Maestro's Bistro & Dinner Club
Food was okay. Not worth the high price. I spend over $100 just one person; one 8oz steak, mac & cheese, fries, a dessert and two drinks. Food was nothing special. I could spend same for a party of two ordering same in another place or better quality than what I had here. Very disappointed.
This is my second time eating here. The first time I sat outside. Service was terrible. No one even acknowledged us for the first 45 minutes. This time I thought we would try inside. They tried to sit us at the tiniest two top table that was slam in the middle of a walk way. We opted to sit outside. Again, service was terrible. It took forever to get anything. We ordered the seafood tower that said it included oysters, crab legs, lobster, and shrimp. We got oysters, clams, mussels, 3 shrimp, and THE SMALLEST lobster I have ever seen. At first I thought it was another shrimp. I don't like clams or mussels and wanted the crab legs!?!?! Our server was so incredibly nice, but it just could not overcome all the other issues.
Sorry folks, but there was not a lot of greatness here tonight...
The best service was at the bar before seating. Table staff was ok, food was okay, prices were high relative to quality of food. Caesar salad was not good...very poor exection. Fish was over cooked, dry and barely warm. Too much dressing on other salad...pouring still rose in champagne flute? and way too loud with the two guys with guitars for such a small dining room...good luck
Service, ambiance and quality food. Could not ask for more. Live music that was soft and very enjoyable. A perfect evening.
Great food and great service. The band playing in the background was a great ad to a good evening. I really liked how they presented the food to the entire table all at once – the great unveil.
Amazing steaks and amazing service. One of my favorite places to dine!
Excellent Brunch. Bloody Mary's were delicious. Food was great. Outdoor seating available. Will definitely dine again.
Father’s 80th birthday and Mother’s Day. Brunch/lunch Menu had a good variety of options. Everyone enjoyed their soups and entrees. Chicken gumbo with okra was amazing.
The food is amazing and service attentive. We were there early on a Monday and it was not busy. Lovely place!
Best restaurant expensive in my entire traveling anywhere in the world
Food was all delicious. Had oysters and escargot. All 4 of us had different entrees, lamb, cobia, sea bass all were cooked perfectly. Only complaint is that main waiter had an attitude like he did not want to be there. Very terse and short with us, no personality and really could not hear him through his mask However the service team to bring and change courses, etc was fantastic and attentive. Gave this a 4 overall, but with a different waiter this could have easily been a 5
Recommended by the bellman of the Poinsett for our only night in Greeneville, and it was a hit. Melvin provided great service. Fun food options...my first ever experience with pheasant was delicious. Scallops were a hit. And the chocolate cake with peanut butter genache was to die for. I highly recommend this chef owned and operated dining destination.
Very enjoyable evening. Our waiter was very attentive without being a nuisance. The Schreiner's escargot was superb. The entrees were delicious. Although my wife ordered her steak medium and it came a solid medium-rare, they quickly corrected the error. The only negative was that the live band was just a little too loud for easy conversation. However, the band was great, and the energy and vibe in the room was friendly and fun, so we ended up having a wonderful evening.
We went early - 5:30 p.m. so it was very quiet. Don't know what it would be like at a later time. The menu was explained very well by the waiter. My date & I shared the special which was a fried (lightly) seafood platter and was good. A cocktail was fixed to my special liking and it I didn't like it, they would take it back and try and make it better. But it was good.
The only drawback I would say is that the dining room isn't large and the bar is right there in the corner. There was an annoying guy (might have been drinking a lot) that almost yelled when he talked & you couldn't hear each other at the table. But this wasn't the restaurants fault as I guess there was nowhere else to place the bar!
Enjoyed the evening.
Food was awesome as always!!! Server was fair. He seem like he was in a rush and rushing us out of restaurant. We paid TOOOO MUCH FOR FOOD!!?
The food and hospitality was amazing, not to mention the fantastic service!
A delicious and wonderful dining experience for lunch or for dinner. Highly recommend this. I have been several times for each and never disappointed. A real gem!!!!
Best meal and service I've had in a really long time. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Instead of pushing drinks/meals on us they listened to what we liked and provided true recommendations that were incredible (Waygu Carpaccio!). The location is in a great place as well. The filet mignon I had on Monday night was better than several of the more niche places known for their steak entrees.
