One of the best spots in San Francisco for tasty food and the cutest ambiance: @sfmariposas 🦋 Mariposas is a Peruvian eatery with pretty butterfly decor serving the tastiest dishes + drinks! What we love and order over and over again: 🐠 ceviche carrerillero— tasty ceviche with a variety of fresh seafood 🥩lomo saltado—stir fried beef tenderloin with onions, tomatoes, French fries and rice 🍦 arroz con leche— my favorite comfort dessert (rice pudding) 📍825 Mission Street San Francisco, CA 94103 ✨ perfect for intimate dining experiences and large parties! #sanfrancisco #sffoodie #peruvianfood #sfbayarea #foodvlogger #sf #sfeats #foodgram

Newest Peruvian restaurant in Soma 🦋🇵🇪 @sfmariposas is a garden oasis filled with greenery and butterflies. Emphasizing seafood and meat, must try dishes include their rotisserie chicken, lomo saltado, ceviche camarones, and beef empanadas. Excellent food with some interesting twists. I had an excellent salad with passionfruit dressing. A first for me. Another member of our party had a rice dish with an egg on top, he said it was perfect. I know we will be going back.

Everything was great except it was SO hot in the restaurant. No air conditioning and it was very hot, we were so uncomfortable we couldn’t enjoy our meal.

A great break from the world outside and what a bargain! We came in for lunch with a friend for lunch before a show at the Children's Activity Center. (They rent it out for plays, etc.) It was surprisingly not crowded. I'm not sure what the noise level would be when full. There were two televisions tuned into sports but the sound was low (or off) so it did not interfere. There is a bar and tables to accommodate couples or groups; also a separate meeting/family gathering room. We shared the Tropical Salad (an enchanting combination of mixed Greens, cherry tomatoes, avocado, green apple, and pineapple) and Arroz con Mariscos (like paella, only brighter tasking.) The food was fresh and the proportions generous. If we had added a protein to the salad it would have been a meal. Near Metreon, Moscone Center, and of course the Children's Activity Center.
