Martine's River House
Restaurant week. Food is delicious.
I come into town every few months for business and when we have time to grab dinner Martine's is my go to. The staff very helpful, the food is excellent, great wine choices and the view is the best. If we come up for fun, nothing better than outside on the deck for lunch !
Nice ambience, good menu selections. Decent food
This was probably the largest piece of salmon I've ever eaten and every bite was delicious. The baby artichokes were a compliment to the lemon and feta, all around it was great. Would gladly come back!
Beautiful view if the Delaware, delicious food and fabulous service. A perfect combination for a relaxing weekend lunch. One of our favorites.
My friend’s 50th birthday. And I ask the server there’s no desert or any cup cake for his birthday. And he said “you guys didn’t order for desert and he said sorry “no”. On his 50th birth bday . Please LGBTQ friends , trust me, please don’t go to this place!!!!’
We were lucky to get an early dinner reservation on Valentine’s Day weekend. Although it was not our first choice, we enjoyed the meal.
Great views overlooking the Delaware River. Cute old place in the heart of New Hope.
Great food great atmosphere for a nice Valentines evening
It was the Valentines prefix menu. We had reservations. They were out of many of the choices. My wife had a salad that was inedible -how do you do that? I had a tasty oyster stew but it was curdled. Next course was good then was the main course The pork tenderloin was cooked to death it was dry and tough. For the high price. We were expecting much better prepared, restaurant quality food. Our waiter Graham was rude just grabbed my wife’s full plate of salad and didn’t ask if it was okay. Had to flag him down to get water and he just dumped and ran. I would never go back or recommend this place and we told the owners and all the guests at the B&B where we stayed.
Over priced for quality of the food in meats. Pork was tough as well as lamb.
Great to be on the water and interesting menu. First time here the food and service was superb. This time one out of three of us was happy..meat more well done than ordered, salad was so-so, soup too thick. Only one server and she was a bit unattentive and the kitchen seemed off. Will try again, but hope they get their act more together.
Amazing service and amazing food. The view was also excellent.
Outstanding experience from beginning to end. The hostess invited us to sit at the quaint bar and enjoy a cocktail, the bartender made excellent drinks, our waiter was fun and well informed, the food was fantastic and creative!
Nice environment very Pleasant and friendly And outgoing servers Erica was awesome food was great
We were so disappointed as last time we were here, the food was excellent. The menu is rather limited and the food not better than fair. The setting is beautiful with views of the river and Lambertville. The wine list needs improvement.
Graham is amazing !!! Really appreciate his personalized service and help with the menu. We will be back!
While there's a variety of quality wines on their list, the wine was served far too early compared with the food, which we ordered prior to another group yet received later, arrived with potatoes possessing the strong taste of their walk-in refrigerator and the stubbornness of having been microwaved more than once. The meat (a plain steak--) was boring and overcooked, barely bleeding, though it was supposed to be rare, and was 1/2 the size of the same menu item as another guest's order. Desserts were, however, enjoyable.
BIGGEST complaint...... NO Parking for this location! SHOULD make customer's aware of that!
Arrived... TOLD no parking.. COULD use valet parking for lot attached to Bucks County Playhouse..
for O N L Y ... $20.00 ! OR park on street.. A JOKE in New Hope... JUST try to find a space! WAS
raining.. NEEDed to use umbrella.. STILL had to walk to restaurant..from parking lot mentioned above!
My wife wasn't happy.. and said. "WE will NOT patronize this restaurant.. AGAIN! SOOOoooooo ......
guess we WON'T go there again!
Seriously one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long while. Being that my wife and I were treating ourselves to a belated anniversary dinner I had made a couple special requests when I made the reservation online, (a small bouquet of flowers and a couple cocktails waiting for us at the table when we arrived). Within 15 minutes I got a call from one of the managers to go over some of the details. When we arrived the flowers and drinks were there along with a card saying “happy anniversary”. Our server, Graham, took our experience up from there making our night a much needed delightful getaway for a few hours. The drinks, the food, the service and everything else was beyond exceptional. We will most definitely be returning very soon. Thank you Martine’s and Graham for an amazing dining experience.
We ordered the chicken and pasta dishes. We found both somewhat lacking in flavor. To be fair, the service wS outstanding and people really come here for the view, which is lovely.
Anniversary! 5 years. First meal of our honeymoon was at Martine’s!
Perfect setting for any time of the year - Just a great place....
Very nice atmosphere. Wait staff was prompt. The pasta was watery, the portions were small and the price for two (water only for beverages) came to almost $83.00. Disappointing.
Lovely dinning room, great service. Limited entrees but there was something for everyone. Will be back.
Lovely atmosphere seated by the window with river views! Bronzino and carrot & beet salad w/lentil were both excellent! Our waiter was wonderful and the bartender made my husband the perfect martini!
Sorry , But there was no Ambiance as there were almost No People in the restaurant, Granted it was a Monday but we ate out the next night at another restaurant in the area and it was packed. Im also not sure how freshly the food was prepared as the meals that my wife and I had were just warm and seemed reheated as opposed to freshly made right out of the oven . Will most definitely not be back when we do return to New Hope/ Lambertville as there are so many better options available
Great service and terrific small plates to share. Wine list also great.
Menu has become more limited, and not as appetizing. Also very salty.
Great food! But the best part of the night was the server. He was so awesome and very attentive! He had an amazing understanding of the menu, including cocktails, and was simply a delight! Don't lose that one!
Our waitress, Natalie, was very attentive.
The menu is limited to 7 appetizers and 5 to 7 entrees depending on the night. This can be quite appealing as some restaurants with 20 or more selections can be confusing. Also, I prefer the smaller menu if the chef specializes in particular cuisines. My meal started with grilled octopus in a ginger aioli sauce. Very good. My entrée was pasta in poutanesca sauce. All was prepared and served properly.
The prices are a little pricey but this is New Hope, PA. The prices are in the range of most restaurants in the borough. Martine's has a patio which sits right on the Delaware River. Very busy in warm weather.
This restaurant is definitely worth trying.
Excellent setting, food is OK, service is very good. We were there for lunch. Salmon - tasty, well prepared. Stake - very well done. Salad - just OK. I would suggest sitting on the outside terrace to enjoy the view and nice weather.
The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. We were seated by the window overlooking the river. Very romantic. The menu is small but with plenty of wonderful options. I had the scallops which were perfectly cooked, tender and sweet and flavorful. They were in a delightful curry sauce with fresh vegetables. Loved every bite. My husband had the prime rib special which he said was excellent! Drinks were creative and substantial. Try the ginger drink! Didn’t have dessert but saw some of them. They looked amazing. It was our first visit but will definitely be back. Great date night with the hubby.
Awesome food. Great service. We will go again and again!
Very disappointing on so many levels. Perhaps lunch is not the best time to assess the quality of a restaurant but the food was very mediocre and the place was empty.... service was fine.
The food was good, the ambiance on the river is always great, but the noise level was extremely loud. I could not hear my dinner partner across the table. There was a birthday party that took up the entire restaurant except for a few tables. They should have closed the restaurant for the party.
Disappointed when I go to Martines. It could be noisy and hectic outside but you step inside and it’s quiet relaxing with a beautiful Riverview.
The food is fabulous and Martin is a doll!
Tony the bartender was great and the food was awesome. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!
