   The food is incredible. The bone marrow and pork belly tapas were excellent. We fell in love with every bite of the Paella, it tasted like home and I am not from Spain. The chicken was flavorful, the rice had a perfect texture although, I did miss the signature crisp/toasted bottom, the shrimp tasted like we lived next to the ocean and the chorizo was definitely Spanish chorizo. We opted to have dessert, which we never do, and the bread pudding which was recommended by our excellent server was an incredible finish to an amazing meal. The service was excellent. Our seating was right by the window, at the base of the staircase and the ambiance of the restaurant was excellent. A truly elevated date night experience. Can’t wait to go back!

   Superb tapas. We sampled quite a few and all were excellent. The bacon wrapped dates were particularly good, as was the bread service with delicious spreads. Our server was very pleasant and helpful in making menu selections. We will definitely return with friends.

   They need to stay with what they know and what they know (tapas) is GREAT. The Mother’s Day dinner (a completely different menu) was horrible …… I don’t even know where to begin. The best thing was the cocktail (tribeca) and our waitress (who was a pleasure) got us an order of the bacon wrapped dates. Everything else was really bad.

   We were here for their Mother's Day prix fixe. It was interesting. I love the location and the servers were very kind. The problems however, were quite apparent. With several courses (were were only given the choice of the prix fixe which was fine), they were served in random fashion. Our first course was delivered and then abruptly 5 mins after, our main courses were brought to the table (there were 2 items that should have been delivered prior to the main). They took the main back and brought out the other items after a very long delay. When we finally received our mains (steak and salmon) I do believe they were kept under the warming light until we were ready and didn't look "fresh". I returned my steak and they then delivered a freshly cooked meal and it was delicious. We ordered the same dessert but they came out in different flavors and the server did not know why. The menu and staff were very friendly but delivery was ill-timed and very slow. I would not recommend a prix fix at this restaurant.

   Mas Tapas makes for a very fancy brunch date destination. The service was stellar and the food quality and originally was fantastic. The price was up there, so it will only be an occasional venue for us, but we will certainly visit again.

    Disappointing experience and this restaurant doesn’t deserve a higher rating than mediocre at best (two star MAX). Food was served tepid because NOTHING is freshly made. Tried a few Tapas: grilled Brussel Sprouts were bland & oily: dates wrapped in bacon were good but again again not freshly made and my paella could have been better prepared by opening a can of Campbell’s Tomato Soup, tossing in some rice, a little precooked chicken, cardboard chorizo and a few shrimp. Truly a GLOBAL insult to fine Spanish cuisine! Places like this give ABQ restaurants a bad wrap. There are far finer places to dine in the city: go and explore, you won’t be disappointed.     Very happy with the service and the food. The Pork Bellies were amazing. They are nice shareable plates. We just did several plates and that was plenty. If you are a big eater you may want to do more. The wings are a full order and delicious

    The french toast here is so good that I no longer order it elsewhere and I no longer make my own. Steak and enchiladas delighted two in our party. Blue corn pancakes were delightful.

    I love this venue and hotel. A little disappointed in the Easter menu. In years past they had an incredible spread out in the main lobby. Hopefully 🤞 it will be that way again.

    The paella was terrible. I love paella, but this was really, really disappointing for $36. If it had been, say, $8 at the airport, I wouldn't complain but it was $36 at a nice restaurant. It was pasty and seriously overcooked as though it had been heated up from a can. On the other hand, another person had the chicken wings which were excellent. The staff was very polite and did their job but they should be embarrassed serving that paella, especially at that price.

    We were very disappointed in the quality of the food, and the lack of change in the menu. We discovered Mas Tapas in the middle of the covid epidemic and the food was outstanding. Menu has not changed very much but the quality of the flavor and cooking is doesnt compare. The service was excellent.

    Service staff was great, the food not so much. The quality of the food and flavor/taste should reflect the price. Sadly the food was way overpriced and not at all reflective of the hype. Sangria was best part of the meal.

    Don’t go if you have any dietary restrictions. We had to order one dish three times because I can’t have spicy foods. The best thing was the honey bacon wrapped dates with Marcona almonds and goat cheese. Very spendy, but delicious. Also the blue corn sour dough bread is amazing. The tapas plates are huge, except the dates. The waiter was very nice but brand new which I believe is the reason the dishes were wrong. It was my birthday celebration and they didn’t offer a free dessert which was unusual. The place was dead for a Saturday. I will try it again just for the honey bacon dates!!

    The food that was served was absolutely delicious if not just a bit expensive. It was really crowded that nights at the bar was slow and getting our drinks to our table. And the wait staff was rushing around the room which made me a little uneasy. But other than that it was surprisingly good.

    Used to be, and still describes itself, as a tapas restaurant but does not now actually offer tapas, in the sense of small plates, or even have a Spanish orientation to the menu. Rather than tapas-sized dishes they now just offer entree-sized (or raciones as the term is used in Spain). Even the red wine by the glass list had wines from almost everywhere but Spain. The food quality seems to have deteriorated greatly in recent years. The Black Pig Secreto was tasty but not much to it; grilled pork on toast with onion jam. The Ensalada de Espana was a forgettable below par mixed salad. The mezze platter was the biggest disappointment; a ton of pita bread, a couple bland spreads, and some feta. That's it. Very sad. It used to be a great dish, with lots of varied tastes and great eye appeal (I remember the beet-walnut spread, the lavash crackers). What happened? Mas used to be expensive but good. The food showed lots of care and skill and they had a nice array of real tapas. Now it's just expense and the food feels thrown together and underwhelming.

    The portion size for tapas was huge, so we ended up canceling half of our order. The nouse from the wedding upstairs combined with poor acoustics in the dining room made conversation difficult.

    Our party of four enjoyed our dinner. We sampled many tapas plates & entrees. Everything was great with the exception of the paella. I know I could have prepared a better version at home. Being a Spanish themed restaurant, I think this entree definitely could use some work. Drinks were good, ambience, etc. We’ll visit again, but not order one of our most favorite dishes here. Oh I should add the chocolate cake was just so-so, too - so sorry to report.

    Parking was an issue. Usually we are able to utilize the valet parking but we were told it was not available. This was unfortunate and made find a parking spot an issue. This could have been avoided by advanced notice or being able to use valet parking.

    We both had paella which was a really bad idea. I lived in Valencia, Spain for three years so I am probably prejudiced. The chef needs to get a good Spanish cookbook. It was AWFUL! The desserts, however, were very good. I wish we had ordered the tapas. On paper they sounded good. To be fair we would give it another try—without paella!

    Whenever an evening concert is playing at the Kiva or Kimo, this is our to go place eatery nearby. Good food and selection.     We thought the food was authentic Spanish flavors and the service was spot on. We were also pleasantly surprised when they offered a local New Mexico wine which paired deliciously with our dinner. For us the highlight was the mushrooms and chorizo. Wow! Amazing!!
