was great. It's disappointing though. I feel like the new menu is just a bit boring.
Unique eats, can spice it up or down. Found good meals for adults down to 12 year olds
Great service. Reasonable prices (exception: specialty drinks), and excellent food.
We went on a slow evening and the service was good, the food was great, and the vibe was fun. Despite it being slower, the noise level was still pretty moderate with the music and larger group near us. If you like spicy food, this is a great place for you. I love spice, and some of the dishes took me by surprise! The special drinks the server told us about were Star Wars inspired (since Rise of Skywalker had just come out) and they were tasty and fun. I had been hearing not-so-great things about the restaurant, which was disappointing since I live so close by, but I was very pleased overall with the food and the experience.
Interesting and tasty menu. Options for sharing, including some of the entrees. Just the right amount of attention from our waiter.
We wanted to try something new, and we found it! Started with egg rolls, crispy hot and yummy sauce, had calamari also, we fought for the last bite!!!! We also had Dumplings, I didn’t try them as I dont like them, but friends did and said they were just OK.... Dinner we had Bucket of chicken, sweet and spicey sticky sauce, I really enjoyed them, Lots in the bucket also. We also had the sesame chicken which we all thought was the best dish, also had pork belly it was served with a fried egg although I didn’t like it, the other 3 did it was different dish we normally wouldn’t order. Sides, ordered fried rice which was not typical fried rice, actually i don’t even think it had rice in it! Lots of veggies diced and cubed items so again totally different and I did not like, but others said it was ok. Another side was the great green beans really enjoyed them. And oh as silly as it may sound there white rice was really good! HAHA, We tried a lot of items and I would go back since I have a few favorites now! Solid B+ or A-
