Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and gave great recommendations. The food was exceptionally delicious! We were told to try the cream of garlic soup by multiple people, it did not disappoint. They're gnocchi was delicious! Looking forward to going back again!

From the initial greeting from the hostess, to our friendly and attentive server, to the chef who wanted to make sure we were getting what we expected, the customer service was outstanding. We were seated in a choice table for two next to the warmth of the fireplace. My wife and I had reviewed the menu on-line and had a good idea of what we wanted: the roasted half duck, along with spicy mussels and the house salad. The duck was superb! I still had room for the dessert, a delicious chocolate cake with an espresso.
We were surprised by a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely meal on valentines Saturday. The beef was tasty and well seared although inconsistently cooked. The drinks were excellent, the service was attentive without being intrusive and the garlic soup - our course - was amazing.

Beautiful Inn with delicious food. Doug is an incredible chef and a gracious host. Their cream of garlic soup is an absolute must. Laura was a stellar server and Jay can mix up an exquisite cocktail.

I posted on FaceBook to my friends after our dinner. I received many comments and a few questions. I have taken family and close friends to Mary's over the years - they always remember the experience and food. Dining at Mary's is always rememberal!

Very nice place and nice people. Food was VERY good - but not "Oh my GOD this is AMAZING!" good.
Went on Valentines day with their prix fixe menu. Understand it's a special event, and wasn't looking for a "value" meal, but the prices were near about double normal and the "5" course meal, while very good and not skimpy, wasn't enough to make us walk away feeling totally full. Looking forward to trying their regular menu.

Valentine’s dinner, romantic and wonderful.

We went to Mary's for the special Valentine's Day dinner. The menu was superb. So many delicious things to choose from. We were warm and cozy next to the big old fireplace. We enjoyed our meal from beginning to end. The service as usual at Mary's was impeccable and the ambiance delightful.

Great menu, food, and ambience as always. Doug, the chef and owner for 40 years, came out and talked with us about the cooking trips to Italy he runs. The menu changes often and was excellent and is now offering quite a few gluten free choices

We have been going to Mary's at Baldwin Creek for the last decade and have noticed that its menu and individual dishes have been getting better and better, to the point where we believe that now it is one of the very best restaurants in Vermont. The service is excellent, the ambience superb and the food, wines and drinks leave nothing to be desired.

We had a terrific and memorable dinner at Mary's. Atmosphere is cozy, unpretentious, elegant -- with a crackling fire in the hearth and top-notch friendly service. We just love the owners, wait staff and bartender: They always greet us with a smile and good conversation. Food and drink is outstanding, with delicious farm-to-table ingredients and always something new on the menu. Highly recommended!

Visiting Mary's on a snowy winter night is the quintessential Vermont winter scene. Snow frosting trees, lights outlining the house, a snap and crackle of a fireplace beside your table, fine wine and wonderful dinner all create quite an enchanting evening out at Mary's .

Plenty of delicious gluten free and vegan menu options are available. It is nice to see such menu items created as such from their inception rather than having to add, substitute or subtract something from the dish when ordering.

Mary's is the best! Every time we go the food is outstanding; fresh, full of interesting flavors, and not too heavy. The menu is always changing with seasonal ingredients so we like to go often as to not miss out on any of the creative dishes! The atmosphere is elegant yet homey, we always feel welcome and warm. The staff is wonderful, it feels like dining with old friends who make you laugh and treat you to delicious food. Mary's is truly a gem and we feel so lucky to have it close to our home. Do not miss out!!

Was wonderful. Just happened to be next to a large family with young children who were normally loud and having fun.

The Christmas decorations were outstanding. All the food was excellent and presented beautifully. As usual the staff was friendly, quick, and added to what will now be a Christmas Eve tradition.

We always go to Mary's for just an evening out or for celebrations like our daughter's wedding in January 4 years ago. Just to drive from Burlington and see the Inn lit up against the snow is a visual delight. The food is always excellent; selected from local farmers and suppliers and prepared fresh and delicious every time. Doug is a master in the kitchen and Linda is always the most gracious hostess. Martha and Laura, their two daughters, make the best cocktails and serve them with a taste of adventure every time. We have been going to Mary’s since the 1970’s and it is our most favorite venue for just a quiet dinner for two or an evening out with great friends. Don’t miss this gem set in the countryside of Vermont

We love this place and is our 2nd visit during the Christmas season and looking forward to another stay. It feels like home all dressed up for the Christmas Holiday. We were visiting our family for the weekend and stayed here last year and this year as a kick off for our celebration! Great staff, food and we totally enjoyed our room.

Great food, great service and love the setting

Excellent, as always!! Setting was awesome, the food was excellent and the entire environment was special. Felt like being at a big family Thanksgiving dinner though we simply had a table for 2.

Two friends and I went to Mary's for Wednesday burger and beer night. The burgers and the beer were great, but the cocktails and time spent with the wonderful Laura Mack were the true delights of the evening!

As always a wonderful evening dining with family. We love the atmosphere, the fireplace, and of course the fine food. A very special restaurant.

We went to Mary's to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The pace of the meal was perfect, the staff professional yet very friendly, and the food was exceptional. It was a romantic dining experience that was perfect for the occasion. We even booked our next reservation before leaving. We highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or their fun burger night on Wednesdays!

Excellent Sunday brunch! Friendly, efficient service. Plain buttermilk pancakes (topped with locally produced maple syrup) among the best I've had in a long time - in restaurants and at home.

We had a wonderful fall drive from BTV to Mary's and a delightful evening! Plenty of delicious food, great conversation, laughter and probably the best server in recent memory. She was personable and offered great suggestions, as well as some very funny exchanges with us. A great time.

Not our first time but a particularly good dinner with friends. If you have not tried Mary's, go. If you have but have not been back in a while, go back.

Great food, friendly staff, Linda and Doug run a wonderful place! We had our wedding dinner here 12 years ago and come back on our anniversary every year!

Totally delightful evening with delicious food and the best cocktail!

Nice looking place and locale. Could use some sprucing up however as there were cobwebs and dust bunnies where there should not have been any. The bar area was warm and inviting but there was stuff all over the bar surface cluttering it up. Very nice and accommodating bartender who ended up being our server as well and she was great. I had the crab cakes appetizer and the duck for my main course. The crab cakes were under done and not lightly browned on the outside as they should be. The duck was good but a bit dried out for duck. Duck is known for being moist and juicy. Not so in this case. The rest of the people in my party said their food was good but nothing special. We went on a Thursday night so maybe the chef was off duty. For dessert I ordered the pumpkin cheesecake which was good but tiny. It looked like they gave me less than half a slice. pretty bad overall I would not return. Especially since they are charging 5 star prices for a 2.5 star effort. Go eat at the Bobcat Cafe instead. Better prices and far better food.

Cream of Garlic Soup was exquisite. We should have stopped at that. Wait staff was excellent.

Mary's at Baldwin Creek was excellent as always. We've eaten there when in Vermont and its always delicious. The food is well prepared and the vegetables are excellent. Chef Doug puts his own take on old classics. The staff is very gracious and welcoming. The restaurant is in an old homestead nestled at the base of a large hill/small mountain which is covered in the changing trees. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vermont.

would go again and next time stay at the inn. It was a beautiful spot and great meal.
