Great service, great food, great drinks! Highly recommended
Food was great and service was wonderful
Not enough servers. It looked
Please sort out existing issues with this restaurant for future diners.
My reservation was not received by the staff via the open table app.
They said the restaurant was new to your service, hence the mistake.
Thanks!
The food was good although the temperature of 2 items ordered at my table was not hot enough. The server was fun and helpful.
Lovely sitting outside, with beautiful flower beds, fireplace, and heaters. Crab cakes and salads were really good.
My son ordered brisket Mac n cheese and the overpowering taste was arugula? My husband ordered bacon wrapped bison meatloaf bacon was raw. Would not go back
Ate dinner there twice. Enjoyed it both evenings. Wait staff very friendly and attentive.
A gem! Outdoor seating a plus - wear a sweater. We thought the indoor seating too crowded in this Covid-19 environment so opted to go outside. Food was excellent (prime rib - only available some days was first class). Chicken and orzo with sundried tomatoes was great. Huckleberry cheesecake was well worth the calories. Service was smooth. Golf course scenery lovely. A don't miss place.
Waited close to an hour after being seated to get water. Waitress kept literally running past us. Husband called out a couple times asking if our server. Finally heard and answered no and ran off. 5 minutes later another server brought us water and we ordered immediately for fear she would vanish. Seated on lower patio where lights weren’t working. Overall weird place. Weird interior decor. After experience looked at website and they are big on kryptocurrency. WEIRD place, Weird clientele, facilities need maintenance, understaffed, average food.
Great experience for my wife and me, as we were celebrating our 41st Wedding Anniversary! Food and service was very good!
This is an awesome restaurant in a lovely setting. Probably one of the more upper scale dining choices in town. Perfect at sunset. The drinks are innovative, the wine list is excellent. There is a terrific variety of delightful food so you’ll want to come back again & again to be sure you don’t miss any of the offerings. The service is top notch too... with pleasant twinkling eyes! (Plus smiling faces under those darn masks, too, I’m sure!)
The hostess who welcomed us was impolite. She did not say hello and she did not care about our open table reservation. She was very aggressive when she realized that we were talking about her, and I had to argue with her about her behavior. One waitress told us that she was a mean person, and was nice with us. But it was too late!!! We were upset about service in this restaurant. Our waitress then was nice. The food was ok, not great. I hate when a steak is put on mash potatoes. It is so unprofessional. Bison meatloaf was correct, not amazing. Dessert were also decent, but not great. Overall the place is too expensive for the quality of the food. And if the mean lady welcomes you, you will not spend a good moment!
Made reservation several weeks in advance for outside table, arrived to check in, waited 5-10 minutes before anyone came over to even check us in. When someone finally did they told us no outside tables were open, and we would have to wait 20-25 minutes for a table. I said no, I reserved weeks ago there should be a table for us. She came back several minutes later with a snarky, “ok come on”, like it was a hassle we had a reservation.
We then sat down at sat there for 25 minutes, no server, no manager, not even an acknowledgement, no water, no silverware, nothing! I went walking around inside to find anyone and ask if we had a server, only a bartender inside...I sat back down and waited another 5 minutes...still no server. I heard several tables nearby make comments about how long they had to wait for service, food, etc. The table next to us ordered dessert and were told that they would have to use their dirty forks to eat it with because the dishwasher was backed up and there were no more forks.
At that point, after being there for 35 minutes in total, we got up and left. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager, who conveniently was unable to speak to me. Instead they took a message and he would call me back...no phone call, can’t say I’m surprised. After reading through other reviews, this is apparently very common, I attribute this to terrible management and will never return, I recommend you do the same.
We drove back into Whitefish where we were staying and found a much better restaurant with impeccable service
Service was very poor--we were never checked up on.
Untrained staff, mass confusion, waited forever to get a drink and then get order placed, food arrived and was not what we ordered. Ask to speak with the manager and was told he was too busy to speak with us, we were handed a survey form to document our issues, staff did not know anything about social distancing, what a train wreck, we will never return, sent the food back, paid for the drinks and fled the seen.
We had a lovely evening out on the patio. Our server and food were outstanding!
I stayed at Meadow Lake, and I ate twice at the restaurant. I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food. I had the coconut shrimp and the crab cakes. Both were delicious! We sat outside, watched the ducks, geese, and birds, and had a wonderful time! The weather was excellent.
Fantastic new menu - love the place - it is our new number one!
Good calamari, which we love. Also delicious ribs. Accomodated group of 7 with two kids well. Wish the kids menu had more variety and veggies.
Always eat here when we are in Columbia Falls. Food is delicious, great value for money. Staff are what really makes it a great spot. Super friendly and fun. Will continue to come back.
Second time we had the same waitress and she was just as bad as the first time. Never checked on us and not warm at all....the bartender is great tho.