Will definitely return many times in the future. Thank you for the great food and service!
Excellent service and food!
This by far is one of our favorite Date Night locations in Greenville! My wife and I have been several times and every time it's an amazing experience!
Could not have had a more perfect evening. Chef Sam Dominguez created dishes that dazzled our party and made a get together of old friends a night to remember.
All the stellar reviews proved correct. My friends and I could not have enjoyed our lunch more. We were graciously greeted by the chef and then a number of waiters took over. The luncheon alfresco was perfect. And the menu creative, food exceptional, and price was fantastic. We are going back soon.
Great food and service. Ambiance is just average. A bit pricey. $46 for rack of lamb is high for Greenville.
Very good food and server was knowledgeable about wine and food. Early reservations will help with social distancing. Eight o’clock brings more diners and tables are closer.
App was cold and steak was over cooked
This was the best restaurant we have eaten in since moving to SC. The service and the food was the reason for this 5 star rating. We will definitely go back even though we live a bit farther from Greenville. It's worth the trip for a great dining experience.
Food was good but not amazing. Service was wonderful. Bar was definitely lacking. Drinks tasted watered down, cocktails tasted off. Now a days when you have places like Swordfish and speakeasies around it elevates the standard and this did not cut it! Ambience was also lacking. Definitely not a date type atmosphere. We had a large group of friends so it was fine but cheaply decorated and too bright. With all the amazing options so close we will likely not be back but I’m glad I tried it out.
One of the best meals we have had in Greenville.
Food: Cooked as requested and one of the best cuts of Tuna period.
Service: Patrick was great, attentive but not overly, Drinks ALWAYS kept full but without you feeling like he was always there. Thanks for the great evening Patrick
Live music: Normally downtown this is to loud and over bearing. The music was a perfect blend so you could still talk and enjoy the music.
The food was all delicious and the staff were amazing. We will be back again soon!
Extremely overpriced, mediocre food at best. Ribeye had no flavor and tasted like it was frozen once before. Caesar salad was good concept, but heavily dressed leaving it soggy. Pheasant was dry and bland. Bees knees cocktail was over saturated with honey making it undrinkable. Parmesan risotto was only good thing we ate. Overall, it was a disappointing food experience, where you could tell there is no well-trained master chef driving the cuisine and flavor - more so line cooks pushing out plates. We won’t be back.
Pros and cons here but overall not worth the hefty price we paid to eat here. Service was very good but the food was very underwhelming for the price. There was a musician set up in the corner playing acoustic guitar style music that was pretty loud. Not the atmosphere you would expect for what we spent on dinner. Cocktails and wine selection were good. I did enjoy the escargot we had as an appetizer but the scallops and chicken piccata were not what they should have been for an upscale restaurant.
I have only been here 4x since they opened but have brought a different friend each time, I have always enjoyed it and so have they!!
My brother, sister and I celebrated my mother's 80th birthday here last night and it was absolutely delightful. First, all of us have been in the restaurant business most of our lives and are pretty discerning. Maestro's has a lovely ambiance and is a perfect setting for an intimate dinner or even a larger group. Our server was Peter and he was was wonderful - attentive, humorous and ready to roll with our group. The food was the absolute star of the show. I had the foie gras, she crab soup and the roasted pheasant, which was cook to perfection. The foie gras was served on top of toasts and a perfect sauce. Just delicious.
We enjoyed a dozen West Coast oysters, Oysters Rockefeller and escargot. So yummy.
For entrees, we enjoyed the Sea Bass, Scallops and the duck plus the dishes I mentioned above for myself. All of these were really perfectly prepared. Not one thing I would change.
Dessert was fabulous finding us ordering the cappuccino cake and crême broulé.
I ordered a bottle of syrah, which was very fairly priced but also delicious. Cocktail list is thorough and varied.
Highly recommend this great little gem. Totally worth the price.
Great food and place. Staff wonderful. Great experience.
Great service. Even better food. Drinks were good too. 10/10
Great place we thoroughly enjoyed it! Would recommend!
