   Unfortunately, our various experiences with Black Rabbit have all been mediocre. The setting is lovely, but the meals have taken two hours almost every time we've gone. And it's often when they aren't overly busy. Again, we love the setting! And we want to support McMenamin's. Definite bummer

   You not playing that opera or screechy violin music is a real plus. I had commented on the idea that music should be in the background without rising and falling high pitch moments. It is so much better now. It had been my only complaint in an else perfect environment.

   We went for Mothers Day brunch. Food was excellent & everyone was able to find something they liked on the menu ( even picky folks & folks with food allergies) Our wait staff was excellent, except very soft voice & hard to hear over all the restaurant noise. One meal arrived with avocado which was specifically requested be left off the sandwich, but wait staff was prompt in getting a correct sandwich. Aside from being a bit on the spendy side everything was wonderful.

    We had breakfast at the Black Rabbit on Mother's Day. We had reservations. We were seated immediately, no wait at all. Everyone is very pleasant, both hostess and weight staff. Food was very good, cooked just as we ordered, and the right amount. We will definitely come back.

    Very good service, nice pinot, excellent duck, a bit noisy. Should have dined outside. A couple of negatives: appetizer came at same time as main coarse, and wine glasses were more for an aperitif, not a pinot. Waiter apologized, saying Black Rabbit was quite in need of proper stemware.

    The food quality was not as expected for the price. Had reservations at 7:00 and received meal at 8:30. It would not have mattered as much if the food quality was worth the wait, but it was not. We will probably not be back.

    Black Rabbit has been solid for me for years. I take clients there, I take family there and it has been infallible until last night. The food took over an hour to arrive and when it did, it was bare lukewarm.

    This was an anniversary dinner for us. Our server was good though stretched thin over so many tables. We enjoyed our selections of fish and two types of prepared (roasted &fried) chicken. Drinks were not as expected, cosmos were very tart! Overall a good experience.

    The food was delicious, seasonal fare. Our waitress was very busy but still quite attentive and funny! I love the decor and vibe of McMenamins and we had a great and amazingly delicious birthday dinner from appetizers to desserts. I would recommend the Black Rabbit restaurant to anyone.

    Very mediocre food. I had avocado toast with an egg on top. It sucked eggs. The "toast" was not toasted but grilled on stale, reused (multiple times) grill-oil, which imparted foul, spoiled tastes. And the thin film of avocado paste on the "toast" had nothing added to it, no piquancy. Seldom have I had such bad food served.

    After many good experiences for breakfast, this is the first poor one. Had eggs Benedict. My eggs were over poached, there was very little hollandaise, and the potatoes were dry and tough as if they’d been cooked the day before. Our coffee was never refilled until we received our check, which was 1 check instead of the 2 requested.

    I had the sturgeon. Our guest had the pork. Both were outstanding. We got a little behind in service as we didn't connect with our guest promptly. But from that point, service was good.
