Service was slightly better on a previous occasion. wait person was adequate but the previous one was more attentive and more personable and helpful. Food was plentiful but served cold.

My husband and I came here for a light lunch Last Saturday January 9 and service at this restaurant was exceptional. Their New England clam chowder is just ok as well as their Lobster Waldorf Salad. I love that this restaurant is right by the water and I love the vibe of this place. Worth a try !

I hope this was just an off night, especially since I’ve been coming here for years.

We dined last night, and our waitress was wonderful the kitchen, not as good as it used to be. 3 of us ordered appetizers all different, 2 came out correctly and the third was duplicate of another, sent back and waited 8 minutes. Dinner, the amount of food was definitely smaller, but prices same or higher. One dish in particular was a botched, Cioppino for $34.95. I received only 4 of each: mussels, clams & shrimp (definitely previous frozen and small) in a bowl of 2” of broth, no crostini. Broth was delicious, had to ask for the crostini, which when received was store bought and not homemade. Needless to say very unhappy for a $35 meal, that wasn’t worth more than $15 as an appetizer. I spoke with the server and who was gracious, I ask for some pasta which was made and she offered the mgr to come over, which never came.

Great way to start the new year with the family style brunch. Could have used more vegetarian options in the spread but overall a great experience and good food.

Was disappointed with the restaurant's food on this visit. Food came out barely warm and not hot as it should be. my desert key lime pie was dried out like it had been lying in fridge for days. Ordered cappiciano and it was almost cold when served to me. Overall this visit which was xmas eve was not up to par with recent visits to this establishment. The restaurant was not even half full, so no excuse for not serving 5 star service with everything served.

Made our first date beyond memorable. I can not thank the staffing enough. The food was amazing but that view over the water made a lasting impression that we will never forget.

Salsa was not tasty and was watery but guacamole and shrimp scampi flatbread were delicious! Nice service.

We went for Thanksgiving. The food was cold and the carrots looked like a bag you would get at the grocery store that they cooked and threw on a plate. Extremely disappointed !!!

A great experience at McLoone’s Pier House. My daughter and I ordered the shrimp lettuce wraps and they were delicious. The wait staff was excellent. We were greeted with very friendly smiles. Loved the ambience. But most of all we loved being able to sit and look out at the ocean. We definitely will be going back for more!

We always enjoy McCloone's. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly and efficient, and the decor is beautiful. We had the crab cake for our appetizer, which was delicious. We also both had the halibut special, which was delicious. Overall a great restaurant.

The food was horrible and poor quality. The atmosphere was nice. While we were there another table actually got up and left once they saw the menu and what they were getting for their money. I know current life is part of the problem but i was hoping for better

The food and service was mediocre for the price. The place was not packed but our waitress was still very inattentive. I don't even remember her introducing herself by name. I took my Fiance for a birthday dinner and had great expectations only to be let down. He actually did not like his food and sent it back to the kitchen, mentioning that he didn't want to replace the dish and that he would just settle for the appetizers we ordered prior to ordering our meal. Overall, we were just very disappointed.

When we first arrived, the hostess sat us down. There were no utensils or napkins on the table. We were not informed by her that we were supposed to open the menu electronically.

Our server, however, was very good. She brought us paper menus, explained things and apologized for the lack of the hostesses explanation.

When the food arrived, however, it was cold. The potatoes and vegetables were very cold and our server brought us hot potatoes. My husbands steak was cold, my chicken was warm.

I really enjoy McCloons in Long branch, I eat there most frequently and bring a lot of friends and family members into the restaurant. I will continue to be a visitor quite frequently because I moved into the area thank you for a wonderful evening and the waitress was marvelous

We got soup for an appetizer and it was cold. Then for our entree we both got sandwiches and the fries were cold. They brought us new fries within 30 seconds, don’t know how they were cooked that quickly? The sandwich I got was the bbq chicken sandwich with very little flavor and super dry. For a place moderately priced, food did not represent that well. Definitely not worth the price of the food.

Initially, the restaurant did not want to honor our reservation of 7 people and wanted to sit us at separate tables even though our reservation was made 5 days in advance. It was our Mother's birthday dinner and we did not want to split. Eventually, after speaking to the manager, they honored the reservation and we sat together.

They did also prepare the wrong dish for one of our party members.

Mike and I brought our friend to the Pier House to celebrate her birthday. There were other birthday celebrations happening too. It was a very celebratory environment. We sat by the corner window with a lovely view of the Atlantic and enjoyed the charming atmosphere surrounding us. We started with some lovely cocktails to toast our dear friend. They were great! Chris, our waiter was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions about the various offerings for brunch and lunch. There were so many interesting choices. We selected brunch. We picked three different options and each one was delicious and the portions were quite generous. As we enjoyed our food, Chris was omnipresent, asking us frequently how we were doing and yet not intrusive. Since it was a birthday celebration, we naturally selected desserts and Chris provided the candle/light so we could sing. Then we enjoyed the scrumptious desserts along with special coffee. It was a delighftul afternoon by the sea, great service, outstanding food, wonderful company with a grand time had by all, especially the birthday girl! Thank you! This is our second birthday celebration with friends that we've had at the Pier House since it opened up again. It is everything we could ask for to celebrate a special day wiht dear friends. We highly suggest it to one and all ! ! Ellie

honestly, service was absolutely terrible & the floor was absolutely everywhere. very disappointed, I guess I paid all that hard earned money for the view :/
