Maestro's Bistro & Dinner Club
We took our son and a couple of his friends to Maestro for a celebration dinner. Our son wanted a good steak and Maestro did not disappoint! There were 5 of us and we all got something different and everyone raved about their food. The service was excellent.
They’re still figuring things out. I think last night was their busiest night ever. Bartender was also our waiter which was hard for him. Food ok. Was better last time we went.
We had a terrific late lunch at Maestro's Bistro. The food is terrific - I especially enjoyed the shrimp and pasta entree. You have to look a little bit to find the restaurant since it's not right on Main Street, but is inside the bank building just past the lobby. But it's definitely a great find - we'll go back when we're in Greenville again!
Took our daughter and new son in law to celebrate the day after their wedding.
Hands down a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Greenville. Our anniversary plans were totally disrupted earlier in the year when everything was shut down, so when we decided to celebrate 6 months later, we knew we needed to go somewhere special. We were blown away. This was by far one of the best meals and was definitely a night to remember! Maestro's staff were so attentive and all went the extra mile to make our night totally worth the wait. Not to mention, the food was phenomenal... I highly recommend going with whatever the Chef's special is of the day! We can't wait to go back! A special thank you Tyrell, Ryan and everyone else that took care of us tonight!
Food was excellent! I could not ignore the reviews about the sea bass so I indulged and it definitely didn't disappoint! My husband had the pheasant and the taste was superb. Our server was Sarah and she was awesome! Brian the guitarist was also very good!
sorry, but the music (guitar singer) was just too loud much of the time. Hard to carry on conversation with music so loud. Next visit, we will request the "back room" :-)
also, we were a party of 6, and the table was too crowded (sitting too close together).
Maestro's aspires to be a lovely "fine dining" experience. Less music and more space would make the experience a true "fine dining" evening for all.
Kevin was an exceptional server tonight! Not only was the sea bass some of the best I’ve ever had but Kevin chatted us up like old friends. We had a wide ranging conversation which ended in dessert. THe Sqrrl peanut butter whisky over ice cream was a perfect end to a great meal. Oysters and she crab soup to start were fantastic. The sea bass and scallop entrees were both solid, but the sea bass was melt in your mouth awesomeness. Locals should be supporting this downtime hidden gem. We think the place may have a bit of an identity crisis, but food and service are on point. We had such a memorable meal that we highly recommend this place for travelers and locals alike!
So impressed with this restaurant! Excellent service from Sarah. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great suggestions. We ordered the Duck Breast and Chicken Picatta, both were amazing. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Lovely new discovery. Awesome for date night. Worth the price for delicious food. Live guitar music was just right not loud and overwhelming like some places. Will go back.
Outstanding we Loved it!!!
We tried Maestro's primarily because it is new and the menu looked tempting. The prices were a high, but understandable for downtown. But little things were irritating, such as: $3 charge for "rocks" in my cocktail; and the escargot was $2 more than the listed price on the menu. The food quality was good, but not memorable. The server was friendly, but needs more training with menu knowledge and not being over attentive. Our biggest disappointment was the atmosphere and decor, which is sorely lacking. The lighting was too bright. Candles would help, as would adding some decorative accessories.
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars for all of the above!!! The service and food was exceptional!
Tyrell and his staff made my mother’s birthday extremely special. We all had an amazing dinning experience. The food was absolutely delicious! Hands down the BEST! We will definitely return soon! Thank you
First time trying this place on a Saturday night for a date night with my husband. Service was incredible, all items ordered were delicious and had a live acoustic music to accompany the evening. It was a lovely experience and we will return again.
The service was amazing, the food, excellent. We will be back!
This was the best dining experience I’ve had in Greenville, and one of the best steaks of my 52yo life. Service was impeccable, amiable...genuine. Just an absolutely perfect evening.
great music with Twin Sons
Excellent food and service. Very engaging staff.
Excellent location in the heart of downtown and attentive service
We had a great night at Maestro Bistro. They are a must stop if in Greenville. I had the Duck and my wife had Sea Bass. Both were cooked to perfection. Also had starters of oysters and escargot (traditional). I had the truffle/mushroom risotto that was excellent, just the right touch.
The owners and staff went out of their way to provide top notch service.
Outstanding service and food, gracious warm personal welcome from staff, beautiful presentation, friendly clientele, will be our go to place for special evenings. Oysters Rockefeller incredible. Great cocktails. Staff helpful but never intrusive. First and certainly not last time!
Came here for our wedding anniversary - from out of town - it was perfect. Cozy, romantic, very attentive wait staff, the food was delicious, live music, and a special little surprise dessert - which just topped everything off . We had a wonderful evening and would definitely recommend this place.
Oysters and carpaccio were amazing as were the sea bass. Great date night.
We hit this place on a Monday night during the pandemic, just as 100% capacity dining was opening back up in South Carolina, so the dining room was sparsely populated. Patrick, a young quiet boy was our server under the skilled tutelage of Ryan, who plied his craft with a well practiced skill that suggested years of experience in high end food service. I have no doubt that Patrick will be an exceptional server and worth every dime of tips when his training is complete. From opening the front door, to seating us at our table, to engage in conversation, these guys were at the top of their game all night long.
The next person to show up at our table was the general manager, Michael if my memory serves me correctly, asking if we were there for a special occasion or just dinner. When my family threw me under a bus and told him it was my birthday, he immediately had two flutes of champagne and two "Mocktails" for the kids sent to our table to celebrate.
The character limit at open table will not permit me to go into too much detail about how amazing the service was in this restaurant, because I still have to talk about the ambience and the food.
