Market Broiler’s - MB Grille - Simi Valley
Center-cut Atlantic Salmon topped with a Lobster-crab cake, house potatoes, grilled asparagus, Lobster cream sauce, charred lemon, micro greens
Three coconut Shrimp, three golden Shrimp and a grilled Shrimp skewer, choice of two sides
The food was great - we had the $10 fish and chips dinner which was the perfect amount of food - no waste. Our server was very attentive and we appreciated how clean everything was.
Food and service was good, they were especially nice allowing us to be seated 20 minutes prior to our reservation
The service was good, the food just so-so. Fish and chips were a bit greasy. Parmesan crusted sand dabs were mostly crust and very little fish.
Always enjoy MB Grille! Their food is getting better and better (more consistently cooked properly). Always packed there, especially for happy hour, so you know they're doing things right!
Celebrated my husband’s birthday with family. We had an awesome time. Our server Lucas took excellent care of us. Food delicious !
Our server , riley was great. Very attentive. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. The food was good although I did not like the lobster cakes or the cheese potatoes. Lobster Mac and cheese, lobster tail, sea bass and clam chowder were all very good. We will go back.
Food was delicious and served quickly. My server Kevin was fantastic, definitely made our visit enjoyable! We would definitely recommend this location to everyone! Lava cake was scrumptious!
They got it half right. My Ahi was very good. My wife's scampi was ok, but the rice was cold and the vegatable was over cooked.
I think the Fishersman’s Stew is not as good as before and is a lot smaller disappointed.
Great menu selection of a wide variety of seafood. Wonderful service. Slightly on the noisy side but it was a Saturday night and crowded. Reservation was made and they sat us immediately upon our arrival. Very satisfied and will return.
Our server, Lucas, was excellent - the food was outstanding. We will return again soon.
We have eaten there many times. The food is consistently good. Usually the service is better than it was Friday.
Surprisingly Good. I'm from Boston and had the Cod dinner. It was excellent. Great Local Pilsner.
The big boy server with the black outfit and beard was nice, but slow and would never check up on case I needed anything. The server with the white outfit and beard was very helpful.
I got the two protein day of the week special. NY Steak and Salmon. It was very tasty. The vegetables had too much carrot over anything else.
Everything was OK once we got seated. When we got there, they were not busy. The person tasked with seating my wife and me tried to get us to take a booth that barely seated 2 people. My wife asked the person to let the manager know that we would not sit there. We were seated in a larger booth. I think this is some kind of initiation on new employees. The food and service was very good.
We booked a high top, but those tables are only in the bar and you can not reserve them, so a bit of a website glitch. They sat us in a side room with only about 8 tables which was perfect as it does get quite loud in the main room. My food came out lukewarm which is not acceptable, so I sent it back and had a new HOT meal within 5 minutes. Kudos.
What can I say- Just a bad night for us.... and you!. Starting with the hosts. No smiles. None at all. I was noticing if one them would just crack a smile, but nothing. I even tried to make small talk to get them to open up- NOTHING!. Anyways, we were sat and we had a reservation (through open table) with an occasion- my wife's birthday. So we ordered appetizers and drinks. My wife had the Mai Tai and everywhere you go, you get a slice of pineapple, cherry and orange with the drink or maybe an umbrella. But all she got was an orange slice. I ordered an old fashion and it was served table side- really cool! But no garnish. Usually an orange peel and cherry or something. So, I looked around and people who had Mai Tai's had the orange and pineapple slices and when I ordered my second Old Fashion it came with a cherry. Ok. What;s going on here?? Now, we ordered entrees. Wifey got the hamburger with no cheese and guess what? It came with cheese and now I'm waiting for her food to get fixed while my seabass is getting cold. Even if it was served in an individual cast iron dish. And I had to ask for bread. Doesn't that come with every entree? By now, she just wanted to get out. So, we ate and asked for the check. No mention of her birthday what so ever. So why would you ask if there was a special occasion when I booked the reservation?? Not even a complimentary ice cream. NOTHING!. I spent $120 and that' the service I get??? And I tipped the server $22 and my wife said 'You are crazy- this is poor service, why are you tipping so much?' The service was just mediocre, he did just the minimum just to get by. WOW service--- NOT AT ALL!!
