   Good food and service. Bread plate was lacking and bread as it was toasted, tasted somewhat burnt. Scallops were to die for! Oyster appetizer good with an unusual accompaniment of raspberry. Different but good. We were celebrating an anniversary and the complimentary glass of champagne was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated! Lovely urban atmosphere in a great location for a pre-theater dinner!

   Food was very good. Server forgot to put in order for our salad. Pork roast dinner was taken off menu, I think that is a big mistake. Food service was slower than 2 previous times we ate there.

   Nice restaurant and bar within the 21 C Museum Hotel. Bread service and calamari were good as was the chicken with carrot risotto. Disappointed with the scallop entre. The scallops were done nicely but the lentil and Brussels accompaniment was terribly vinegary.

   Great service, but disappointed with the dessert quality. The cakes we chose were dry, icing hard. I suggest at least serving a sauce with these cakes or getting them out of the fridge to let them soften before serving them.

    We were in Cincinnati for a few days and stayed at the 21C, Metropole was attached to the hotel and smelled heavenly when we came down the elevator. We decided to make reservations the following night in a whim. Might I say I am glad we did. The entire experience from service to meal was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu, gave suggestions and was very professional. Every member of the staff we encountered was so friendly and personable. The food was to die for! I had the duck cooked medium rare at the recommendation of the chef and it was the best duck I have ever had! The drink menu was robust and very good and the dessert menu was creative and delicious. I will be visiting again, this place is a must if you are in town!

    Had dinner at the Metropole before Moulin Rouge, when we arrived they said after 6 there would not be any bar service because they did not have a bartender but would have beer and wine and to bear with them because they were short staffed. All I can say is everyone stepped up and helped each other out. Our waitress was so attentive and nice. Our food was great-shared the salmon and orange salad and the scallops and were done excellent.     The best I can say about Metropole is “meh.” Every time we have the same experience: forgettable food and uneven service. When a restaurant in the heart of downtown, attached to a cool hotel, and across from the theater has empty tables on a Saturday evening show night tells you all you need to know.

    This was our first time eating here and we will be going back. The bread for an appetizer was a great start and I had the scallops which were amazing. The service was also outstanding. The wait staff worked together to make sure everyone in the dining area was well taken care of.

    I chose Metropole for Mother's Day because it's one of my Mom's favorite breakfast spots and I wanted a Mother's Day breakfast that was not a brunch like everywhere else. Our server, Junius (sp?) was terrific. He was personable, knowledgable and made the experience even nicer than we expected. The food, as usual, was delicious as well.

    We had such a perfect dinner here. It was our anniversary and they brought out drinks to celebrate. The smash burger and fries were phenomenal and we loved the bag of cotton candy at the end. After we ate, we walked through the gallery. Thanks for making our anniversary so special!!!
