Service was amazing and I highly recommend this place

Excellent venue. Delicious lunch and great service. Buffalo chicken wrap and cheeseburger were served with really good fries. Will visit again!

There was no water in our glass. My friend ask the server but we still didn’t receive it. When we were served about 9:15, they told us that the restaurant closes at 10. I think that was on called for. You don’t rush your customers to eat when the food just came out the kitchen very hot.

Good food, good service, sat inside socially distant and acceptable. Solid meal.
Look forward to going back and dining outside.

Waited a long time for our waiter to check on us to see if we needed anything. By the time he came back it was last call for food and drinks. The waiter did however go to other tables around us often. We still tipped

The staff is energetic, professional and engaging. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. The food was amazing... all of it. There wasn’t anything that was not delicious. The ambiance was perfect. We’ll be back.

This place is just beautiful! The ambience is gorgeous. The service was ok, we were the only ones dining in that day and our server rarely came over to us and the food took awhile, but it was worth the wait. The chicken milanese was awesome! And the desserts were impeccable. I brought a friend for her first time and she was taken aback. Definitely recommend!

The service was not good and neither was the food.

Everything was just BLAND!!! The cauliflower bites need a sauce for dipping and the Caesar salad was watery, the dressing was horrible.

The ambiance was great. Their New Year's Eve menu was amazing!

The service was very slow. Order an app of oysters calamari it took almost hour to get it. When received I ate a bad fishy oyster.

Shortly after receiving the apps. Within 10 mins the dinner appeared before the apps were even finished.

The whole night was ruined by the fact of the bad oyster not sitting right for me but for my date he didn’t like how the meal was so close to the apps that he waited a while for. Time management on the courses was not done properly

Food was mediocre, I thought a bit overpriced for what it was. Almost $20 for an okay caesar salad. Service was a bit slow, but nothing to complain about!

Stopped in for dinner after our annual Christmas shopping trip to Short Hills mall. Felt very safe in this Covid time. Staff was very attentive and pleasant. Food was delicious!! Christmas decorations, roaring fire - very welcoming!
However, missed the crowds of holiday revelers. Looking forward to when things are “safe” for crowds again!!

Wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. Cocktails and food were not as good as the staff and the ambiance. Bang bang shrimp by far best appetizer of the day. The Calamari was breaded awkwardly and chewy. The marinara for the squid was from a jar. I had the angry tacos, but the only thing that was angry was me. The angry tacos weren’t seasoned, at all. No salt, no chili powder, no pepper. The mahi mahi was cooked well, if only it was seasoned properly it would have been perfect. My friends both had the short rib grilled cheese. Again, they were expecting a flavorful, savory grilled cheese and it wasn’t. The bread was toasted properly and that’s the best I can say about it. Bartender couldn’t make a Manhattan and didn’t use the proper cherries ( I know this sounds menial, but it’s the little things that make big difference). The cappuccino at the end of dinner was basically a warm glass of milk. We were excited to try this place out and we were disappointed. If you go for the waitstaff and ambience, then it’s a great stop. If you’re going for the food, stop somewhere else then come get a drink here and enjoy the sights.

Some menu items weren’t available which is why I gave the food four stars instead of five. Everything else was great! COVID protections -despite the need - affect the ambiance. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Small menu, went their for fish and their was hardly any on the menu. Weird vibe in the restaurant. We will not be going back here for awhile.

Food was good didn’t like the French onion soup. It was a bit cold in there but it was because they left the door open for ventilation. And the decaf cappuccino were cold

We went here for their Family Style Thanksgiving. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! The only issue was that even after being sat, we waited over 15 minutes for a server to greet us, as there had been some confusion on the seating chart for the servers. No worries though, because after that, everything was outstanding! Will definitely return!

My husband and I dine at McLoone's Boat House and the other McLoone's restaurants often. We have always have a good experience. We most recently had a very enjoyable meal on Thanksgiving. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and the food and service are always excellent. They also have a very good loyalty program.

This was our second time here in as many weeks. While it was CONSIDERABLY better than the last visit, there are still a few things that could be improved. We made a reservation for outside dining (because I had my dog with me) and after first being directed to a seat in the sun (with no umbrella) my elderly mother asked if there was a seat in the shade. The hostess said dogs weren't allowed in the shaded area. I laughed and said we had just been there the week earlier with the dog and sat in the shade…she conceded and sat us. I ordered the beet salad which was wholly unremarkable for $15. My mother got the short rib grilled cheese which was delicious but her sweet potato fries were cold. Our server was better than last time but between being given our bill and the wait to have him come pick it back up, it was disappointing. Still, you can't beat the view and it is one of the few places I can bring my dog after a nice stroll around the reservoir.

I have been to McClun’s recently several times. The last two times I noticed a difference in service and in the cocktails. Service is slow but courteous. We sent back drinks twice as they were not made correctly. Heaters not working Upon arrival, pieces taped together, and one heater was actually melted at the top. I’m quite disappointed as of late overall.

Our server was awful. She didn't tell us the daily specials, did not attend to us regularly, left our water glasses empty and overall was not friendly.

Alternatively, the food was decent, but was not worth the price. My truffle gnocchi sauce was not emulsified and ended up separating (dairy from the truffle oil) within minutes of being served. It certainly is not what I would have thought a $30 dish would be prepared like.

As it stands we would not come back, unless maybe it's during the summer for a drink outside.

The service or lack of was Very Slow!!! After we ordered soup and salad arrived ... we had no utensils... after we asked two servers finally the third one brought us silverware... My wife had the steak frites and I the salmon... Her meal was good and my salmon not so much... Very Very over cooked and the minimal vegetables in the couscous had a bad smell.... I have always wanted to try this place for years and after a Great Day at the zoo ... I think the Boat House has Sunk... I really Don’t think I would go back...😢

Great view and selection of appys. Hoping they install outdoor heaters so we can visit as it gets colder.
