Maiz Street Food

Delicious food and excellent service! Our server was awesome ...I wanted the corn but he told me it was no longer on the menu. He asked the chef if he could still make it for me, and he did!! It was or first time at Maiz, but definitely not the last!

I had a reservation here on September 4th, 2019 and got there and the place was completely closed. There was no notice or anything and the website allowed me to make the reservation. I was very upset as I was looking forward to an arepa. You need to let the community know you are closed by posting it online or having a popup when you try to book. Really disappointed

Great food, especially the arepas. The cocktails would be better with a bit more booze in them, to round out the flavours - these are creative takes on classics like mojitos and margaritas.

Food was good, service great but prices are quite high for a small neighbourhood spot.

The food is soooo damn good! And the service is polite and kind. Highly recommend!

The food was hearty for meat eaters but very bland vegan food.

The apps and drinks were good. The aprapas were not very good. We had the chicken and steak, overall they lacked flavour. Also the restaurant was not very busy, but for some reason the staff seemed like they were in a rush to clear our table. I had to ask several times if they could leave something at the table. Overall it wasn't bad. It just wasn't as great as I had hoped. However they had a lot of takeout orders so I do think there are a lot of people that love this place.

This was our second time at Maiz. We were at a table beside the front door and every time someone came into the restaurant we were hit with an icy blast of air. They have a makeshift curtain but that doesn’t work that well. Our food was pretty good. The pork tacos were very dry so I had to douse them with the bottled sauce they provided.

So good! Really enjoyed our meal! Would go again!!.

The food was great, however, it was very loud. We had to ask twice to have the music turned down, so we could have a conversation over our delicious dinner!

Authentic, neighbourhood, simple ‘street food’... proper Mexican tacos that met our expectation and will definitely go back. Friendly service and lively music!

It was ok. Little over price but it worth it. Services and music was fantastic. However, the arepa reina is not authentic. U should follow the original recipe. Churros and tequeños were AMAIZING!!!
