Lulu California Bistro
Service was good but food was very bland. I ordered the roasted chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The chicken was ok but the mashed potatoes and asparagus hardly had any flavor. My husband ordered the fish and chips which he said were “ok”. He did the 4 course option and ordered the mushroom soup (also bland) and roasted beet salad in which the beets were not roasted at all. I’m surprised this place has such good reviews. Probably won’t go back.
Lulu’s is always a must when we are in the area. The Key Lime Pie Martini is delicious!
Great escargot. Really everything I’ve had there has been tasty and well prepared
Several locals recommended Lulus and we were not disappointed.
Waitress was not attentive, disappeared for long periods of time. The setting on A Thursday with the street fair always outstanding!
Food took a long time to be served.
Overall. Just ok.. back to the River..
I stated “Yes, I’d recommend Lulu’s”, however, I was disappointed this evening. Service was very slow, but once it began the drink, appetizer, main course all came piling on. Little time to enjoy each one. I mentioned on the reservation it was our 51st anniversary and usually a good restaurant will at least mentioned it, but there was absolutely no acknowledgement of same to us. Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience. It should be noted that we have dined at Lulu’s numerous times prior to this.
3 course dinners for $19.99 and the food was very good. I had the chicken piccata 😊
A good place to bring out of town guests. Large menu and the food is consistently average.
The service in the bar area this night was severely subpar
Food is good. Not stellar but more than adequate. Rather noosy on the second level. Excellent server.
Great everything from the menu to the Ambiance it's, like eating at a cafe in gay Paris !!!👨🎨👨🎨
Fun art deco ambiance, good service and good meal value. The food is DECENT and will fill you up. We got the 3 course option- it was essentially buffet food that you choose and they bring it out to you in courses.
Lulu's never fails to satisfy - not, not satisfy, exceed expectations.
The three people brunching all had different things, and all were
AND, there's no beating the value!
Love to come and eat here when I am in Palm Springs! It is always busy, but I receive excellent customer service each time I go there
Lulu is normally my number one reservation as I visit the city at minimum twice monthly. It has always been exceptional every visit but this time the service was lacking and the food was so over salted it couldn't be eaten. Very poor experience which I am disappointed to report.
Loved Lulu! My friends and I had received several recommendations to eat here. The 3 and 4 course prefix menus are a really good value and the food was absolutely delicious.
The food was terrible. Not good quality. Service was terrible! Won’t be returning.
We booked a table at Lulus with our usual preferences. We understand that restaurants are not always able to meet the request. Our experience is that we are seated in a quiet booth 1 time in 6 visits. With a reservation you will be seated more quickly than without one but we were seated in a hallway next to the second floor bar and kitchen. It was not a satisfactory table. The food was adequate but not particularly tasty this Saturday night. The waitress took our order and delivered it timely. Of course, proximity to the kitchen helped with this aspect. Will serious be reconsidering whether or not to eat at Lulus again.
Great food and wait staff. However, we had made reservations with Open Table in advance and we were seated upstairs where they were set up,for very large parties. We requested a table downstairs but were told there was nothing available. The large parties and the blasting music made it difficult to hear one another at our table for 3. Also, the occasion was special (birthday) but no acknowledgement was made. As I said, the food was very good and our waitress could not have been nicer.
We have never had a bad meal at Lulu! Food and service is always superb!
