Overall experience was very good they are slightly understaffed which is understandable, we will dine there again in the near future

My family and I went to Magid Shore House for Christmas Eve and absolutely loved the place! The food, the service, the drinks (highly recommend getting a Coconut Mojito), and the place itself were all amazing! Thank you to Alejandro for the great service, definitely coming back!!

The service was great and the food was tasty.

As always, the food was fabulous. The calamari, yucca, and Brazilian shrimp are my favorite. We chose to dine outside and the staff put the outside music on just for us.

The food was very good, the service was great. We liked the atmosphere. We can’t comment on noise level because the tables are thinned out due to Covid. We were excited to find this quality restaurant in Long Branch. We will return.

We have been there a few times now and never disappointed. Amazing food and drinks and the ambiance and service are great. Highly recommend.

Great food and drinks the service was on point

Bouquet, our server, was wonderful and the food and drinks were delicious.

We love dining at Matiz in West End Long Branch. The food is always delicious from the appts to the entrees and finally the best Flan for dessert. Inside dining was lovely and they had good fresh air coming through to help with the COVID rules while dining inside. We are already looking forward to another dining experience at Matiz.

Food was served warm and possibly undercooked. Taste was less than average, and unfortunately was not Spanish influenced. I would compare it to diner food.
Hostess was pleasant and servers were less than attentive. At 6 pm, I’d cringe if they were busy.

Excellent attentive staff, varied menu and drinks. We shared yuca fritters and arepas with beef and chicken toppings; ordered the Bandeja platter and shredded beef dinner. Finished off with flan. All very good and nice portion.

Expansive menu that is well presented and delicious. Great ambiance and excellent service combined to top off this outstanding experience.

The menu had lots of interesting options to choose from, including vegetarian and pescatarian dishes. The staff was so accommodating, and the food was delicious! Fresh guacamole was great. We also enjoyed the red snapper, veggie paella, veggie quesedilla, and spinach/mango salad. The drinks were refreshing and delicious as well.

The interior was very nice, service was a bit slow for not being that busy on a Saturday, food was just ok nothing more nothing less but I feel like it’s a bit pricey for what I got.

This place is truly a hidden gem in West End. The food is delicious the drinks are incredible and the service is wonderful. You will not be disappointed!

Server seemed very very busy but was nice and did what he could. Food was good, drink was made incorectly overall experience wasnt bad, will be back.

I am not the type of person to write bad reviews but what really bothered us was that the server gave us someone eles's food. He came back 5 mins later, picked up the food from our table and gave it to the table next to us which is NOT ok. Also, he had a mask on but it was below his nose. What's the point in wearing a mask then??? Service was def very slow when it wasnt even busy and he never came to check up on us. However, food was delicious.

The food and service was excellent. Gave only three stars for ambiance due to the fact that there was no inside dining and we had to sit on the sidewalk right near a traffic light and had to watch and hear all of the loud noise of the traffic. Will definitely go back next year and hopefully by then we will be able to enjoy the inside.

Food was delicious ! Staff was amazing. The corn cake appetizer and tostones were amazing.

Delicious food and beautiful presentation.

The food was excellent and while the servers were extremely friendly, we did feel neglected. It took 45 minutes from the time we were for someone to come back and take our order for our main entree. It then took a bit long for the food to actually come out. Once we got the food though we were extremely satisfied.

Food was good but service was lacking. We were never asked to refresh our drinks if our food was ok and were never offered dessert. We had to wait a very long time to receive the check.

It was awesome! Amazing drinks, the manchego croquetas were insane and the vegetable pallea was great for vegans/vegetarians. Great experience overall. Will be returning!

The food was good here and the pricing was right. Had seats outside which was good social distancing. The only negative was that our waiter took forever to stop by our table. Took almost 60 minutes to get our entrees after the appetizer came out. No explanation why. Other customers got there food before we did. And it took a long time to get our check. Hopefully it was just because we had a bad waiter.

Not very flavorful food.

The food was very tasty and I enjoyed very much. My boyfriend ordered a chicken dish the menu said grill but he thinks it was bake so he was a bit disappointed about that. The waiter was okay but not overly friendly. Side note this visit was under the Coronavirus time so we ate outside and the tables were on the sidewalk.

The drinks were great, nice kick but not too strong. The seafood dishes we had were cooked perfectly. I would definitely go back.

Valentine’s Day

Waited for two hours before our waitress came over and asked what was missing. Then asked for the check and she never came back.

Came here for a Sunday lunch with girlfriends. The place is beautiful and has potential. However...the food and drinks were mediocre. Thr appetizers and entree were a miss. Lacking flavor and overdone with salt. The drinks were very sweet with little alcohol. The mimosa was really just orange juice and the mojitos were, I don’t even know how to explain it.
