Thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic meal. I visited the restaurant with my three daughters we had different meals and all three would be happy to visit the market kitchen again. I have already recommended the place to a number of my friends.

Running in from the rain soaked Saturday evening we were pleasently greeted by staff and shown to the downstairs seating area. Although small, it didnt seem cramped and over stocked like most places can be. Plenty room to swing a cat. And space between surrounding tables.
Drinks menu was offered while we settled in followed by the food menu. Which was combined with 4 selections for each coarse. Not the usual 10 dishes plus specials you may find elsewhere. Keeping it small and simple suits me and many others, the selections where very appeasing if a little overpriced. I like that the menu changes every few days too. Hope they keep that up. Our starters where both delicious and extremely fresh. Mains just lacked that edge that the 1st dish had but still delightful enough to finish. Creme brule for dessert, I'll be honest I only like to smash the crispy topping. But I ate it all,
The staff are extremely friendly and stayed to chat with us after we had settled up. I've wanted to go here for months now but can never get in due to being booked up. We're already setting another visit over to try the newer menus they bring out. Hopefully some modern French twist on some traditional dishes.
Overall we had a really good night. Not too busy due to the weather I guess. Be back soon.

Service was great. I took the family and my little girl and all were warmly greeted and treated well. There is a great friendly feel to the place which makes everyone feel part of the community.

They change their menu daily based on Produce from market, choice of 3 starters, mains & desserts at lunch time, expanded to choice of 4 in the evening.

Lunchtime menu is exceptionally good value for money, evenings a little more pricey, but worth it, the food quality is excellent.

The service is attentive and friendly.

Probably best to book, especially at weekends.

Staff very friendly,menu choice limited,food was good but considering the size of menu should have been excellent ( one fish was over cooked and the pudding was ok). With a daily change in menu you should always find something different on each visit .

Sorry. I would not recommend this restaurant. First of all we had to ask for the background music to be turned down as it was too loud and we couldn't hear our friends speak. The food was expensive for what it was. The food was only warm. I would not have wrote a review as I would not wish to cause any problems for the owners, however you asked and made it easy to respond.

Wow! What an authentic French restaurant. The food and service was exquisite.
As you can see by the pictures, the food is prepared to perfection and the taste is beyond anything you can imagine.
We said we will come back as the menu keeps changing regularly.
I'm glad that I chose this place and will never regret that decision.
The price of the meal and the drinks were not expensive.
If your looking for a meal to satisfy your tastebuds, look no further than this restaurant.

The food was delicious well served and well presented all 3 courses was so good even my fussy hubby was impressed.

Not very busy when we arrived at 7pm but started to fill a little later.
Took a while for our drinks order to be taken on arrival although to be fair there was a large party being attended to at the time.
The food was very good although my husband who is a big eater did not feel the portions were big enough and would have appreciated some veg with the main course and a bread roll with the soup starter.
The menu is changed regularly to prevent getting bored with the same meals if you visit often

I have been looking to book this restaurant for a long time, but have never been able to get in before. Now I know why, the food is absolutely delicious.

Booked this at the last minute for a weeknight evening meal with my husband and were very pleased with are choice. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. I'm a fan of places that change their menu every day - I guess if you're the sort of person who likes to decide what they're going to have in advance by looking online, it might not be for you. We were really pleased with the food. It was our first visit but we will definitely be coming back.

A true pleasure from the moment we entered to the moment we left. The food was excellent, the staff very helpful, good wine, an altogether enjoyable evening.

Tremendous food attentive staff reasonably priced. To me a small choice on a menu says the food is going to be prepared to order and taste really good I wasn't wrong.

We went to celebrate my daughter and her partner buying their first home. We started with prosecco! All had starter, then red with with cocovan was exceptional. Finished with a crumble and desert wine all foe just over £100 exceptional value and will definitely be going back.

Market Kitchen is one of the nicest restaurants i have been to in a long time!
The french-inspired cuisine was excellent, along with the service and friendliness of the staff.
Would definitely recommend to couples and small groups looking for something a little different and special
