Meza - Orlando
The food and the ambience were really great
The owner was very friendly. We checked in on Facebook and he learned was a special occasion for us and surprised us with a beautiful and delicious dessert.
The food is excellent! One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in town
Food was excellent, specially the salmon. Our server Ms Shima, as always was polite and professional.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The service was attentive. We will definitely go back.
When I booked through open table I was offered a special. Which I selected Happy hour drinks and they did not honor it. Service was extremely poor. It took a while to get our food . We were a large party so you can excuse a little wait. But then it got ridiculous trying to even get our bill and then there were mistakes and it took us having to go in the back and find our waitress as she disappeared and then asking to speak to the manager who had left. Overall I was embarrassed that I had suggested that our party go there The only good thing was our food was good. It was just a shame that it was ruined by the service and lack of leadership
Great Valentine’s Day experience! Food and service was amazing!
An excellent & delicious spot for a taste of the Middle East. Highly recommend the Chicken Tagine
Nice decor, full bar, good wine list and fantastic cuisine! Park across the street in parking garage often the easiest. Owner, Joe, often comes to your table. Prices are quite reasonable. One of our go to places!
Our favorite part of Meza was the food!! The depth of flavor that each dish carried with it was amazing. We started with a three part appetizer that had hummus, tzatziki and baba ghannoug and was served with warm bread - we ate every last piece. It was so delicious! For our entrees, we tried the chicken kabobs and and the lamb tangine...wow, just wow. The kabobs were perfectly cooked and had such a light flavor that was perfect for me. While the tangine was packed with strong Mediterranean flavors that had my wife sighing through her meal. We finished the night with the rice pudding that was so dreamy we wished we had ordered more!! Wonderful date night!!
Such a disappointment. It's New Year's Eve and there are so many wonderful places in Orlando to visit. We chose to return to Meza because we love their menu and Lebanese cuisine. We had made our reservation in advance and walked in early. Before we were seated, we were told "are you aware that there is only a fixed prix menu this evening?" to which I responded "no!" As I reviewed the options, at $50pp, it was all delicious food, but not what we intended to order. I can afford a $50 meal, but more than anything, it was the lack of communication and customer consideration that bothered me. Other places in the past have emailed or telephoned us to inform of menu changes or even a confirmation. It was rude and inconsiderate not to give us the advance notification.
Our server, Kay, saved the day. She was kind, courteous, attentive and prompt. The meal was delicious; meat to perfection. Best Baba Ghannoug, Hummus and thin pita anywhere in town. It always is! But kabobs and rice was not our plan.
The owner stopped by our table as we were leaving and pressed me for our feelings on the experience. After sharing my thoughts in a kind way, he gave me all the reasons why he made a last minute decision, like short staff and "how could we prepare all those meals." It's not the first time we experienced a lack in customer-centric service there. We may try it one more time, but will look for another Middle Eastern cuisine option.
Very Clean Dinning and Restroom areas
The food was terrific. Highly recommend and definitely will return.
Great variety of Mediterranean cuisine - fresh and authentic! A bit off the beaten track in Baldwin Park, but great food.
Good food and large portions.
Consistently good service and excellent flavors. Nice wine list too.
Arrived Friday night to loud music and a belly dancer going table to table. We had been wanting to try Meza for a while so we just rolled with it. Eventually the loud music/dancing stopped and they put on some nice background music where we could actually talk and hear the conversation at our table. The waitress/hostess were nice, kabobs were really delicious and enough for leftovers the next day . . . but absolutely no ambiance. Doubt we will go back.
In Orlando looking for a quick place to go and found Meza. Great decision. Service was great and food equaled the service
The lamb Tagine was very tender! In Morocco the Tagine is served with prunes and the dish is served with covers .... it was disappointing this wasn’t the same.
Excellent food. Very clean environment.
A pleasant surprise! Great food and ambiance! Mimosa special was great! We had a wonderful meal! Portions are generous enough to split and we recommend trying the appetizers for two - so good!
Lovely waitress, food was great. I thought it was a little over priced for an entree but delicious anyway!