Service was amazingly
Meadowlake Bar and Grille is a nice place in a beautiful setting to meet friends and enjoy casual American fare. I made reservations through Open table - they did not have a record of the reservation and said they do not receive notification from OpenTable when reservations are made thus a table was not reserved. If you make reservations online I would definitely call to make sure they received them. It can be a very busy and loud place so if a quiet conversation is on your agenda look elsewhere. If it is nice definitely ask to be seated on the patio by the pond and fireplace. Much better for quiet conversation outside - but you can only do that a few months of the year.
To much noise and to much sauces on the dish . The service is frendly
Made Open Table reservation in advance. Arrived, checked in & after long day of travel headed for dinner. No record of our reservation! We were seated shortly after but food was mediocre at best. Companion had wedge salad with petite sirloin that was as tough as rawhide. Not our first meal here but may be our last.
Sat on patio, just lovely. It did start to rain but the team seemed ready with an action plan to move customers inside. Thank You for such a great Gluten Free menu, great variety and options. Prime Rib, while pricey was worth it. All food was tasty and service was excellent. A nice way to wrap up our incredible holiday at Meadow Lake Resort.
This place is pretty bad. We went tonight and the service was grumpy and took a long time, the food was not very good (I could have made much better at home) the wine was corked (she brought me a new one) and it was just overall one of those experiences where we looked at each other and said...ah, this is why this place had availability. We definitely won’t be back.
Very good food - get those servers to smile !
The wine glasses were generously filled. 😊 For having a reservation the table wasn’t the best- it’s a casual friendly atmosphere - so ambience wasn’t an issue- fun and great bartender and very attentive and ambitious Hostess
We arrived for an 8PM reservation after an 800 mile drive expecting a great time. We ordered prime rib only to have the server come back and tell us they were out. We ordered a side salad, fish and chips and a dinner salad, with chicken. FIFTY minutes later it showed up! Then my side salad appeared 5 minutes later even though I asked for it before the meal. My wife's pear gorgonzola salad was minus the chicken too but they billed us for it! I believe the kitchen and head server were focused on the engagement party event moreso than all other customers. Server did what he could I believe but a disappointing meal.
Excellent food, excellent staff and a beautiful spot!
We sat outside and the view was very nice. The food was okay but not great. I ordered the fish tacos and there was just one little sliver of fish in each taco which was disappointing. My husband ordered the halibut which he said was good but it was served on a bed of plain white rice with no vegetables or anything on the side, again....disappointing and boring. The service was very spotty, we were ignored for quite a while before our waitress came to our table. She was very nice once she got there, but we had to wait awhile and we were hungry. It was very nice to sit outside on the golf course but I wish the food had been better.
The chicken wings were outstanding: crispy, tasty, no grease, moist meat. The huckleberry ribs were quite nice & very generous if a tad salty. The bison gnocchi: essentially a tasty bison chili served over uninspired, too chewy petite dumplings. Overall, quite satisfying and fun to share.
Just not good. Nothing to like about this restaurant
Great food an service here on vacation highly recommend get Kim as your waiter if u cAn
We went to this restaurant expecting a good, if not gourmet meal. While the view is lovely, it does not make up for bad food.
We ordered shrimp cocktail and wings for appetizers and the featured huckleberry ribs with the sauce on the side. We also ordered the salmon, which our pleasant young server assured us was excellent.
When the server brought our wine, a nice Duckhorn Merlot, she opened the bottle—and just left it on the table. No tasting, no pouring, just plunked down like a beer.
Our appetizers arrived, which were decent. Mid-bite into our 3rd wing and shrimp, our salads and entrees arrived and were plunked on the table.
The salmon was dry and inedible. The famed ribs came with the sauce on them and were ice cold, as in pulled from the refrigerator cold.
We returned our entrees and told the embarrassed and apologetic server to take it off our bill—which she did with many apologies. As we waited for her to ring up our check, we heard another server telling the next table about specials—none of which were offered to us.
Until this restaurant can rise above the level of Caddy Shack for training its servers and chefs, I recommend you get on your golf cart and ride away from the Meadow Lake Bar and Grille.
The food was okay but nothing inspired. The portions were abundant. The atmosphere was pleasant especially the outdoor seating.
Restaurant was a disappointment. Service was bad, food was below average and overall feel of the establishment was lethargic.
We began by ordering beers. My wife’s Stella did not have the usual carbonation. It had a weak, soapy looking head and tasted flat. We are from Wisconsin and know our beer! The bartender apparently thought it was just fine as we had to ask to have it taken off the bill even though it was sent back!
The food was OK but nothing outstanding. My buffalo burger was in two pieces for some reason.
We were in the area as tourists but we would never return if we were local.
Variety of foods, full bar, comfortable setting, pretty views.
