My hubby and I dined at Matchbox - One Loudon for our anniversary. The waitstaff was very attentive, the food was fabulous, and it made our anniversary very special. The only drawback was the noise level at times made it difficult to hold a conversation. Even though it was very noisy at times, we’ll definitely be going back to enjoy Matchbox in the near future.

Our waiter Joan was terrible. It took him forever to wait on us and then when he did he disappeared for awhile. Then we ordered dessert and it wasn’t what we ordered we ask for white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and we got plain and then we ordered salted Carmel waffle but no Carmel on it. Very disappointed this time at matchbox

The restaurant is large, so there is plenty of seating. However, it is obviously understaffed. We were seated immediately after we entered the restaurant, it took almost 10 minutes for a waiter to stop by to take drink orders. Then, another 20 minutes no drink at all. We noticed that the waiter actually has to get to the back of the bar to make drinks himself. Then, another 20 minutes for the food to arrive. I say the food was ok. But the service was not up to my standard. The price of the food wasn't very low also. My overall experience with this restaurant is that it is a highly-priced low-end poor service restaurant.

The steaks were REALLY fatty, the waitress mostly ignored us, the noise was overwhelming, and we were getting the nasty stink-eye from the hostess when we stayed into the dinner seating and she couldn’t turn the table. It was Mother’s Day. Try harder

Went to order...was out of the wine and entree I chose. Started over. Simple order one salad with dressing on the side (nice looking salad but came with dressing on, and lots of it), one pesto pizza (that was really good) and one large meatball with pasta as an add on. Plate looked really good, jumbo meatball with marinara but as my husband started to eat it he quickly saw that underneath the pasta was 1/2 inch of cream, no red sauce, just cream. He would have never ordered it if he knew it was ladden with cream! The menu does say an add on to the meatball is "pasta with sauce" but never have either of us questioned a pasta sauce with a meatball being anything other than a red sauce, unless noted. Anyway, the food/drink was a bust, waiter (and trainee) nice. They did remove the pasta from our bill which was very nice but I don't think we saw Matchbox at it's best. Atmosphere is really fun though.

The food was fantastic, as usual, especially the Miso Salmon which was to die for! The service is a bit of an issue these days, even when they're not busy. And why do you ask if reservations are for a special occasion if there's zero acknowledgement of the occasion when you finally have a reason to check that box? Would still recommend since the food is always tops and the reason we keep coming back.

The timing of the delivery of our food was disappointing. Within a few minutes of delivery of our appetizer, our entrées were presented, which forced us to rush through the appetizer because we were concerned that our entrées would get cold. That’s not a pleasant dining experience.

Our server has been there for quite some time and this was the second time we had him recently. Each time he has forgotten things (asked for several different times). These simple things like a cup of ice, tea, sweeteners and salad should be readily available and make a simple meal very frustrating. We just want to enjoy eating out and don't mind paying and tipping well. Please, learn some organization skills!

The pitcher of Sangria is a complete scam. Advertised as serving 4 but it only serves two. The pitcher filled 3 glasses almost half way and then you have to watch other customers get full glasses when they order a single instead of a pitcher. Dynamite shrimp is the oiliest batter I’ve had in my life. Slime. Fries pretty standard. Sangria was amazing. Cocktails were awesome. Friendly waitress.

We are frequent Matchbox diners at OneLoudoun. Yesterday afternoon we were free to go mid-day and when we saw that Social Hour began at 3:00, decided to sit in the bar. It was wonderful. We ordered from the Social Hour menu at special pricing - mini hamburgers w/fried, steamed potsticker (which were delicious), hot chicken bites with mambo sauce, and a very refreshing Cucumber Basil Collins. We'll be back for another mid-day treat very soon!

The crowd was loud. There was a large party with bout six kids in the back room and they were loud and ran around the tables. Then add a teenage birthday party and the mix was not cool! We had to ask for silverware after our food arrived and then the server said we had to write down our credit card number because the system was down. That is really not the thing to tell someone once the bill comes!

It was great service. Lindsay was a great server. Her attitude and service was great. Raymundo was wonderful checking on us and making sure everything came out correct. It was nice and calm environment.

got to restaurant with reservation, arrived early and was asked to wait even though there were many empty tables, finally got seated, waited a long unnecessary amount of time for server to arrive, this was completely unacceptable, order food, waiter delivers food without asking if i needed anything else, never returned to my table to ask if i needed any thing, had to flag down another server to get refill on my drink, finally got my check after a long wait, left and will never return to this restaurant. (by the way the food was great, just sad the service was so bad)

Father daughter dance night with dinner before. It was our first time just the two of us. Service was great, food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back, thanks for helping make the night so special!!
