Great food, ambience, drinks, & service. Wonderful evening!
The food is delicious! Cocktails are heavenly! Great location and outside seating. Service is always impressive.
Delicious pizza and a great server. We enjoyed a beautiful meal on the patio.
Noise was higher because we ate outside and they had a DJ. Food was delicious. Lasagna serving size was a little small. Drinks were excellent. Very friendly staff.
Our favorite Italian family and cuisine...this says it all! A must 'enjoy' for all.
Great place to eat in downtown Greenville. The food was fresh and delicious. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful with the menu items. The gelato was great and they had a huge selection of flavors. I would highly recommend Luna Rosa for a nice night out
Always a great evening out..good food and they make you feel like family!
Good food. Great service.
My new favorite Greenville restaurant! We absolutely fell in love with everything about it!
We waited an hour for our food and 40 minutes for the check. The food was terrible.
I sincerely apologize for your bad experience. We are actively working getting the food out to tables in a more timely manner, because we know this has been a problem. As for the food, I wish you had said something while you were there to give us the chance to fix it. I would love for you to give us a second chance to redeem ourselves.
Excellent food and service. Was concerned may be too touristy of a location and not have have the best food but was greatly mistaken. The Ceasar Salad was great, generous use of garlic in there homemade dressing. We had pastas and pizza at our table and all excellent. Highly recommend the chicken Marsala which I requested served with pasta instead of potatoes which they graciously did. The service friendly yet professional and prompt. We all ended with a gelato which was very creamy and there flavors were right on and not overpowering
The food was EXTREMELY overpriced for the choices offered. The cocktails averaged $12 each (which is about $3 too high in my opinion). No options to go with a steak aside from Risotto. The salad was extremely lacking in quality and quantity. Overall for my wife, 12 year old son and myself, the meal totaled $150. 2 Cocktails, 1 Filet, 1 Spaghetti and Meatball, Chicken Tenders & Fries. I was not shocked as I knew the menu prior to arriving but I certainly didn't expect the quantity or taste to be subpar. We have been trying a new restaurant every Friday night for several months through the OpenTable app. This is the first one we won't ever visit again (except for the gelato, which was awesome).
We apologize that you were not happy with your experience with us. While we appreciate the feedback, I wish you had said something while you were dining with us so we would have had the chance to make your experience better. We would love to have the chance to redeem ourselves with you if you would give us another chance.
Our party of four sat outside. The service was great, food was very good, and the gelato outstanding as usual.
We were celebrating a birthday and it was a lovely evening.
We need to support this restaurant. It would be a real loss to downtown to lose it.
Hopefully, the spring will bring an abundance of business for them.
A birthday celebration with friends. Outside table, overhead lights, along Main Street, fabulous cocktails.
The food at Luna Rosa was mediocre at best and was a poor representation of Italian cuisine. The service was down right terrible and we barely saw our server in the 1.5 hours we were there. I would not recommend this restaurant, unless you want to waste your money.
Oddly the waitress will not take your order for gelato after your meal. They make you get up and get in line to order it. Other than that the food is good.
First off, let me start by saying that the food was good. The dishes were flavorful, but one was supposed to be capellini and one linguine, and they both came out over spaghetti. I found it strange that an Italian place specified what pasta it was then sent out spaghetti for both. Also, the food took forever, and there were only 3 tables, including our table of two, and two couples at the bar... and one of those tables left because it was so slow. It took us almost an HOUR to get two pasta dishes. I have no idea what the hold up was, but we too were getting ready to just leave when the food showed up. The server was very nice but offered no reason or apology for the delay. Maybe they were just understaffed? That being said, I think even if it was only one person in the kitchen, they should’ve been able to get those 9 meals out a bit quicker than that. It was nice that they had half price bottles of wine... that helped. Side salads also come out before the meals, and the homemade dressing was very good. Unfortunately, no bread comes with them. Again, any good Italian place has good homemade bread to start with. We thought the bar area was very cute and loved the lighting but the lighting in the restaurant part was cold and too bright. Overall, we might give it another chance down the road, but they really need to work on speeding up the service and warming up the ambience.