The dining room is furnished with comfortable tables spaced far enough apart to be private, and perimeter seating that looked quite comfortable. The Wall decor is classy and understated. The blue and white color theme is very classic South Carolina. The music was loud enough to drown out conversation amongst the other tables, but soft enough so that you could hear the people at your own table. Good music, too, from a retro perspective. It was the quieter side of 1970s disco.
And then there's the food, oh my God the food. My son and I both got the bone in filet special, my husband got the tomahawk ribeye special, and my daughter got some pasta and chicken thing. We could each write entire five star reviews on just what was on our plates. But I'm out of room. This place is expensive, but 100% worth it.
The best dining experience I’ve had at a restaurant ever, HANDS DOWN. What an absolute elegant establishment! From the time we walked in the door, throughout our entire dining experience, until we were reluctantly leaving. Hats off to Chef Samuel and his wife Arielle on their amazing establishment. Beautiful decor, great ambience, immaculate service, the most AMAZING food and just an overall perfect experience. The GM Pam makes you feel like family with her spot on hospitality. She really makes you feel at home and that you never need for anything. Andres was an amazing server, providing our party with perfect service. The staff here is very attentive and organized. The hostess was even helping fellow staff any way she could. My party all ordered different appetizers, entrees and drinks. You know you’re at the right place when the table becomes silent as each course arrives. Thank you to Maestro Bistro for making us feel at home away from home. We will definitely be back.
Great new spot in Greenville! Great food and service. Amazing brunch, accommodating staff. They even made homemade BBQ sauce for my son’s chicken fingers. We will be back.
Amazing food and service. We started off with margaritas, empanadas, and oysters, which were great. Then our entrees were scallops and duck, both cooked perfectly. Our server mentioned that there would be a wine tasting night coming up and possible pairing it with Argentinian dishes in the future. I can't wait to go back and also try the wine tasting nights! I'm going to follow social media accounts to make sure I can attend.
Got together with a group of friends. Kevin our server did an excellent job of taking care of us. The appetizers came out hot and timely. I had the sea bass for my entree and chef Sammy did an excellent job. It was cooked to perfection and the bellule Chardonnay wine paired excellent with it. We were a party of eight and everyone raved about our dining experience at Maestros!
Service provided by Ryan was outstanding! Entrees, especially the pistachio crusted scallops, were excellent. Entertainment during our dinner deterred from the experience.
My date and I had the prime cut of the tomahawk steak. The flavor of the steak was outstanding and seasoned perfectly. The steak was presented to the table on a cutting board after it cooked and prepared to a perfect medium rare. The wine that was selected by our waiter paired perfectly with the steak. Our dining experienced was finished with the creme brulee for dessert which was also excellent. I would highly recommend Chef Sammy and his wonderful staff for a memorable evening.
Made the reservation for my parents and they absolutely loved it! It was there anniversary and everyone took great care of them of a special day! Plus there was live music by Paul Walter l. Chef even came out and said hello and talk to them for a while. Finished off the night with a creme brûlée .
They were great! We went for my birthday and the staff treated us to a champagne toast and the chef brought a complimentary dessert. The food was great. I loved it!
Food and service were top notch. Ambiance is a little off as there is bright lighting and decor needs some work. Certainly will be coming back as the menu was exceptional. Thank you for making our celebratory meal wonderful!
Amazing vibes, really good drinks and great service. Food was delicious. We had fresh oysters, she crab soup, delicious trout and amazing peanut butter cake for desert! Our server Grace was sweet and helpful, suggested very delicious martini and very tasty red wine! Manager Tyrell Parker stoped by our table and introduce himself, was very friendly and charismatic. Will be reserving for dinner for sure.
The service at Maestro’s sets them apart! The staff was friendly, approachable and worked hard to make us happy without smothering us with too many interruptions. We loved our cocktails but feel the kitchen is still working out a few kinks. The menu offerings are excellent though so we plan to return.
As always, Chef Sammy and his crew delivered. The traditional escargot are some of the best I’ve ever had. Empanadas are authentic and delicious. Best part of our food adventures here are the daily chef’s inspirations. On this night we had a lightly Cajun seasoned halibut over three cheese ravioli with a beurre blanc sauce that was perfect. My new favorite dinner spot...and they even have live music on top of the awesome food! Special shout outs to Ryan for the great service, Valentino and Adam at the bar with phenomenal drinks, and Arielle for keeping us company and letting us kick off her birthday weekend! Love this place and all our friends that are part of Chef’s awesome family and team.
I truly want to rate them as 5 stars on everything. Yet I can't. Know that everything after what I write here will be from someone who is going back to give them another chance. Our preference was to sit inside but the ear piercing violin in the main dining room sent us scrambling away from our spot to an outside table. Our seating was a bit difficult as our server was not matched for the task and after a brief greeting 15 minutes after our initial seating he momentarily talked to us. He told us repeatedly that he was in the weeds and had asked not to be seated. He would come to us when we was able. He was not ready for the task of what should be a 5 star establishment. The food was an end of the night offering without much attention to the details that would open the door for an excellent presentation.
Our food was good but way over buttered. Sea bass was reminiscent of movie theatre popcorn. The pheasant was good but cooked short of the best cooking of the skin. Again, we were the end of the night table and the restaurant has staffing issues from service to back of the house according to our server. I truly hope that they have their act together next time.
In brief, everything was 4 stars. Next time I want to post a 5 star review.
Great place and food
Maestros has become my favorite restaurant in Greenville. The empanadas were excellent . They were lightly fried and flaky with an excellent chimichurri sauce. The sea bass was very flavorful and cooked just right. Our server Kevin did an excellent job of taking care of us. Maestros is an excellent dining experience.
