Creamed Spinach and Artichokes
I love onion soup, but theirs wasn’t very good. We were in a rush and it took awhile to order and pay the check. Although the food came out right away.
We had a wonderful dinner at McCall's. Our server was excellent and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back!
Very good food and excellent service. McCalls is consistently good with all of their menu items.
Worst service ever here and it was not our first visit. Waiter took our order and never returned to the table until summoned after the meal was complete. Server manager and others walked past several times and didn’t offer anything. We basically ordered our food ate and left. I did bring to manager attention and he covered our drink orders but I will likely not be returning. I actually liked this place before this visit. Ruined my husbands birthday dinner! 🙁
Excellent service and great food.
Food was very lukewarm. 2 members of our party having seafood had an upset stomach almost immediately after the meal. Those who had steak were not impressed with the quality of the meat. Chicken was overcooked and dry. The service was very good. Would definitely recommend serving better quality cut of steak - raise prices if necessary!
Loved the romantic ambiance this restaurant had. Soft music playing, and low light. You have to try the cosmo-absolutely wonderful and refreshing. I had the seafood trio and was not disappointed! Perfectly cooked and well seasoned!
Outstanding steaks! Live music was a bonus. Excellent waitstaff.
Great place surprised by everything. Great service and food.
Nice quaint restaurant. The wait staff was outstanding, great price value for menu items.
Amazing meals. Amazing Groupon Deal $50 for $80 on their menu!
Don't forget to tip on the total of the groupon and the extra owed on the bill people. Especially for amazing service!
We started out with the wickedly delish artichoke dip. Omg...it was delicious and the pitas were baked so perfectly. The chunks of fresh veggies underneath the dip at the bottom of the cheese sauce added a large bout of uniqueness to this dish and we polished that off like it was our last meal.
I had the seafood pasta, omg the amount of lobster tail meat chunks and jumbo shrimp and fish were perfectly seared. You almost get a tail of lobster chunks and the seafood is sooooo bloody fresh. I know fresh seafood as I was raised in a fishing village in Newfoundland and my dad, grandpa and many other of my family members were a deep sea fisherman so I was raised on fresh seafood, I even fished myself and cooked the fresh fish up after getting home.
My partner had the chicken parm for an entree and home made spaghetti but it was a bit on the sweet side of flavor, so sweet batter haters beware. It seems there is a type of sugar or sweetener within the batter on the filleted breast. I liked it as I love sweets, my partner on the other hand not at all.
Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to know it was a sweet coating on the chicken breast.
Also the spaghetti was jumbo and reminded us of exactly what you would get in a can of store bought spaghetti like the blue Heinze Spagetti back in Canada.
Again, I liked it, my partner didn't like it at all as it was too much like the canned stuff. We finished with 2 of the best martinis we ever had out at a restaurant.
But, In the end, no complaints were made whatsoever, a 20% tip was given for the outstanding and very attentive service and we left as full as 2 stuck pigs.
Food was not prepared to order, putting one member of our party in the position of eating well after the others. A very uncomfortable situation. The food was at best mediocre. I’ve had better at Denny’s.
$180, overcooked inedible lobsters & waits for no reason and non existent to invisible wait staff.
McCall’s has a decent menu and good choices. The happy hour offers quite a few drink choices plus some good food items. I started with a simple green salad. Very plain, lettuce and some baby greens. I paid $4 extra to have tenderloin tips on top. Pretty good but a bit overcooked. Very tender. I’d recommend any of their beef.
Then I ordered the prime rib dip. The biggest French dip ever with grilled onions and fancy portabella mushrooms. Plus onion strings. The only problem was trying to dunk the huge sandwich into a tiny cup of au jus. Impossible to do without spilling all over. I almost finished half.
For dessert I had a berry sundae. Very refreshing and lots of variety. Great vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberry, blueberry, raspberries, and blackberries. All topped with whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Excellent finish. It would have been great with my coffee but I didn’t get a refill. Waited awhile. One cup with dinner not enough. Coffee good too, wanted more.
I’d go again, even if I wasn’t staying at the stratosphere. With a $20 off $40 purchase coupon when I checked in.
I will say the service at McCall's was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive as were the service assistants. The food was good, however, the dining room lacked a sense of elegance. There were no table cloths on the tables and the setting was a bit generic. Now I realize that you cannot "eat" atmosphere, however, spending a little more attention on the ambiance would have made for a much more elegant evening.
Great food! staff was very attentive to guests as well.
The food was delicious. I loved that there was a Living Social deal I could apply to my meal. My husband I enjoyed our visit.
We had a wonderful time and the food was excellent. Between the three of us we had spinach dip, calamari, shrimp cocktail, beef soup, fish/chips and salmon. Everything was wonderful !! Our waitress was fabulous and we never had to ask for anything. Would love to come back
We had the perfect dinner just before the Celestia show. We enjoyed the special cocktails--they were vodka based. The starter breads were great, as were the mixed appetizer. On our table of 5, we shared the rib eye, the mixed seafood, a prime rib, and wedge salad. All were great, and we used the 20% off from Tix4Tonight dining card. A bargain dinner!
This was a rushed experience. The steak was supposed to be a rib eye. It was not ! It also was so tough you could barely cut it. And was ordered med rare. In our way out we saw a pizza place and said we should have saved our money and just had pizza ! Very Disappointed. Will not return. So many great places to dine in Vegas .
Terrific food. Awesome steaks and good special. Was very disappointed in Service
Groupon was terrific value
The food and service was amazing. They made my birthday dinner so special!!
The restaurant doesn't open until 5 PM for dinner. Made a reservation for 5 (we were seeing a show after) and when we showed up at 4:55 the door was locked. A simple sign that said "Open at 5" would have been helpful. The menu had sides included on some meals and not on others. When I asked the waiter if the entrees that included sides had them listed in the description he said "not necessarily" and made not attempt to elaborate so we could make an informed decision. We were never told if there were any specials.
My companion ordered the salmon which was a generous size piece of fish and came with new potatoes and a vegetable side. She reported that it was very good. I ordered the "Semi-boneless half chicken". It came with new potatoes and no vegetable. I added the green beans in addition to the entree. When the meals came I was shocked. The half chicken was more like a quarter of a pigeon. Seriously, I don't know where they found such a small chicken. It had a tiny breast with a tiny upper wing attached (that was the only bone). It had a tiny little piece of chicken with it. There was no leg or dark meat, so apparently I got half of a miniature legless chicken. This was way over priced for what I got. If it had been an actual half of an adult sized chicken I wouldn't have a problem with the price. Add to this the fact that the place smelled like an ashtray from being open to the casino and the wait staff was just average and I would not recommend it. There are too many options in Vegas to settle for this place.
The ribs where the worst I have ever had. When I complained to the server he said most people don't like them.
Incredible rolls, good wedge salad, good wine value, poor meat & service. As typical not our gals fault, way under server staffed. Would not go back for dinner, but at bar order drinks and perhaps appetizer
We sat at the bar before dinner for happy hour, the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. We then went in the restaurant for dinner where the food was delicious and our waiter Mark (And staff) was great! We were celebrating my boyfriends birthday so they had a candle in his dessert, it was a great experience overall.
The number of available options for food and wine was good. The service was fine. The bacon and jalapeno wrapped prawns with guava BBQ sauce was delicious, and definitely the best part of the experience. I got the 8oz filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly to my request, but the overall flavor was lacking, and I couldn't tell you exactly why, but I didn't like the sauce it came with. My friend was equally ambivalent about his seafood pasta.
Overall, McCall's was good, but nothing to write home about.