Cute lil date night spot, the gelato is so good! We had the motz medallions which were amazing, the dipping sauce tasted house made. The stuffed mushrooms were great (it would’ve been great if they had a non Gorgonzola option, so I could’ve had them but my boyfriend loved them!). The Scallopini is delicious and the pasta was great. My boyfriend got the Margarita pizza which was a bit dry but the taste was good!
Maggie is the best server, you should always request her if you go!
Delicious food, great atmosphere! And Best gelato EVER!
Great wait staff and food portions were excellent.
Went for the Valentine's special menu dinner and really enjoyed it! Jose and Lauren do such a fabulous job. The fried mozzarella was particularly delicious.
Luna Rosa is a beautiful downtown cafe in Greenville,SC...we’ve enjoyed the gelato on several occasions but never dined here until today (Feb.14) for a fun & different Valentines Day date...the service was impeccable, friendly & professional...we both decided to try the Cesar Salad with top round steak...we both love a good Cesar Salad and were excited to try Luna Rosa’s take on said salad...we were underwhelmed & disappointed with what we were served...the greens were most likely prepared in advance (by more than a day) and were swimming in whatever the dressing was - and the top round steak served on top was tasteless and very cold, maybe we’ll come back some day and try a panini...the fried cheese sticks we had as an appetizer were really good as was the amazing gelato...
This was a fantastic dining experience for my date and me. Every course was perfectly and promptly prepared as well as outstanding, personable attention from staff. Highly recommend!
Always amazing food and top notch service.
We had an amazing Valentine's Day dinner at Luna Rosa. The owner and wait staff were over the top awesome. They were so friendly and informative. The owner gave us the back story on what the space was before becoming their restaurant. The food was fabulous. We had stuffed mushrooms, fried mozzarella square, soup and filet. Everything was out of the world great! Will definitely go back.
Awesome atmosphere. Awesome food. Awesome service. Can't wait to go back!
Luna Rosa is a hidden gem in Greenville. Known for its gelato, it often gets overlooked for dinner or lunch. Definitely recommend for either or both!
Great environment, friendly staff, and delicious food. We typically just come for gelato but this time, we enjoyed a meal as well. We will definitely be back.
Great little place. Cozy but chic. Great food and excellent service!
Food is always delicious. Owners and staff are awesome. Very customer service oriented and friendly.
We were seated promptly. Our server was friendly but busy. Good food and great gelato
Really nice place right on Main St. Quick walk to the falls and shopping. Service was excellent as was the food... This is a casual place with inside and outside seating so if its chilly do not sit where we sat which was by the side door... We didn't realize the staff would be going in and out constantly - Overall Gelato was outstanding as was the food and service!
A+ experience for our family of five. Highly recommended the spaghetti and meatball. The meatball is about the size of a fist and super tasty.
The entree was excellent. The salad was prepared and plated in advance, it could have tasted fresher if done when ordered. The staff was very welcoming . The service was very good. We will go again.
As always, the service is excellent, the food delicious, I met a friend for lunch and it is always a lovely meal here. The only problem is we never have room for the gelato!! It is worth an extra trip!!
We had a great experience. The service and food were excellent!
Joined them for dinner on New Year’s. The food was excellent. The ambiance was a little lacking due to the gelato station. They could have closed the curtain to improve the ambiance, but staff seemed reluctant to do it. The person serving gelato in front could greet people coming in for dinner. We would definitely dine here again. Recommend the Pasta Milano.
Very good food. It wasn't too loud which is always nice when on a date. It wasn't too expensive either. It was like twenty-five dollars with the tip.
Our neighborhood gem....home away from home...and love 'Mama's surprise soups!' Holiday Blessings to all at Luna Rosa!
We absolutely love Luna Rosa, our home away from home. What makes it special, aside from the excellent homemade cuisine, is a family-caring environment to every last detail...from pizza to homemade pasta! A must for all at least once a week.
