Matisse Tavern & Grill

First time there. Went for New Year’s Eve. Great restaurant great food great service. Victor our waiter was fantastic. Gave great recommendations and fantastic service. Only reason I gave ambience only four stars was because it was cold outside. Not the fault of the restaurant just something to be aware of if you are going to eat outside and sub freezing weather (I think it was 27 degrees outside ha). Will definitely go back. Loved the place

Amazing food and service! The staff were all very professional and went out of their way to make it a great experience, even with the COVID-19 restrictions. I would highly recommend for a dinner reservation!

Food was amazing

My sister and I had a great experience at Matisse! We live down the street and tried it for the first time. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. The service was great... our server was wonderful, she suggested things we might like and even offered to take our picture when she noticed us taking a few. She really made us feel welcome! We will for sure be back and recommend to other people in the area.

Amazing!!! The atmosphere could not have been more perfect... It’s a down stairs joint which for some reason makes it very cozy like... the music was chill, the bar was awesome and the meal was what you would expect from a high end restaurant not a tavern. Price point t was perfect and the service was outstanding! So far the best restaurant we’ve eaten at since we arrived.

Me and my friend came here for dinner and drinks and the service was great! Alex the owner of the restaurant was super nice and was always checking in on us. We loved the cocktails that we ordered too! We would definitely come back. Great service!

Checked this place out during restaurant week and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and we went on Wednesday so glasses of wine were $6. It was a great time at a decent price.

The service that we received was awesome even though our waitress was the only server that night. She was attentive and very nice. The calamari appetizer was perfect. The salmon from the Restaurant Week menu was different, but good. I distinctly remember that everything came out popping hot and delicious. We will return for more cocktails and great food.

We visited this restaurant as part of restaurant week. Had the lamb chops seafood dish. It was amazing. The calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly...very tender. Also enjoyed the shrimp tacos which were super tender and juicy. I didn't expect to have such a great meal given the bar room setting but was pleasantly surprised. Well done Matise!

Service was outstanding! We had a play to get to and they made sure we got everything quickly so we could make it on time. Food is always good too. We got the sweet precision and soft collision burger and it was delicious.

I had a great time at Matisse. Lively atmosphere. The service was awesome. We started with the cuban spiced won-ton and cauliflower, both really good and I tried the Surf and Turf, great. They make their own ginger beer for Moscow Mules and we really enjoy it. Will be back soon.

Everything was excellent. Great service. I had a couple Moscow Mules made with their homemade ginger beer and for sure was the best mule I ever had. Everyone else tried different craft cocktails and said they were great. Food was awesome, too. Will be back for sure.

Love this place. Great food - great service. Lovely outdoor patio and something to eat for everyone - very reasonably priced.

If I lived in the area, I would go there weekly. Food was prepared with love and detail. All plates at our table had their own unique flavor.

Too loud. Except for benches against the wall, remainder of seats had no backs, like stools. Hard to believe they couldn’t afford ordinary chairs. Food is great but ambience/noise level was not. I used paper napkin pieces for ear plugs.

Restaurant menu was on point! Everything we had was delicious! Went on Sunday night at 930pm and it was pretty empty. Our waitress was a doll...will be visiting again!

We went for restaurant week and each of the 3 courses were a good value. We started with the baked brie (a small round) and mussels. The second course we picked the salmon and the surf and turf. They were both good portions including well-cooked asparagus and potatoes. Chocolate volcano cake and bananas foster were good desert choices.

The service was great. The food was very good, lot's of options.