Music was outdated and loud. Food was good, but the pita was served dry with no spread or dip.
Server was new and overly trying to please.
We made reservations for Easter Brunch after researching the restaurant's website and menus online and on the open table app. My first impression upon arrival was that it was clean and quiet. There was a party seated outside and two tables full inside. The restaurant was pretty empty and it was extremely warm inside. We were seated quickly and handed menus. It was a special Easter brunch menu that was very limited, especially compared to their normal menu. I asked the hostess about the regular menu and she said that they were only making what was on the Easter menu. Our server came by to take our drink order and I asked again about the menu, stating that we made reservations because of the menu on their website and on open table. She said it was a last minute thing to have the special menu and apologized that we couldn't order from the regular menu since it was Easter and they want to make sure the kitchen could get food out quick enough.....as I look around and see about 90% of the restaurant empty and thinking to myself how long does it take to make an omelet or cook some eggs. I told her we needed a minute that we were probably going to leave and she asked again for our drink order. I repeated that we needed a minute to figure out if we were going to eat here since there were not many food options and absolutely nothing on the menu for our 2 year old to eat. We were really looking forward to trying this place out, but decided to leave because it was too hot inside, the menu didn't have anything we wanted to eat and it seemed more expensive then the regular menu found on their website.
Sam was very pleasant as a server. The food was a little bland, but the Australian lamb was delicious.
It has become our go to place for Baldwin Park dinner! There are several nice places to eat, but all of the rest have tremendously noisy venues. If you want some conversation and some great food, Meza!
Their Chicken is perfect, perhaps my favorite sauce ever. Enjoy!
Its our second time in and it was a pleasure again to dine here with friends. The service was really good and the food was good as well. We will be coming back. Our waiter/ server was really attentive and nice.
Meza is an extraordinary find. Tucked around a corner from New Broad St, this is not only Baldwin Park's best dining opportunity but about the best in all Central Florida.
Superb service and wonderfully prepared food, with a fine choice of wines, in a comfortable setting made for a terrific dinner out.
I almost don't want to recommend this place its such a hidden gem! We found this place by accident and could not believe how good it is. We've been back twice and it has yet to disappoint .
Food was excellent. Service attentive. Will definitely go back!
The restaurant is adorable and easily accessible. Food was delicious, great service and affordable. I highly recommend for various occasions.
The menu didn’t have a lot of options that I’m used to seeing at a Middle Eastern restaurant.....how can you not have shawarma or lamb shank? We had a bunch of small plates - eggplant caponata, dolmades, falafel, and the dip trio with hummus, tzatziki and baba ghannoug. Everything was ok, not bad but not great.....it all just lacked flavor. Service was very good and the ambiance was nice. I just wish it tasted a little more authentic.
I reserved a time, but it was never received by the restaurant. This delayed our being seated. They also had a restricted menu that night, but no mention of it until our server showed up. The crane cakes were cold in the middle, but the rest of our food was pretty good.
Valentine’s Day had fixed menu, gave us an opportunity to try some new menu items. 4 of us combined to try all of the offerings. Everybody was pleased, service good as usual. Beginning to be able to say consistently good as this is time #6!
This was our third time to Meza and it won’t be our last! Their charcoaled chicken breast is fantastic, with one of the best sauces I have ever tasted!
The servers have each been excellent on each visit and we are very pleased with the wine list and wine prices.
Sam is great. Chicken kabobs are fantastic! Not at all crowded. Great experience.
We were entertained by a belly dancer which was a nice touch to a good dinner with friends.
Great food. 2nd visit and just as good as I remembered! Great atmosphere, great staff!
Service was excellent, food was superb. Unexpected belly dancer show, wonderful. Will keep coming back.
Everything we ordered was exceptional! We had several appetizers - Meza, chicken and lamb dishes as entrees and Greek salad and Fatoush salad- we also had a variety of sweets - rice pudding was unbelievable.
The owner and chef was on top of his game in every way! It was our 3 rd time and will make it a weekly outing-
Excellent service as well!
