Food was excellent.
Service was very good. Our waiter was excellent and the food was served quickly.
The beef/steaks here are second to none. The Japanese A5 Waygu is to die for!
The beef selections looked great, but we decided to opt for seafood. Amazingly great for a steakhouse. We had scallops wrapped in bacon and the Chilean sea bass, a side of grilled cauliflower and cheese cake. Seafood was impeccably fresh and cooked perfectly, the cauliflower a great treat enough to share, grilled mushrooms (substituted for the potatoes that come with the sea bass). Cheese cake was more than enough for 2 to share. And our server Joshua was terrific. We will be back soon!

Amazing food and service! Our waiter Joshua led us through making the right menu choices for a fantastic meal. Split a massive aged bone in ribeye cooked (minimally) to perfection. The peppercorn dipping sauce was magical. Started with fresh oysters and the bone marrow. Great wine list. Visit during pandemic- felt super safe with all spacing and protocols in place.
We were there celebrating our anniversary. They had a filet for two that was delicious. We also had the wedge and Ceasars salads which were big enough to slip. And the cheesecake was amazing. The staff was incredibly attentive and fun. We will definitely be back soon.

I had chose to celebrate our special occasion at your restaurant this past Saturday, because I had heard good things about the food, and service. Your host at the front door was polite and courteous which is usually an indicator that I’ve made a great choice. We were then seated at our table and later greeted by our waitress. My wife asked if a particular cocktail was one she’d consider “good”? Quickly she interrupted my wife by saying I can’t say any are good. You would have to read the ingredients and make up your mind. It depends on many factors what you like “. Now that may not sound rude but her delivery certainly was. To be honest I’d expect that at one of the taco truck stands across the street from where you are located, but not at an establishment where we paid a pretty hefty tab for food that is now overshadowed by a snarky response. Did we get any recommendations as to what cocktails are your most popular? Or wines that pair well ? We went to what is from what I would consider a steak house but no recommendations on any of steaks . It’s crazy to think that when I dined at chilis today they provided exceptional service and it didn’t cost me an hour and a half drive , and $300 dollars.

We have not gone to any restaurant since the closures but decided to celebrate both my 65th birthday and our 40th anniversary and chose Meat. We were not disappointed. The service was terrific, our waiter Ricky was attentive but not overly so. He recommended the 48 day aged Porter house. It was tender, and flavorful It comes with a sauce simply not needed. The side asparagus was very tasty. We were treated with a delicious apple tart and pistachio cremebrule both excellent. Definitely enjoyable and memorable evening
Amazing cuts, amazing setting. loved our food, service, brews. Miguel our waiter had the table filled at all times, we never were without anything! Will definitely be returning.

Made reservations for a party of three at 8pm. Waited 50 minutes to get seated and only got seated after complaining because two large parties got seated after only waiting about 10 minutes, if that. The manager sent over complimentary appetizers and desert to make up for it. Waiting 50 minutes to get seated after making a reservation is unreasonable and absolutely disrespectful that the restaurant would seat two large parties after they had only waited about 10 minutes. The food was fine but I will never return.
It was my birthday celebration with my husband and daughter. The first place they sat us we weren’t comfortable with it. They were accommodating and graciously moved us to a table we loved. The food was impeccable. We had the chateaubriand, clam chowder, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and the grilled cauliflower. We will be back 😊

This meal and experience was top notch! Miguel took wonderful care of us on my Father's birthday and thoroughly helped us walk through the menu as it was our first time here. They accommodated the Dodger game as well ;) The food and service is well worth the price; you wont find a rip off here just because of the location and view. All around great evening and will be back / recommend to many. THANK YOU! :)

Although the steaks were excellent, we feel the rest of our food was just OK, as was the service. Crowds outside were noisy and too many people without masks walking by.

I took my husband out to dinner for his bday. We were seated fairly quickly since we had reservations. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and sweet ..
The food was delicious !!
My only complaint ( and that’s not the restaurant’s fault obviously) it was so loud because of all the cars and motorcycles that are cruising on PCH. Not to mention the large homeless population..
One homeless person stopped at one of the guests table that were eating and the homeless person started yelling at the couple.
There is a small wall between the restaurant and the street but you are very close to the people walking on the side walk.
Again, there is nothing the restaurant can do about it .
I was bummed a bit because I was trying to have a romantic date with my hubby plus I hate loud noise to begin with.
I recommend the food for sure . The steaks are delicious and Not cheap.
First visit won't be my last. Meat follows all the COVID-19 safety protocols. Busy near sunset due to amazing views. Our party ordered a variety of salads, entrees & sides and all got rave reviews. Our server, Jonathan, was knowledgeable, patient & a big help with our choices. Loved the cocktails. Special shout out to manager Amy for all her help.
My wife and I decided to go out for dinner to celebrate my obtaining a new job. We figured we would brave the Corona virus and go out for a good meal. We made reservations at Meat on Ocean in Santa Monica, CA. We chose this restaurant and location because we have eaten there before and we enjoyed our experience.
Well, this time was not as exciting. Even though we made a reservation for 5:30pm we still have to wait for 10 to 15 minutes for the staff to get our table ready. This made no sense because we were in the FIRST dinner seating.
After being seated, we had to basically beg for bread and our food took way to long to arrive. Once our food arrived it was basically room temperature (i.e. cold). And to top it off our Server kept disappearing. We suspect he was assigned tables in other areas of the restaurant and maybe he kept forgetting about us.
In summary, we had somewhat of a lack luster experience. The quality (i.e. seasoning & flavor) of the food was good but the time it took for it to arrive, the poor service and the begging for bread put a damper on the dining experience. And again we could not figure out why our food was basically cold once it arrived...oh, perhaps it sat out on the counter and got cold while our Server was taking care of other tables.
Meat on Ocean...we know that you are better than this. Please don't disappoint if we decide to stop back in for another try.

It started with the hostess telling us that my sleeping baby had to wake up because we cannot bring the stroller next to our table, and also said that we only had a 90 minutes to dine. We order a 30day dry age 21oz bone in rib-eye and we specifically said do not cut it and they DID, which it got cold and dry blood on it went it hit our table. We love eating at steakhouse living in Las Vegas we know what we want and order what we like and when they come to us and say “is it a deal breaker if the steak is cut off the bone for you? “My Chef” ended up cutting the steak. We ORDER DO NOT CUT THE STEAK where is the miscommunication there? I don’t recommend this place, we had a much beyond the best dinner at Water Grill the night before and we got the worst experience at Meat On Ocean.

Our food and drinks were very good. Our server was friendly, but overall service was slow. Also one of the tables next to us had several kids that were just running around screaming- not what ones expects or wants to hear when at a steakhouse for a nice dinner.
Highly pleased with the environment and over all dinning experience. Would have liked a tour or introduction to the wine section before being seated. Everything was amazing non the less. Thank you for an amazing evening.

We had a reservation and still had to wait in line 30 minutes to be seated. We waited another 35 minutes after placing our drink order before receiving our drinks. Outdoor dining is along a very busy intersection so it was difficult to have an uninterrupted conversation amongst our table without hordes of tourists or loud cars going by. We ordered a wagyu steak medium rare and and received a medium well steak. Had to wait another 20 min for the new steak to come out.
Our server was great and did his best amongst the chaos. All in all, I don’t think we’d go back until after the pandemic is over when we can sit indoors and have a fully operating staff.
