McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Rosemont
We’ve been here before but this time was different and it was not good. Not only was it ridiculously expensive, it wasn’t worth the meal. The place was practically empty and we had to wait 10 minutes for every little thing. We will not be back for sure.
It was a disappointment. Waiter smelled of cigarette. Food was nothing special. They sat us at a table for four and didn’t remove the two extra placemats.
Drinks were overpriced and small.
Very friendly staff and large portions. Nice atmosphere.
As always everything was perfect. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you.
Overall dining experience excellent.
Our birthday celebration was phenomenal our waiter Angel was fantastic and everyone in the restaurant was just so friendly and accommodating ....thank you for the signed menu, we had a great time!
Very good restaurant but expensive. We know that going in and If you can’t afford it you shouldn’t be there.
Good drinks, great appetizers and incredible Sea Bass rounded out the evening. The only slight reduction in score was the obvious annoyance of the waiter as we lingered a little longer than normal.
My dad didn't get the right order. But he's old so he didn't want to make a fuss. But everything else was great!
Oysters Rockefeller were good. New England Clam Chowder was also good. The entrees were overly salty - fish and chips was mostly batter and fish tasteless. The shrimp in the lobster and shrimp roll was not fresh - seemed to be the tiny canned variety.
Food was great as always but the service level was lacking. And that was before my husband had an entire tray of food and dishes launched at him. Accidents happen, but his clothes were ruined, plates landed on his head and back and a manager never even came out to apologize or see if he was ok.
It was fantastic!
When the waiter brought our wine, he had the incorrect red wine for one guest. He made a point 3 times of saying it was the customers fault - “she pointed to wrong item on menu,”. It was a birthday celebration. At the end of dinner - waiter spent 5-6 minutes selling a restaurant rewards card that no one wanted and it felt like a commercial with our dinner. Will not be back. Not what I expected for what I thought should be a high end dining experience.
Enjoyed a good meal
Service was impeccable. They made a mistake on my daughter's order but rectified it with a free dessert. The food was delicious; drinks were well made. I like this restaurant and this particular location.
We had lunch on Veteran's Day to honour the service of one our colleagues. Striped bass poke and grilled were exceptional. Nice wine selection. Service was impeccable.
They treated us so well, it was a Veterans Day gathering of friends. They honored us and treated us exceptionally well.
Veteran’s Day dinner.
Food was very good. Didn't like the 1 hour wait. Had reservation at 7:15pm and did't get seated until 8:45. What's the point of making a reservation and not honoring that time?
They really know how to take care of the soldiers and sailors on Veteran's Day each year. Excellent place to dine.
Couldn’t have been better!!!!!
It was a lovely restaurant which we have visited several times and this time included a dinner for my husband because of service for 6 years in the army. How nice to be so appreciated. My meal was delicious and certainly worth the price. Will come again.
Enjoyed everything people were friendly food was spot on very clean restaurant
Great food and great service! I've been there before and will return again!
Great experience overall. The vibe is a bit corporate, but pretty nice nonetheless. I was hoping to have another beer while my buddy finished his meal, but I wasn't given the chance.
McCormick & Schmick is one of the few great restaurants nearby. the food is exceptionally delicious. the service is great and friendly.
We had wonderful service, and the oysters were amazing. However our lobster bisques were very disappointing. We also decided to get the lobster mashed potatoes, an abnormal direction for us, and we should have gone out usual route as that was also disappointing. Would skip the rubbery lobster, but double the oysters.
We had an early reservation and I think maybe that had something to do with the service not being up to par. The food was not outstanding. For the the price of the crab legs there could have been more and they seemed freezer burned not light, tough and hard to remove from the shell the last leg was still frozen. The coconut shrimp were definitely from a box, highly breaded, and frozen.
Not crowded that afternoon so service was great. Food was darn good. I'd go back.
Given it's location in the heart of the Rosemont Convention center business hub, we found this to be a lovely oasis. Attractive, soothing atmosphere, well appointed and with a very good ambient soundtrack that kept it from being stoggy. Food was excellent, service highly professional. This will be our new go-to haunt over an above the countless other up-scale business dinner choices in the area.
McCormick & Schmick (Rosemont) has an enjoyable ambiance near O'Hare where you can dine in sufficient quiet to hear your table conversation. I would recommend the specialty cocktails. Also delicious were our mushroom bruschetta and calamari. However the chicken fettuccine was nothing special. Next time I'll probably go back to ordering the steak or seafood which I usually select.
Very slow service
We have had dinner there before but thought that this time was even better. There were four of us and we all had something different and "cleaned our plate". The host, wait staff were great! Juan was very attentive and made sure we were not rushed throughout the dinner.
We'll be back for sure!
perfect date nite spot. food, service, valet great thyme!!!
Thank god we had a gift card to use! Though the wait staff was excellent, the food was mediocre at best. Main courses was delivered cool- we sent it back. Came back luke warm. Lobster mashed potatoes were also luke warm and definitely not worth $12 with tiny pieces of lobster . We normally don’t complain but this is supposed to be a high end steak place! Steak should be sizzling! Seafood should be hot and fresh tasting. Crab cake tasted frozen. We usually give a restaurant two tries... not this place. Capital grille and Gibson’s MUCH better
Food is good but the service is terrible. We waited and waited and waited before even being greeted then to get water was forever. I watched him refill all the Tables around us then get to us last. Beer was warm....ordered an old fashioned and was told bc it’s made by him it would be a little bit. Well it sure was. Food came out, I had an undercooked steak. Medium was more rare than medium but it was good. I just think a $50 steak and $20 drink would come with some type of decent service. Instead we felt like it was a waste of his time. We had to get going to catch a show, so had cc out. He came by I asked for a box he said sure, took the cc ran our bill came back took our food and about 8 min later returned. We never saw our tab til after the cc was run. Thankfully no errors....either way it’s a lot of money for a decent meal with bad service. Stay away.
Cool place but way over-priced for the quality of the food. I would not go again.
Bad food, mismatched drinks, broken fork.
Yeah, real nice evening.
Delicious food & excellent service from a wonderful young man. Helped us with our appetizer and main course selections. His recommendations were wonderful!
