   We had an early reservation(4). Seated on time. Very friendly wait staff. Main server explained menu and the specials. Took drink orders. Bread and herbed butter brought to table. Server returned with drinks. Asked if we had questions or needed more time—we did. Next trip we were ready. 10oz “Manhattan” NY strip for me and Cajun salmon for my wife. Both included “bottomless” salad and a side. Steak requested medium rare and was perfect. Cajun salmon was excellent. Salad was basically simple but cold and tasted great. My Mac and Cheese was very good but just a bit salty. Wife’s broccoli was excellent. We shared a large, thick chocolate chip cookie topped with scoops of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Comped as it was my wife’s b-day. Plus, every member of the staff that dealt with us wished her a HB. Nice touches. Perfectly paced service. Excellent food. Yes, we will return.

   My brother had made a substitution and the server was not very clear about there being an added cost for the substitution. Other than that communication issue, everything was great!

   We had a fantastic time at Malone's. We brought an aunt from Colorado with us and my step-daughter -- they were all impressed with the food, the drink, and the service too. It seems like at some places you only get one "wow" -- the food is good but the service wasn't or the service was terrific and the food was mediocre -- not at Malone's. It was perfect all around! On a side note, I was in the bathroom and a woman from Ohio said they were hungry and just got off of I-71 to find a place to eat. She was thrilled with Malone's as well! Keep up the good work!!

   Typically great service, but this time was quite disappointing. Took way too long to get our drinks (no alcohol, just teas and sodas) and then an hour to get our salads. Hardly saw our server the entire time. Our server had an assistant. He brought us two sets of bread but no refills. Good quality was ok but for $230+ for four entrees, no alcohol, no dessert… took way too long to be served.

   The restaurant is beautiful, with dark wood floors, stone accent walls and a very impressive 2 story bourbon bar area illuminated by gas lights. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We took advantage of their special 25th anniversary and ordered a bottle of wine and 2 sirloin steak dinners from their special menu. A load of French bread was brought to the table with herb butter that was delicious. We had the Lexingtonian salad, which I really enjoyed but my husband was not as fond of the salad. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to order, and so flavorful that no sauce was needed. I had a large baked potato on the side and my husband had the French fries, and both sides were very good. We will definitely return to Malone’s.

   Malone’s never disappoints! We had a 6:15 reservation on a Saturday night and both the restaurant and Harry’s were packed. We waited only about five minutes for our table and our service was great and our food was amazing! The bread was warm, salad was fresh and the steaks were prepared to order. We’ve never had a bad meal or bad service at Malone’s and it continues to be my family’s go to restaurant in the Ville!

    Birthday lunch . Server was waiting on tables and the bar. Definitely catered to the bar over her tables. The table next to us even had to walk to the bar and try to get her attention. Food was good but service definitely lacked.

    While I've had a mixed experiences with their front of house in the past, the food has continuously been on-point. Happily, as of my last visit, their front of house has fully caught up with the food. Had phenomenal lunch service Mar '23 thanks to Drew, will certainly request his section and be returning soon.

    Our server team of Kayto and Eva were amazing and provided personal service without being intrusive. Anna was the manager that night and provided just the right touches. We will definitely return.

    I have lived in Louisville for seven years, ate at LeMoo, Ruth Chris, Jeff Ruby's, etc. and Malone's steak was the best. Portions sizes are big and seems to be a great value for the quality and portions. Malone's will be my go to steak place in Louisville.

    First off, I had a reservation and still had to wait. Watching them seat walk-ins that no doubt probably had been waiting, but I again had a reservation. They also kept referring to my mother as the name on the reservation, even after her correcting them several times- not a big deal, but unnecessarily annoying. When paying $40 for a "4 ounce" steak and some shrimp, you expect to have an amazing 4oz steak and some decent shrimp. Instead my steak was cooked down to probably about 2.5oz and the shrimp were very small and was only served 5 of these tiny shrimp. My side, while costing extra, was good but not really something you'd eat by itself. Definitely more of a dip. Everyone's else at my table who got steak- all ordered medium rare, all had steaks at med well. Which really is annoying when you are paying $60 for a steak. One person got fries and they were cold. The salad was good and the bread was good, but that's not why you go to Malones. The cocktails were good, but two had probably only 3 oz of actual liquid and was full of crushed ice. The server/server assistants, while nice, were constantly forgetting about us. At first, I get it- it was Friday night and they were busy. But by the end of the meal, we were one of maybe 5 tables in the whole restaurant and it took a good 20 minutes to get our check after asking for our to-go containers. We also did not consistently have the same person serving us- in total 5 different people came to our table. While walking to the bathroom, I was stopped waiting for some servers to clear the walk way and one, not paying attention, peppered me with a broom full of debris he had been sweeping. Not the end of the world, but gross. I understand trying to get your closing duties done, but you still should be aware of your surroundings. All in all, there are better places to get a good steak dinner.

    Had a lunch reservation for 1 pm. Had to request to be seated in dining room. They ALWAYS try to seat you in the bar. The bar is for those without reservations. If I have a reservation, I expect to be seated in the dining room. They ended up seating us near the kitchen and beverage serving station; not ideal since they were not crowded or busy. The server either had a difficult lunch crowd just before or was simply preoccupied. He took our drink orders and brought one drink but forgot the other. At 1:40, we started inquiring about our food and the forgotten drink. The food proceeded to come out but 40 minutes is an unacceptable amount of time to wait for a bowl of soup, a piece of baked fish and steamed broccoli. We also ordered salad to accompany our entrees which was never delivered. The server said he forgot. I have yet to have a good experience with Malone’s Louisville and have been several times in hopes that they will improve. I will say that Harry’s upstairs is fantastic. You can order the same food with much better service.

    Waiter seemed overwhelmed. Took 25 minutes to get out initial drinks from the bar. Had to get the manager to check on out appetizer that took 25 minutes as well.

    Excellent food and service! However, it is too loud in there. I do not enjoy having to yell across the table all evening. Also, we had a reservation but still had to wait almost 15 minutes to be seated.

    I would recommend Malone's to a friend although I would suggest a dish other than a steak. I visit Malone's often and have found that for the value the steaks do not live up to the expectations, based on cost.

    Employees were very attentive & provided great service. Two of the orders were mixed up & each was served the others steak (both cooked differently). So that kind of messed up those 2 meals. A side dish was forgotten. The restaurant made up for it by bringing 2 side dishes. Food tasted great. But have been to their places locally that I would rate much higher.
