The Merriest Bar, a Christmas wonderland just popped up at our Nightingale Bar in Downtown San Francisco. The magic has come to life as a kaleidoscope of twinkling lights, tinseled kitsch, glitter, Christmas movies, and holiday tunes… And this year, the magic grows even brighter with the addition of our outdoor experience: Santa Claude Lane—a brand-new festive extension of The Merriest Pop-Up.

Delicious seasonal hot and frosty cocktails are served in holiday vessels, garnished to the stars.

If you go to see the Christmas pop up, definitely try to sit upstairs. We sat downstairs in the back where they had reserved tables and it had kind of a funny depressing holiday vibe with bad lighting. I felt bad for our server who looked so bummed in general. We walked upstairs when we got up to leave and it was magical and completely different up there.

Very cute, decor was fun and festive. The upstairs bartender was very friendly and accommodating to our special requests, which I know can be annoying. The drinks were just ok. But the overall holiday vibe was good.

I actually did not dine here. I visited for their christmas bar. when we arrived the line was pretty long. There was no info about those who have reservations. So we eventually just went to the front and they had us listed. However, they said they were so busy they weren't sure if they had a table?! The upstairs was booked for the night unbeknownst to us. The hostess found us a tiny table way in the back against a wall in a corner. Once a better location opened she allowed us to move to it. It was definitely busy but a good vibe. Just a tad unorganized, maybe due to the upstairs being booked. That was disappointing because it is where I actually expected to sit. The hostess was really nice though and at least checked in to make sure we were good. They had no waitresses for some reason, maybe due to the party upstairs. So we had to go to the bar for our drinks. That didn't take long at least. The drinks were good and festive. I'll have to try it again I think we picked an overly busy date and unaware of half the bar being rented out.

Showed up for our reservation and was placed in a seating area and never actually sat at a table. Left after 30 mins when no one else came to check on us.

Horrible, we had to leave. Gave us a table in the back facing the wall when we had a reservation. Do not allow people to make reservations if you’re not going to offer a nice seating area to enjoy holiday cocktails. Either choose to host Santa con guests or guests with reservations. Cant be both

Amazing Vibe! Didn’t have the food since there was none. Great place to be with friends and if you are trying to get holiday vibes without reservations, this is the place to go!!!!

This was so much fun. The drinks were good just wish they offered Christmas theme finger foods (Christmas cookies, roasted chestnuts..or something). The service was friendly. And we enjoyed our Christmas date night

Way overmatched by customers. A festive environment ruined by ridiculously long waits for service. Annoying and inexperienced staff that seemed to vanish at all the right moments. This was purely a concept with absolutely pathetic execution. Walked out and never looked back.