I had to take her to another restaurant to get her favorite dessert. This was not what I expected when I am celebrating my wife's birthday. Did she feel special?? What do you think??
Great experience! Great service and great food! We must go back!
Service was slow and the food just ok, you would expect better value for your money.
It was a very enjoyable experience, especially for this time of year.
VERY BUSY HOLIDAY!!!! THE STAFF WAS AWESOME AND DID A TREMENDOUS JOB OF ACCOMMODATING ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS! EVERY TABLE WAS FULL.
This was a second chance as our first visit was terrible. The server was wonderful! The appetizers did not come out until we were almost finished with our meal. The meal was a Mahi Mahi Scallop and shrimp skewer combo. The shrimp skewers were ice cold and over cooked. The manager did take the appetizer off of the bill. I am hoping the third time is a charm..lol
Everything was good. Food took a while to come out and the shrimp was overcooked so it was dry.
Greeted nicely. Wait staff was in training, which was fine...she was pleasant. We were entertaining friends whom never ate there. Once our order was taken, we never saw the trainee again and the waiter hardly checked on us for refills or if we needed anything. A little disappointed. Restaurant not too busy and wait staff busy talking among themselves. Food was good...vegetables were overcooked. All in all a C+.
A comfortable restaurant with good food and service.
First time at this restaurant, we really enjoyed our experience. Delicious food and great service
Best happy hour! Great food, fun atmosphere, will be back!
Great service (Lukas), great food, great prices. Great dinner, party of 6, birthday party. Everyone happy & impressed. Will be back soon. No wait due to reservation
We had not been to this location before but have been familiar with the location in Orange, CA. Both are excellent, but we had a wonderful evening in Simi Valley and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Our server was very helpful and made the entire experience outstanding. We will return.
I rated our experience 4 stars mainly because of the noise. Our entrées were very good - halibut, and salmon he had to ask for a refill, which annoyed him.
We will likely be back.
Food always good. 30 year restaurant anniversary special was awesome!
The service was terrible. The initial host was okay. Nothing special. Brought to our table. Waiter finally came with water. The general feel was that staff did not care. Our order for three took a very long time. We had to ask for bread and repeatedly for more water. Not once did any staff drop by and ask how we were doing. The lobster was raw and not cooked. The sea bass was bland. My meal was good due to coconut shrimp on top of Mahi Mahi but the actual fish had no flavor. Prices are much too high for mediocre food and zero service. Nobody should have to ask over and over again for water. Upon leaving the host, which was not the same person that greeted us did not say a word although I did say good night. Just looked totally bored and not engaged. Truly disappointing. Also the water was warm. No ice provided in glasses and uncaring waiter who was extremely difficult to locate had a warm bottle of water to refill the glasses. I have had better service from fast food places.
The server was awful. She never checked on us, offered more drinks or dessert. Our first time there and will not go back.
Bring the cheese potatoes back permanently. We are bringing family next week because we feel the food and value are great.
Debbie, Thank you for the raving review! You will be pleased to know we are serving them all month long in October. The corporate chef and management team will be making a decision based of feedback on whether or not they will be returning permanently! Please feel free to contact us via the website and let us know how much you love them and enjoyed your visit at Simi! Jose Saldivar General Manaer
Can't wait to go back! And I'm planning a private party for next year.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit! We look forward to throwing you an excellent private event! Jose Saldivar General Manager
I’ve always enjoyed our nights out for a special dinner here. Food is better than good, as is the service. Having been in this field of service when I was younger, the only turn off at this visit was when we sat at our table I smelt mildew! And that comes from dirty wash cloth! Location had only been open an hour. Perhaps it was from the night before. Any female likes her kitchen fresh and clean...and the table she sits down to eat as well.
The food was over cooked. Since it was halibut it was expensive and not very good
My family took me there for my birthday. Most of the people in my party said that their fish was very dry and was cooked too much. The said that they would not eat there next year.
We always enjoy our experience at this dining establishment
